~ALHPA~
Each pack has its leaders the Alpha pair. The Alpha pair submit to no one and uphold the peace and law within the pack by constantly keeping aware of the social status of each wolf. The Alpha also keep charge of the territory, ensuring no one intrudes. Alpha’s express their feelings through dominate postures such as raising their tail high like a dominate flag, ears always locked ahead, eyes keenly aware of the surroundings. Alpha’s also force other wolves into submission, keeping peace within the pack. Without the Alpha’s there wouldn’t be a pack. There would be no leadership and no one to uphold the rules and enforce them. The Alpha ensures the pack is safe at all times and upholds the law and order. Wolves submitt on occasion to the Alpha, showing resepct and affection to the Alpha, considering a wolf pack is a tightly nit group of family members (and in our case friends as well).
~BETA~
The beta is naturally known as the second rank or second in command should something happen to the alpha(s). If something where to occur or happen to the alpha(s) such as illness/death/weakness then the beta(s) would step in. The beta is a strong natural leader, the right paw of the alpha willing to serve where needed and do what he/she can for the pack, to ensure a better home and environment for all.
~ELDERS~
Male or Female elder is a wolf of age (min 5yrs old) and experience, and can give advice to the Alpha's and Or Beta's, there opinions are thought of highly, and seeing there experience as an old wolf. There experience helps to teach the Young and the old alike. Elder wolves are normally wolves who've had a past of Alpha, Beta or some other rank, or just another pack member from another pack that could have Fallen, and are looking for a place to rest, and call home, to finally rest there tired old soul. The elder is a wise and trust worthy wolf. The elders teach of there experiences of there life, there wise, and teach the pups, young and old alike. They have kind and gentle hearts.
They were involved in not only advising adults but also were the ones to educate the children/young. Elders teach the young the pack customs so they get used to the life ahead of them. In this manner the elders hope to teach wisdom and understanding to the children/young as well as important skills such as hunting. This is important for their clan and society when they get older to know of their customs. An elder is a knowledgeable and wise, patient and generous.
~HUNTERS~
Males and females. wolves who hunt and sometimes leads pack hunts when the food supply is low within the clearings catche. After a successful hunt, the meat is stored under the Wapeka tree for safe keeping, to ensure the other members of the pack get there share of food. The pack hunters are incharge of the catche and food supply to the catche, ensuring its abundent and filled
The Lead Hunter is usually encharge of preparing hunts and informing the Alpha(s) and/or Beta(s) of their choosen hunting grounds. The Lead hunter is encharge to lead by example and help those who are to either become hunters, or the members of the pack become better skilled hunters. The Lead hunter is always there to help and guide the young in the ways of hunting. The Lead hunter is encharge of scouting out territory of roaming game to ensure a plentyful supply can be acheived as well ensure the catche (Wapeka Tree) Is constantly stocked espcially during the cooler days.
~GUARDIANS~
Are the wolves within the pack that execute the same principals as the scout. But the Guardians are more inclined to be with the pack and protecting the pack boundaries, staying with the pack in time of need or suspicious activities. The Guardians of the pack usually scout out the territory but not far from the boundaries. Guardian wolves show a keen spirit to protect the pack and a strict attitude and seriousness that carries to the pack, to help keep its unity. The guardian is responsible for informing the Alpha(s) and/or Beta(s) should something new arise, a new scent, problem etc. The guardians are respected within the pack for their bravery and chivalry to guard the home in which they love and would defend with honor and pride.
~SCOUTS~
The Scout is a wolf who looks out for the pack and well being. He/She is responsable to keep strangers in check, ensure there are no wolves who intend to cause harm to the pack and well being of the pack. The scout is encharge to meet the new wolves if the Alpha(s) or Beta(s) are not present. Scouts are also much like sentinels. They ensure the pack is safe from other intruders. They as well go out and scout the territory ensuring there's not a change, perhapes ensure that no other outsider wolves have marked over boundaries etc. Scouts are fimilar with neighboring packs, and are to report any changes with that pack to the Alpha(s) or Beta(s) if any.
~CARETAKERS~
The head caretaker, also known as the "Shaman", were looked upon as being a medicine healer. Shamans usually, being males, where individuals who could call upon the spirits to help them proscribe healing herbs for sickness and injured members of the society.
The caretaker of a pack is the wolf who's pledge there heart and soul to care for the well being of other wolves and the pack. Should a wolf become injured in anyway, the caretaker ensures that the wolf is healed and taken care of properly. The caretaker also will look and tend to look after the pups should the pack go and hunt. Caretakers tend to keep the pack in a healthy state.
~PACK MEMBERS~
Males and females. Includes pups, the omega, and adult members. There can be different ranks for any subordinates. Caretaker, scout, hunter, etc. Subordinates submit to the higher ranking wolves such as the alpha and/or beta. Usually by submissive postures. They make up the rest of the pack and family. Though some may not be bound to rank, they are still highly important.
~ASSESSMENTS~
Assessments are those wolves who have gone the next step from pledge to assessment. These wolves are those who still desire to join the pack and have gone through their pledge period without flaw or hesitation. This time in which a wolf has reached is very important within the pack itself. This portion of your trial to become a member of The Lunar Guardians Wolfpack is you must prove you are ready to join, know the rules well and the pack well. This ensures that Lunar Guardians is truly where you desire to be and most of all where you desire to stay. Lunar Guardians takes on the seriousness of family. The Assessment period lasts as long as needed to ensure that The Lunar Guardians is your home and that it shall be your ever lasting family.
~PLEDGES~
Pledges are those wolves who desire to join The Lunar Guardians. The pledge period lasts usually about 3 weeks depending mostly on your activity within the clearing itself. Showing dedication and being there furthers your chance of promotion as well getting to know your fellow packmates and gain new trust with them as well friendship.
~PUPS~
Pack pups are usually (but not limited too) the pups and yearlings within the pack. Wolves who are first born until they reach the age of 1 year. Pack pups are important to the pack because they help relieve the stressful enviornment that can sometimes take place within a pack. Pups also bring a lightfull ness and joy as well within the adult wolves of the pack as well bring new hope and light to the pack itself with new beginnings and a growing future to teach and learn the ways of the pack.
