"The Gaia hypothesis, Gaia theory or Gaia principle is a controversial ecological hypothesis or theory proposing that the biosphere and the physical components of the Earth (atmosphere, cryosphere, hydrosphere and lithosphere) are closely integrated to form a complex interacting system that maintains the climatic and biogeochemical conditions on Earth in a preferred homeorhesis. Originally proposed by James Lovelock as the earth feedback hypothesis, it was named the Gaia Hypothesis after the Greek primordial goddess of the Earth, at the suggestion of William Golding, Nobel prizewinner in literature and friend and neighbour of Lovelock. The hypothesis is frequently described as viewing the Earth as a single organism."
How can you win a war that you can't fight?
The year is 2033 and the Earth has become extremely overpopulated.With the cure of cancer,AIDS and the complete extinction of crime and war the population count has more than tripled since 2010 from 7,030,253,746 to 21,090,761,238.This increase in population has caused a huge problem however.Global warming has wreaked havoc on the climate and caused the ice caps to melt resulting in a decrease in livable land mass.Also due to so many people the trash output has increased wildly.Leading to trash dumping in the oceans and seas.The Earth is slowly crumbling beneath the weight of it's population.Environmental scientists have warned the public of the dangers that are rapidly approaching if a solution is not found soon.However their warnings go unheard as the media projects calm weather and peaceful skies ahead.....This couldn't be further from the truth.......
The year 2034 was ushered in with great praise as another year of peace and prosperity reigned.The warnings of the scientists faded as they gave up and all the fear of the world crumbling was set far at the backs of everyone's mind.....Until it happened.....The time was 12:07 AM on new years eve.A piercing inhuman wail sprung from the sky as a great block of ice struck a huge skyscraper and sent it tumbling to the ground killing many and sending the rest into a panic.Soon smaller chunks of ice about the size of dumpsters began pelting the major cities of the Earth.The death toll was mounting as the world began to crumble.Volcanoes long dormant spouted ash,fire and molten rock.The seas began thrashing violently drowning those living along the shores and washing their homes into the depths of the seas and oceans.The roots of the trees began to burrow deep into the heart of the cities and towns.Springing up in the middle of buildings and houses wrecking them completely.All forms of natural and apparently unexplainable disasters began to occur.Soon even the wild beasts began to act rapid and feral.Wandering into cities and devouring anybody that happened to be seen by them.Those who survived these "attacks" and made it into relative safety began to remember the warnings of the scientists........The Earth is pissed and now they are gonna pay!
As of 3:07 AM of the 210,9076,1238 humans that lived on the Earth only 9,0761,238 survived.Now those left must survive this new savage Earth.Until they can figure a way to restore peace to the enraged Earth.Could it even be possible to do so?
