Origins of Life....
Long ago at the beginning of the world, there was only forest and sea. The sea was of fresh water because of the lack of death, and the forests were thriving across the world, but while there was no death, there was also no life. The trees had no spirits in them, there was nothing to enjoy such beauty, so the goddess created the first beings, spirits who would inhabit the trees, the plants, then some that were locked in cages of flesh, known as mortal beings, though they themselves were immortals. The two original mortal beings of the forest were wolfkind and elfkind. Elves, with their great intelligence, agility, and sense of mana, spirit, and nature. Wolves, with their incredible strength, strong sense of family and protection of themselves, and their territory,a s well as a deep sense of life and nature, and the leadership of all other animals. The other kinds slowly started to appear on the land, and for eons there was peace. The great spirit appointed over the forest, one of elf and wolf kind, then retreated to the Tree of Life to keep the forest alive. One day though, a curious creature emerged. It was like elfkind in it's body shape, but like wolfkind in it's fierceness in battle. They were called Children of the Goddess. Mankind. The goddess was dying, it turned out, her life expended giving the world it's, so she created her only begotten children, one's supposedly after her own image. The goddess told the forest take care of her children, for they were only infants in this world. Then she slowly died, content in her knowledge her children would live. The forest took care of man, teaching it of what to eat and not to eat, how to survive, make their clothing, everything. The trees themselves would feed mankind their fruit, the elves would help raise their children, and the wolves provide warmth in the cold nights, but one day mankind's curiosity gave way to corruption, the first sin. What if a tree doesn't want to give its fruit, shall I cut it down and take it? It is unknown who the first man was who cut down a tree, but it was a deafening scream that rang out in the forest. He then used the body of the tree to build something to rest on, and decided that if he cut down more he could make an enclosure, a home, but he'd need more trees, and room. Soon there were homes in a large amount of the forest, though the forest still covered the majority of the world. The tree's wept the lost of their sisters and their spirits withdrew into the ground. The elves and wolves were unsure how to react to this as death had never happened in the forest before, so they continued helping mankind. Then there was the second sin. What if I want an elf to take care of my children for me, and they don't want to? Soon men were kidnapping elves as slaves, forcing them to take care of their children while they persued new breakthroughs in ironworks and industry. This made need for the third sin, money, selling living beings for pieces of metal, and also the forth, pollution, which fouled the airs across the world as mankind grew. The elves that could retreated deeper into the forest, but most were hunted down and enslaved, for now more than just housework, for manual labor, and for...darker things, without going too far into it. The elves asked the wolves for help, but the wolves now unsure of what to do continued to serve man, as the nights grew colder. Then the fifth sin, what if I want to be warmed by a wolf's fur all the time? Soon man was making weapons, for war, the sixth sin, and using them to kill wolves for their fur, and to make wolves their slaves as well. This was the last straw for the wolves, who rallied and declared war upon the humans. Humans, however, with their weapons of war and armors of iron, were just too much for the wolves, who were forced to retreat as well. Then the seventh sin, one that nearly destroyed the world, but this one was not brought on by man, but by wolf. The wolf who did this is infamous for his act, for her took the life of a human child, one still innocent, and allowed humanity's corruption to spread to him. That corruption twisted him, and soon took tangible form, twisting everything he touched like a disease. The whole forest soon became a place of darkness that not even man would touch, until the great spirit was forced to sacrifice most of her power to cleanse it. The spirit then retreated again into the now dying Life Tree, as mankind slowly descended to raize the forest again...

The Last Forest...a world dying...
Mankind destroyed almost every forest on the planet. They not only destroyed the forests, but the elves and wolves that inhabited them. Elvenkind and Wolvenkind were the two most powerful races in the forest. These two once great races were now nearly extinct, and hunted down to the last forest, the Great Forest of Spirits. Humankind wouldn't dare destroy the entire forest, for it could destroy the entire world with it,and so the elves and wolves started to recover from their near extinction experience. Eventually, without warning the wolves attacked the last elven village. The pre-emptive strike ended with the death elf king and queen, leaving there teenage daughter to rule. This triggered a war between Elf kind and Wolf kind, for supremacy over the forest. As this war rages on,humans have decided this is the perfect time to slowly enter the forest, not to take it back, but to simply get the things it had missed for so long. Some seek to show their strength, others to make a profit from the sale of rare elven servents and wolf pelts. While this chaos takes over the last forest, the other creatures of the it are left with a decision, to either watch the sides eat eachother up, or to stand with one or the other, or against both. The forest is dying, and someone must save it, as the ancient corruption spreads untamed and slowly builds it's strength...
♈Setting♈
The forest is one that looks outwardly healthy, though parts of it are dead and decayed. It is as large as a continent, and though it is a forest, there are many environments within it. There is a snowy part of it, some hills, mountains, caves, everything that nature created, and man destroyed.
...Which side are you on? Which race can you swear loyalty too? Or will you fight to solve it all?
