Story

This story takes place in the lives of seven special people. They aren't special in the sense that they're inhuman or have powers or prophecies after them. No, they are special because they all stumbled across the same book.

One after the other, in rapid succession, they enter an old, worn bookstore. As if drawn, they travel to the back of the store, and find an old, tattered book on the floor. It's worn and faded, with no title written anywhere. Driven by some unknown force, they pick it up. As soon as their fingers touch the leatherbound book, a sudden whirlwind surrounds them, picking them off the ground. The book falls to the ground, opens, and the wind sucks them inside, leaving not a trace that they were ever there. The book falls harmlessly back to the ground, waiting for its next victim.

Six people end up within the pages, three females and three males. When the wind fades, they find themselves in a barren wasteland. The ground is dry and cracked and stretches for miles in every direction, as far as the eye can see. A desert, it's scorching hot during the day, and freezing at night. That is, until the sudden changes start to happen.

The seventh person is the last who is drawn to the book, a young teenage boy who needed a book for a report. He picks it up, but isn't pulled inside. Instead, he buys it and takes it home to begin to read. What he finds, is that the book is telling him exactly what happened and is happening to the six trapped inside. Soon, he finds also that whatever he wishes to happen, happens. He can make any changes to the people inside, their surroundings, their powers, weapons, adversaries... Anything.

So will he realize that he's changing the story? And how will he get the six out and back to the real world? Or will they even want to?
That is what we'll find out...

Please be semi-literate to literate.
This means "quotes for speech", itallics for thought, no chat speak or anything like that, and two to three sentences at least for each post. Try to stay away from one liners, though sometimes it's understandable.

I'm going to try and be picky with who I accept. Only 2 females and 3 males will be accepted.
Genders are balanced for a reason. Everyone needs to be straight.
If you submit a well known anime character for your appearance, I won't accept you.
I'm playing one of the girls and the boy who purchases the book 'cause I'm selfish. xD

No cybering. Keep romance to an acceptable level, though I do encourage it.
I have three of each gender for a reason. But, I don't like love at first sight, nor do I expect the first pair to meet to end up together.

Announcements
Announcements are important. Keep up with them. They will list OOC things, such as people disappearing and stating when they will leave and return.
They will also list the changes that the Control Freak has made to the book. These changes will be posted in the role play itself in this ornate post style. Then, it will be summarized here, along with the page number where the post itself is written so that you can easily find it to read the change in detail.

Control Freak Alterations:
1/18 - A sudden rain has sprung up, pouring suddenly and blocking out the entire sky with black clouds, complete with thunder and lightning. Also, a jagged outcropping of rocks have appeared as well, fifty yards from the group, the base littered with caves to provide shelter from the rain. (page 3)
2/3 - A giant worm has a appeared from the deep depths of the cave, towering over Andrea and too long to make out. A hole has been revealed in the base of the cave wall ten feet past the worm's head, down its length, large enough for a human, but too small for the worm. (page 6)
3/3 - The tunnel leading from the cavern carries them along a dark, winding, uphill path, eventually coming out into a massive dome of stone. A broad lies about ten feet in front of them with a wooden and rope bridge crossing it to the large stone city on the other side. Two tall men with dark skin, hair and eyes, stand at either end of the bridge holding primitive spears. (page 9)
3/6 - As the group enters the tunnel, the quiet Alan is whisked away by a sudden wind, dumped back into the real world, as another is taken to fill his place. (page 9)

OOC Messages:
1/16 -Sweety Wings quit, leaving us down one male. Disregard his previous post. The new member can say they landed in a different spot than us, and we'll meet up later.
1/24 -Cute - Dino - Undies has gone. Disregard her previous posts as well. Working on getting a replacement. =3=;;

1/30 - I realized it's probably better to have this OOC information post in the OOC thread, so it's been copied over there. Both will be updated. >3> And I've also decided I'll be messaging people when they're about to obtain their power or weapon, so we can discuss details and make sure everyone's happy.
