No one ever returns from hell, it's a fact we all know and understand, the bible says so, so why argue it? well, one man has... a poet from italy known only as Dante. Led by his mentor he traveled the nine layers of hell to recover the soul of his lost love. Although he failed his quest, dante chronicled his journey and returned alive to earth. The original manuscript of his journal was taken by the church and locked away, Dante himself was forced to write a false copy to distribute to the public. Dante though would not be silenced so easily, in his new poem he hid clues to the truth.
Hundreds of years later a simple school trip goes horribly wrong when the bus careens of the side of a cliff. As the ten students wake on the shores of the river styx, an old friend returns offering a second chance. Armed only with an ancient text and the fleeting advice of a man long gone, these students must travel the layers of hell and find salvation or be trapped forever in the eternal torments of damnation.
