2.Do not beg. This is a roleplay thread, not a charity thread. Do not spam, bump, or advertise in this thread. This is NOT the chatterbox. You can bump and advertise things in the OOC thread, but that's it.
3.) PM your profiles to me and I will post them in the OOC. (Check 6th post for profile coding format). I'm going to try for an even gender ratio, so if I don't accept you, please don't be offended.
4.) Do not post and leave. I want this thread to be active. Post frequently and do not join if you know that you are not going to post. If you have any reason to leave for an extended period of time, or you’re going to be gone for a few days, do try your best to inform me before you do. I understand that we all have lives away from the computer. So, if you're going to disappear for a while, perhaps you could allow puppeteering of your character.
5.) Please no mass quoting! It stretches the page and it looks awful.
6.) If you have any questions, feel free to PM me and I will do what I can to answer them.
7.) There is to be no godmodding or auto-hitting. That means: Roleplaying in-character but ignoring all rules of roleplay, dictating what happens to other roleplayers' characters, making their own character a super-being who can't die, every attack they perform hits, they dodge every attack directed at them, they are unfairly powerful compared to other characters.
8.) No one-liners, please. This is semi-literate to literate, okay? So please post at least a single paragraph containing up to five sentences.
9.) You must be semi-literate and up to join. This means spelling out your words, using correct punctuation, spelling, and grammar to the best of your ability. It doesn't have to be perfect, but it can't be chat-speak and it should look like it has a little bit of effort behind it.
10.) Do not cyber here. Romance is encouraged, sex is not.
11.) When role playing do not use **, --, ~~, or anything of the sort to signify actions. Use quotations “ “ when your character is speaking, and separate your OOC speech by using brackets or parentheses such as: {}, [], () and the like.
12.) In regards to the rule above... if you disappear and have not contacted me or you have been gone longer than you've informed me you would be, I will PM you and try to see what's going. If you don't get back to me, I'm afraid I'll have to bump you from the roleplay. You can come back later in the roleplay, but you'll have to contact me first.
13.) Use your imagination. Don't try to rip off characters from animes or video games and what not. Use your own characters, please.
14.) For this RP, you cannot be half-animal things. You can have were-creatures, but they must have a standard human form and a standard animal form. No half-forms.
15.) Please see about decorating your posts in some way. That way it's easier to tell everyone apart. Not to mention it just looks better that way.
16.) At the top of each post and on its own line, you will post your location. It will be in bold and underlined normal-size font. Doing it this way will allow others to know if they are near you or not. That way they don't respond to something you said from hundreds of miles away. That would be awkward. Several thousand years have passed since the time of the Creator. To many citizens of Avereth, the stories of their creation are simply allegory. Many have forgotten the powerful magics of their people. Others have lost track of the shape changing qualities in their bloodlines. Many more have lost respect for the other races and have disregarded the ancient warning of the Creator.
Control has often jumped between the races, as they all wished to be in charge. For a short time, Avereth was divided into several countries, each ruled by a particular race. No one was ever satisfied with their piece of land and wars often broke out. It was then that the more religious folks would come out and warn the warring kings of the Creator's promise of their demise, should they keep fighting. The wars would abate for a time, but they would always return.
To prevent more fighting from cropping up, a human king made deals with the other kings of the world, bringing them all under one control - his. The continent was united under one kingdom and has been for several hundred years. In that time, the kings have always been human with the other races serving as a council of advisers.
There are old places in Avereth that have not been visited in a very long time. Now there is a darkness brewing in the ancient lands of the world.
Strange monsters and masked and cloaked raiders have been spotted in the Roharec Desert and the Wastes of Caylecus. Lately no word has come from the homesteads around Crain Lake. All is not well.
The human King Godric - the 73rd King of Avereth - senses troubling times on the horizon. Tensions between the many races haven't been so high since the time of myths and legends.
Some time after the King voiced his fears to the council, an eclipse of the sun cast an eerie darkness across the land. The sky was shrouded in red with the sun's light burning around the edges of the darkened moon. Some have taken it as a sign that the end is near. Others fear a far more sinister deed has occurred.
An eclipse was not horribly uncommon, as they happened every few years or so. However, this eclipse turned out to be different from all the others, as it lasted a conspicuously long time. For an entire day, the world was tinged in red light. When the eclipse at last abated, the land breathed a collective sigh of relief. Perhaps the end would not come at all.
It was then that ominous reports of a secret cult were whispered among the religious sects. Apparently there were claims that there was an attempt on the "life" of one of the Great Spirits - which Great Spirit it was, the accounts differed. The eclipse was supposedly caused by powerful dark magic that drew out several of the Great Spirits - Llewelyn of the Sun, Conor of the Moon, and Eleanor of the Night. Now, according to the bizarre gossip, one - or even several - of the Great Spirits was trapped in mortal form. Even now, they could be wandering lost or trapped by the mysterious cult.

- What's the required length of my posts?
Like I said in the rules, you should post at least one paragraph of five sentences. That is the minimum. It isn't much to ask.
The maximum length... just don't write a novel, okay? It's fine to do that every once in a while, but you want people to be able to respond to your actions, don't you?
What can you tell me about the world?
I could tell you a lot of things, actually. I've compiled everything you should need to know in this thread for your viewing pleasure!
What species are allowed in this roleplay?
You can find the list of species and everything you need to know about them in this thread as well. ^^
What sort of currency is there?
I like taking a casual approach to something like this... so let's go with gold, silver, and copper, shall we?
Here's the breakdown:
(G) = Gold || (S) = Silver || (C) = Copper
1000 (C) = 1 (S)
100 (S) = 1 (G)
Obviously copper coins aren't worth that much. XD
Which species can learn magic?
All of them!

How will battles work out?
In a rather standard way.
First off, if you are going to start a fight you must be prepared to finish it before you log off.
You must allow everyone involved in the battle to react to any actions you make before you decide on yet another action.
No auto-hitting or any sort of godmodding that is listed in the rules.
No killing anyone else's character unless they give you permission.
Where did you get those awesome banners?
I got them from Elven Lament, a profile shop run by Homiko. She's super nice and has great prices, so drop by her shop sometime and leave a compliment!
How many characters can I have?
I'd really prefer only one character per person, that way the roleplay relies on a larger amount of people. But... two would be okay as well. So two is the maximum. You'll need to submit separate profiles from them. You'll also need different posting styles for your two characters, that way people can tell who you're playing at different times.
