1. Follow Gaia rules.
2. Romance is highly encouraged but keep it PG-17 and No cybering. Some of us have better things to do than read mini-pornos so time-skip when clothes start flying. Also, remember there is more to the plot than making goo goo eyes at your lover.
3. Please, for everyone's sake, No godmodding/auto-hitting. It's annoying and unfair. Work things out with the person you are fighting if there is the need. I don't foresee many real fights happening around here but there is always that possibility. If something comes up, please remember that your characters are indeed human and subject to the mortality of life. You fall off a horse, you will have something broken to the point of being bedridden for a month or more.
4. Yes, you may curse if you choose (I know I do) but keep it at least tasteful. I don't want to see a character dropping f-bombs every other word.
5. Absolutely NO TEXT TALK! OOC is fine in small doses and with an actual post but there is an OOC Thread for extensive conversations. This is a Literate RP so use proper grammar and spell check. "" for talking italics for thought and normal text for action. Try to make your posts elegant but not over the top with, at least, your character's name and/or picture. I would like to see at least two solid paragraphs. I know we all get writer's block but if you can't pull that much, I think you should reconsider joining.
6. For the sake of all fairness, I would ask that applicants only submit ONE character. This rule is subject to change if I see fit but, for now, there are a limited number of available spots and a single person dominating the entire RP is no fun for anyone. If there is a significant amount of time passed since anyone has joined and there are still spots open, I will allow for more characters to be entered but that will be at my discretion.
7. Always remember that this is for FUN! If you're not having fun, then there's no point in doing it. I enjoy RPing and I likely always will so I do my best to make sure that everyone else is having just as much fun as I am. ^_^
8. I am the RP Goddess and I may change or add rules as I see fit.


If you do not adhere to these rules, you will be blacklisted and barred from my thread for the life of the RP. It will be my prerogative who is allowed or not and my word here is law! Some cases may be reviewed but not necessarily overturned.

By all rights and reasons, these two words should never both be used in reference to the same thing. The history of the world has told us all that you cannot be courteous and disagree. You cannot be flattering and opposing. It's simply what we have been told, yet we disprove this simple fact of life each and every day with the way we live our lives and the manner of people we bind ourselves to. As the saying goes, opposites attract but can they stay together? Is the drama of life enough to tear apart the fragile bounds of the contradictory? Or is the human heart stronger than the conflict of life?

The year is 1845 in the great city of London, England. Queen Victoria rules her beloved country with a benevolent hand and society flourishes. Nobles and their parties, merchants and their trade, all wander through their lives in seeming bliss but there's something missing. Every person has a complimentary contradiction, the other side of their proverbial coin. Be they a stranger on the street or someone right beneath their noses, ten lost souls must find their other halves. If they don't...well, that's one miserable life, my friend. We all deserve a little happiness. We've all had our share of heartache in our time on Earth. I suspect there's more to the world than tedious meanderings and meaningless flatteries. If given the chance, the heart is stronger than the mind. How hard could it be to open our eyes to see what we missed?
A word of caution to this tale...things aren't always what they seem. These ten souls all have something in common that binds them together, a thread of Fate woven through each of their lives. They may not know it, but there are forces at work in their daily lives that will test their courage and their dedication. The events of this year will hinge on the ability of these ten souls to overcome the differences in social status and personality to keep the rest of England stable.
