[ world of axtrius ]

Eight spheres;
Representing the eight elements and the Divine Beings.
Eight kingdoms;
At war with each other.
Eight children;
Chosen ones of the Divine Beings.
One world;
That's waiting to be saved.


The World of Axtrius was envisioned to be a peaceful and tranquil place by the eight Divine Beings. In order for this to happen, these eight Beings' had to suppress their great powers somehow. It was because of their overwhelming powers that Axtrius could never be what they wanted it to be. Axtrius was destined to perish in pure chaos unless something was done. So Solus, the Divine Being of Light, came up with the idea of suppressing their powers within sacred orbs. The other Divine Beings agreed that that would be the best and safest way to do it. After these sacred orbs were created, the Divine Beings poured a portion of their powers into them. Not long after, the orbs were distributed through out Axtrius, given to the head priest or priestess of each kingdoms temple's. The announcement was made throughout the kingdoms that the sacred orbs were in their kingdom's territories, but the locations were kept secret. But that didn't stop the power-hungry people from searching for these spheres.

For many years, the sphere's locations were hidden from everybody, except royalty, and were heavily guarded. But one day, an Unknown force invaded the kingdoms and stole the Eight Sacred Orbs of the Divine Beings. No one knows how it happened because none of the guards were harmed in any way and the locations where they were hidden weren't damaged either. After the Divine Beings heard about this incident, they choose one person from each kingdom that had the strongest and purest hearts to bring back their kingdom's sphere. The Divine Gods decided to put a mark upon these individuals to show that they were the 'chosen ones'. A small tattoo of their kingdom's symbol located pretty much anywhere on their bodies. Along with the mark, the chosen individuals could change into the creatures of myth.

And this is where our story starts.

Not a very hard rule to follow, right? I'm sure that you've done plenty of other roleplays before so you should know what I mean when I say follow Gaia's TOS, okay? This roleplay is PG-13. I don't mind if your character swears, but that doesn't mean that every other word is the F-word. Romance is encouraged but if it gets to a certain point, please do a time skip. Also, notice on the characters, there are four people in each 'party'. The two main characters and the two 'supporting' [I guess you could call them that] characters don't have to fall for each other. The supporting characters can fall for the main character and vice versa.

As it says in the title, this is a literate roleplay. Now everybody's interpretation of a roleplay being literate is different so here I am to explain my interpretation. I would appreciate four to five paragraphs per post. Each paragraph needs to be at least five to seven sentences each. Absolutely no one-liners. I know that people can get writer's block, but one-liners don't help other people out. Trust me. But your posts don't need to be novels either. Please keep these ideas in mind. Please use correct spelling and grammar. The occasional mistake is okay, everyone makes them, but I don't want to see a post that has a lot and that's noticeable. I guess you could say it's a pet peeve of mine.

Please, please, please! make your posts pretty! Please at least include a picture, name, and design in your post. Also, the text should be no smaller than 9 and no larger than 11. Any other size bigger than eleven bugs me because it looks ... messy. But don't overload your post with pictures, it makes it look really messy/sloppy.
As for activity, please be active! If you apply for this roleplay, you must be committed to it. I would like you to post at least every day or every two to three days if you can. But if for some reason you can't post for a while [ex: vacation, family in town, ext.] please tell me so I don't have to delete your character. I feel bad when I do, but if I have to I will. And also be active in the OOC. That way you can get to know the other roleplayers here and come up with ideas for your part of the story.
