Prince Elrick

Elrick felt perplexed in her sudden change of demeanor. She seemed upset about something, though he couldn't tell what. Before he could ask, though, she asked him a question. Who did he want to marry? He opened his mouth to answer, paused, and closed his mouth with a frown. Elrick chose his words carefully. "There is no one I am close enough to, at this point in my life, to want to marry them." He paused, feeling like he wasn't really getting his point across. "I haven't met many girls, but then it never really mattered who I might want to marry, did it? My Mother was always going to choose someone suitable for me, whether I liked her or not." Elrick thought about what he wanted to say, and continued. "What I mean is, I've never wanted to get close to anyone...to know if I might want to marry that person. Because...I probably would not get to choose my spouse. It would only end in pain for both parties." Elrick glanced up at her. "Do you know what I mean?"

Lynn nodded delicately.
"Yes, I understand. I still think we have a choice here.
I do not think we're being forced to marry into our age group."
She pondered, looking at the darkened sky.

"I don't know.." He said softly, shrugging a little. "It is not late enough to go to bed, nor am I tired enough... and it's getting darker by the moment." He said, looking at the sky as they reached the front door, and he pulled it open for her. "After you, Princess." He said softly, bowing slightly. "What would you like to do?" He then asked her.

" i'm not sure..." she says as she tries to think of an answer.

Stepping in after her, he looked around, sighing softly. "Hmm... You think in a place this size, we'd be able to find something to do.." He said, tilting his head to the side.

" Yes, but all there really is to do is wander around the mansion." She says walking towards the living area.

He nodded, sighing softly. "Yeah... you're right.." He said softly, following after her. He walked over, and shifted to sit on the couch, sighing softly again, running his hand through his hair, not caring he wasn't wearing a shirt.

She goes to sit next to him."Would you like to listen to some music?"She says smiling up at him, blushing as she looks away. She reaches for the music remote, and hands it to him so he can choose what type.

"That sounds nice.." He said softly, then took the remote, tilting his head to the side as he decided what to put on. He raised the remote, and clicked it to change too a station that had several different types of music on it, and changed up ever few songs or so.

"This sounds nice." She says smiling at him. "What to do now?" she asks him, she gets bored very easy so she likes to keep busy.

"I don't know.." He said again softly, sighing. He was really bad at deciding what too do when it came to being bored. Most of the time he was pretty good at deciding things.

Elrick paused, gazing at her in wonder. "Truly? I had thought we would be matched up according to our ages. It seemed the sensible thing to do." He shook his head, a sudden smile breaking out on his face. "I guess we should be grateful for this, at least." Elrick stepped towards her then, the water swirling around him gently as the waves receded. "If that is the case, my lady, then you must know who I would choose..." Elrick stopped, unsure if he had been too forward. Feeling rather awkward, he ducked his head shyly and noted that the sun had almost dipped beneath the horizon. There was only a few minutes of light left.

Lynn blushed softly.
This prince before her was like no other.
He seemed to be like a proper prince; kind and curteous.
"Shall we head back inside soon?"
She asked, noticing the sun was vanishing quickly.

Elrick felt a bit gratified by her blush. Perhaps this meant she liked him too? "Yes. It is getting late, and I haven't greeted my brothers yet. Though that isn't really on the top of my to-do list." He chuckled and headed towards the shore. "Maybe we can grab a cookie or too on our way in?" He suggested over his shoulder.
