Welcome to Moonlust, the largest and finest city of all metropolis. It's mysterious as to why this place became a magnet of
wealth, entertainment, and happiness. Perhaps the reason lay on the intelligence of the founding fathers. Maybe it has to do
with the ever-growing moon that's been nearing as the days pass. Or maybe it's the heart of the people who maintain the
city to its uttermost glory. But one thing is certain: something big is happening in the shadows. People are dying and
accidents are increasing in such high numbers, it's surreal. With the darkness looming, death is only just the beginning.

Truth is, Moonlust and the Grim Reaper are no stranger. The industrial city is a home to crime in defiance of its glowing
reputation. But despite that, criminals aren't the cause of the accelerating amount of cold bodies. You are.

  YOUR CHARACTERS
  You're in Moonlust, the greatest city in the world! A place of games, adventure, and endless opportunities. But unbeknownst to you, there's a dark, Mystical Force that feeds off anger and acts on people's cruel desires even if they didn't truly mean it. It's only a matter of time before people start to realize they're playing a part in the death of their peers. But not everyone are so hateful. It's as if an angel is watching over those with kind minds. So be careful what you say or do, because your life depends on it. (ɴᴏ ᴄᴀɴᴏɴs ᴏʀ ᴏʙsᴇssᴇᴅ ᴋɪʟʟᴇʀs ᴀʟʟᴏᴡᴇᴅ).   YOUR JOB
  Have fun! The whole killing thing is something that happens against your will, though eventually the plot thickens when the truth about the Mystical Force comes out. Just stay alive. You have an option to kill or save as many people as you can. It'll come to an end once we reach a total of 100 kills. Don't worry, some of the kills will be timeskipped because 100 is a lot to get.
  MY JOB
  I'm playing the role of the Mystical Force, the good and bad. When I sense anger within characters, I'll PM you IC to confirm your feelings. If you truly do wish harm, then I will continue out the murder act. If you don't, then I'll back away. But remember, the Mystical Force is a finicky being. You never know what will happen....
  PEOPLE WILL DIE
  Yes, this is a roleplay where characters will die whether you wanted it to happen or not. It's ok, we'll all cry together and mourn their death, no hard feelings. But the fight must go on! It's ok if characters die; you can make new ones. Rps die all the time along with the character you created with them, so this is not so different. Don't be afraid to invest. Grow with us.
  THE SETTING
  To clarify, this is a make-believe city. Be what race you desire, but understand that the only magic allowed is what a typical entertainment magician would have (i'm flexible), and you can't be op since this is a killing rp. Be imaginative with the setting. There are airships, talking animals, and living toys. Make this as much your creation as it is mine. The only thing I ask is to keep it within this dimension, so no otherworld places or beings please.
  DISCLAIMER!!
  Just because this is a killing rp doesn't mean you die in like, five posts. In order to die you have to make someone wish you were dead. It's not that easy. The point of this rp is to have fun and interact with other characters as you would in any other thread. Enjoy this dark, pseudo-steampunk, fantasy-like world while at the same time know that there are killers amongst us. Chances are, you won't die at all.
  SPECIAL EVENT GAMES
  I'll be giving out gold for special events. These events are purely RNG, so everyone has a chance. Some of the games require you to RNG within your IC post so you're not winning by spamming the OOC. Then there are some games that do require you to post in the OOC. You'll see what you have to do to play the game in the opening post which is linked in the daily REPORT section, or you can ask me.

  LITERACY
  Write in third person, don't use symbols for actions, no l337, and you'll be fine! Everyone messes their grammar up once in awhile, so as long as you're willing to learn, you will get better overtime.
  POST
  At least one paragraph and I don't care how short that paragraph is as long as it isn't a one liner.
  BEING ACTIVE
  If you're inactive for two weeks without warning, you have to drop one of your characters and they will be put in the spoilers of the character section. All character there will be killed at the end of the rp day. I'm flexible so long as I get a heads up if you're going to be busy for long periods. You must post at least once the week of your turn per character you own unless you are waiting on someone else (except if they already passed their one week mark). If you continue to miss the week deadline, I will kill the character.
  READ THE RECORD SECTION
  Everything in the post titled THE RECORD is filled with what's currently happening so it's easier for new members to jump right into the rp without being completely blind. I update it when I can so you can trust what's on there without worrying if it's old news. Introduce yourself in our ooc as well! We love to say hi!
  MOD
  I'll be monitoring all the kills so if I say something doesn't fly, then you can't complain. Don't worry I'm not a hardass, I'm just going to make sure no one is too OP or are trying to randomly off people's head. I am playing as the "mystical force" in the rp, that's why I'm the one writing out the death scenes. I have a lot of power when it comes to people's death. If somehow a character doesn't die when they're supposed to (rolled it), or they die when they shouldn't have, don't get upset (they're rare cases). I have my reasons. I'm keeping some info of the rp to myself because I want you guys to play in the same mindset of your character. The more they start to learn, the more I'm going to reveal everything. I just don't want your characters to be all-knowing from ooc knowledge.
  NO DRAMA
  I know having your character die is going to be a heartwrenching thing, but you knew what you signed up for. Don't blame anyone for anyone's death (at least not seriously). No bullying! Let's all be happy and sad friends together because I will ban anyone who tries to destroy our peace of mutual destruction.
  KILLING
  Only RNG MF kills/saves will be counted for in your character's scores! That means the only way to gain the special "one time abilities" will be through RNG. Also, character vs character kills don't require RNG, unlike the MF, so it's entirely up to the victim if they want to do the roll or not.
  DANGER RNG
  In order to stop the OP-ness of avoiding consequences from breaking the law, and to keep the rp more realistic, I'm putting in a RNG to keep you baddies in line. Your luck against mine. So you either get away with what you're doing, or I catch your character and punish them accordingly. RNG (1-10) and the highest number wins! Ties go into my favor. If you're wondering if characters can go to jail...the answer is yes. Be warned! I will be the one to initiate this roll if I think you guys are doing something extreme (mainly involving witnesses).

  HOW KILLING WORKS
  ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
  
  
  1A. ANGER (me to you)
  Your character has to be be fuming and want that person to have something bad happen to them in order for the Mystical Force to answer your call. I will then PM you, writing in a way to confirm your emotions. Depending on your response, which you will also write in character, I will either attempt to kill your target or walk away. You cannot try to kill the same character more than once a day.
  1B. ANGER (you to me)
  If you want to kill someone but I didn't pick up on your emotion, or you want to do it secretly, you can PM me an in character post of your person in anguish. Then I will respond accordingly. Remember, you need a good reason to want someone dead. None of that "he tripped me" bogus—at least, not this early in the round.
  You can only have one kill attempt at a time. Until your attempt either succeeds or fails, you cannot send another form. Also, you are able to kill npc's and such.
  2. (VICTIM) ROLL YOUR FATE
  After I write the attempt murder, the victim must do a RNG (1-6) in your post to try and cheat death. Remember, once you get "injured" twice, you're dead. The only way to get rid of an injury is to roll a 6.
  1-2 = death
  3-5 = injury
  0-6 = safe + nullifies "injury"
  3. GAIN SPECIAL ONE-TIME "ABILITIES"
  Safe escape = your victim gets a -1 on their roll.
  Successful kill = gain an extra life
  4. HIGHEST RECORD GAINS SPECIAL PERMANENT "ABILITIES"
  Kill 25 = your dice roll is +1
  Kill 50 = it's easier to "kill" people
  Kill 75 = your victim's dice roll is -1 unless they roll a 6
  Kill 90 = if your victims don't roll a 6, they're dead
  Save 25 = your dice roll is +1
  Save 50 = you now automatically save people
  Save 75 = you cannot be targeted to die
  6. SAVING PEOPLE
  Roll a 1-2, one is failing while two is succeeding the rescue. But if it's out of your character to save people, or that person specifically, then I would abstain. This is still a rp even if it does revolve around the game of survival. If you're wondering what's the purpose of saving people...think of it as karma. Good things will come. You can only save people who will die unless saved, and you can only try and save once a day.
  7. GOOD VS EVIL
  Understand that the more good you are, the harder it is for you to die and accidentally kill someone out of anger. But the more evil you are, the easier it is for you to kill even with a petty reason. If you're in between, then your fate will be determined by your actions. Careful what you say and do, because it matter in this rp.

It has every ride imaginable and there's so much things to see to that it never gets old coming here. They have a place for thrill seekers, romantic escapes, concerts, and a horror town for anyone who likes a good scare.
  TOY FACTORY : this place is a community of living toys and oddities. It's a fun and colorful place to visit when you're feeling under the weather.
  BOTTOMLESS PIT DINER : a diner without a menu because it serves whatever you're craving.
  SHANTY TOWN : the lowest, filthiest, poorest, and lawless district in the city. Careful coming here, it's a maze that you don't want to get lost in.
  ABANDONED CHURCH : it's one of the tallest buildings in the city. The architecture is beautiful, truly magnificent, though decades of neglect destroyed its grace. Rumors say it's haunted. (note: there are no bad spirits here if you want to encounter something)
  KINKO'S BAR : a popular bar located in The Labyrinth
  MOONLUST LIBRARY : the biggest and oldest library in the city. It's a grand building, six stories tall, located in central downtown. The inner garden makes for a wonderful place to read.

Wolfgang wasn’t particularly fond of the Night of Shadows.

Any sort of function where dirt cheap labor was expected of him was bound to drop
low on his list of Favorite Things to Do, but he had a certain penchant for griping
over holidays in particular. He supposed that it was the dismissive nature of the
attendees that ate at him. Entertainers for the damn thing were all but shadowy
figures in the eyes of goers—who noticed the background bodies sweating in the
heat, (and he hated the heat), creating the future litter utopia? He preferred solitude
most days, but being purposefully left out of the frivolity felt like a personal slight.
Still, the list of requests came pouring in, properly stamped and signed by the
event planners and sketchy sound guys—none of whom he’d met before. They
certainly enjoyed sending him work, though! The most mindless and unimpressive
ilk they could imagine! Everything he made today would surely be spent on booze or
angry utility bills tomorrow.

It wasn’t as if his morning had started any better. The layer of dust settling snugly
on his house was becoming insufferable. The entire decaying wood trap was falling
apart faster than he could repair it. He lacked the money and the energy to do any
major fixing, so the whole splinter collection was one large series of patch jobs, all
strung together. He’d taken his mother’s picture off of the kitchen wall so that she
couldn’t stare at him in judgment.

Wolf had saved a dog, recently. It had been a practically starved thing that he had
found at the edge of Wicker Wood, covered in fleas and missing an eye. Wolfgang
could tell that it had been a formidable beast at some point—it had the bone
structure for it—even if its strength was fading now. He had no idea how old it was,
or if it had ever had a home. He started the habit of making up elaborate
backstories for the mutt in his spare time. It had started out reasonable enough—
runaway, kidnapped, raised by wolves—but soon it evolved into elaborately
fantastical stories of canine shenanigans. The current story was that the dog was
an independent publishing mogul who had worked his way up in the industry being
an on-the-ground reporter, but did philanthropy on the side. He wouldn’t take a
bribe from the wrong dog gang, and they put a hit on him, so he’s on the lam,
trying to get by in a sick, sad world.

He decided to name the dog Sam.

Today was the first day of leaving Sam alone at home, and Wolfgang was
admittedly worried about separation anxiety, (though it was up in the air whether
the anxiety belonged to the dog or the man). He couldn’t handle another repair job
on the house if the dog chewed through something, and he certainly couldn’t afford
the train ticket and vet bills if something happened and he had to travel to the
animal hospital two towns over. He grumbled a bit to himself about damned
expensive docs, his words muffled by the pick he was currently holding in his
mouth. It fell from his bottom lip and he swore.

Wolfgang stomped off of the stage, searching for the lost pick on the ground. He still
had twelve of these damn song requests to fulfill, and the night wasn’t getting any
longer. He needed a distraction, a proper excuse to leave this place. Wolfgang
picked up the stray guitar pick.

Would leaving to catch a chicken count as an excuse?

Seven in the evening was when Lenore's shift for the day ended. The Magician walked her home -- it wasn't odd that she called him that even outside of work, was it? -- and she gave him a kiss on the cheek as usual as she went inside to change out of all that tulle. The flop and flounce of it was just right for the bright scene of the amusement park, but not so much for relaxing at home.

While the bath water warmed, Lenore went over her schedule for tomorrow. "Oh, goodness." she said aloud when she looked at the day. It was a holiday! She wasn't meant to be at home pruning in a bath! There was always some extra money to be won and fun to be had on nights like this. She shortened her bath to just getting clean and changed her clothing to something blissfully tulle-free. Naturally, Kinko's was the place to start looking. She peered around, but it looked as if the Magician was home for the evening like her plan had been.

She shrugged lightly, stepping into the bar and calling for something lightweight and with bubbles. The drink she got was slightly pink and tasted like cotton candy, reminding her of the amusement park with a fond smile. It would resemble the park in noise level soon enough, people would be sure to get enthusiastic about their celebrations. She considered trying to get the drink for free, but decided against it this early in the night, and instead found out what was planned. When the bartender was busy once more, she looked around for someone free to mingle with. The night was still young, and there was plenty of time until the scheduled events.

There were instruments set up, and a few musicians around them. It looked like there would be good music tonight, always a plus for her. She walked up lightly to a man who had just picked up a fallen guitar pick. "Good evening. I don't suppose you take requests?" she asked brightly, an endearing smile on her face. Lenore caught something of a sour look on his face, and added an amendment just in case it had been her fault. "Or will you join the festivities outside? I hear they are going to be letting a chicken loose, of all things, it will be quite the sight."

A sight she would love to place money down on, if there was a betting pool.

  It was a rather heated evening in Night of Shadows. It was a shame the event wasn't considered an actual holiday because if the savagery of darkness was welcomed in all Moonlust, it would be one of the greatest nights of the year. Who wouldn't want to embrace the forbidden features of humanity? Lust, pain, and pleasure deserved to be entertained together with the other traits more welcomed by society.
  
  Let's not kid ourselves - everyone, in the hidden chambers of their mind, were made to crave such eroticism. Those who deny that are simply liars. No one could be so innocent as to reject the forbidden fruit.
  
  Skeltz lightly licked his sharpened teeth, avoiding the dangerous cut to his tongue. He was hungry, but not for food. The only thing that could satisfy the emptiness inside him was the company of a fascinating creature. Good company was hard to come by, especially to his standard. There were just so many tasteless creatures that walked among them.
  
  There was a sudden bump of shoulders that made Skeltz stop on his tracks. He turned a sharp gaze at the stranger, his rage so inhumanly large that his hostility could be felt through the thick air. Then as if a sudden switch was flipped, the madness was gone. The darkness of his features were replaced with a warming smile so kind, he was like a different person.
  
  But when he spoke, they would quickly realize he was still the same. "A little blind, are you?" he said with such a bright expression that his cruel words hardly made sense.
