With virtual reality being a big hit, it was only a question of time before the gaming industry was going to expand towards it. In 2020, South Korea launched the world's very first VRMMORPG. HONOR Online, or HO for short, and it took the world by storm with their impressive futuristic technology. Not only could you hear and see the world, but you could smell and feel it as if you were there. However, what they had not expected was the massive attention their PVP system got. Soon enough, HONOR Online became competitive, paving the way for gaming as a sport. While it was recognized throughout the world, South Korea is the most established and most supportive of e-sports, hence the reason people from all over the world flocked to South Korea in hopes of playing the game on a professional level.
Since then, it's been seven years since the first server was launched. A community has been created by the game and competitive play is at its highest peak. Often when talking about HO, four teams comes to mind; Team Rapid Fire, Team Vicious, Team Star Catchers and Team Trigger Happy Bunnies. The rivalry has been intense between the teams, and with the World Championship around the corner, it has become even more intense. Who will come out on the top?

Our setting will be year 2027, South Korea. The upcoming season will be the 6th competitive. With Honor Online attracting people from all over the world, South Korea is more diverse than ever. Most of them have been playing for a long time and some even since the beginning. For the most part, they have been living together in gaming houses.
The roleplay will take place both inside and outside the game. While we will mostly focus on in-game events, we will be having some events outside the game!

Know that when applying, you're in it for the long run. We want this rp to go for a long time with lots of character development. I know real life can get in the way, but let us know if you're going to be gone for some time.
The post deadline is 5 days after your turn comes up in posting order. We will keep track of who is in which group/doing what, so we may ask for you to plan groups before time-skips/scene changes. If you do not make deadline, your character can be skipped in the post order, and the next person's post is due 5 days after. Each time you miss a deadline without letting us know you're preoccupied, you will receive a DM and a strike. The people in your group might skip you for that turn but 3 strikes and you're done- your slot will be reopened and we will not allow you to rejoin.

No classes are locked to races, but some roles might fit better than others, meaning if you choose a bad fit, you might not be able to win against a good fit. Seeing as the human race is the most balanced that fit any class, it is the most popular race.
tab►ELVES
Tall slender creatures and long sharp ears. The race is known for its beauty and is usually taller than humans. This race fits best with Artillery and Mage classes and worst with Tank classes.
tab►ANIMA
A race known for their animalistic traits. The appearance varies from player to player, and it can be anything from animalistic faces to simply having ears and a tail. Most animal types are available. Which classes fit better all depends on the type of animal. Mouse or cat type will fit classes like Assassins better than Tank classes, while a Bull might fit Tank classes better than Mages.
tab►DAEMON
While they look human like, they usually have different demonic markings. Can be anything from a different skin color and eye color to tattoos and horns. Because they tend to have more HP and Damage than human classes, they're preferred for DPS classes and suffer in Archery.
tab►FAE
While the faes closely resemble the elves with their long ears and slender body type, they are typically smaller and have a more childish posture. The race fits the Support and Mage classes the most and the Tank classes the least.

tab►TANK
[Knight]: The knight is the most mobile unit on foot. Using swords and shields, they pack a strong stable blow as well as have good health. They're the most capable tank on their own. The class often wears full armor and specializes in close combat. The class typically deal physical damage. The knight typically uses a sword and usually coupled with a shield.
[Lancer]: Compared to the knight, the lancer is more tanky, however, less compared to the templar. Out of all the tank classes, the lancer is the most balanced with both high magic resist and armor but still with decent damage. They deal physical damage.The lancer typically uses a large lance. For access to long range charging attacks, they can mount a horse!
[Templar]: Out of all three, the templar is the slowest and tankiest of them all with both high magic resist and armor. They do, however, deal little to no damage, hence the reason they're the slowest at leveling. Unfortunately too heavy to mount a horse. They deal is magic damage. The templar typically uses a hammer and a shield.
tab►ARCHERY
[Gunner]: Has the shortest range of the three classes. Compared to the other artillery classes, gunner is the slowest, but they are quite the heavy hitter, usually dealing tons of damage with AOE spells. As the other Artillery classes, they are quite squishy. The damage they deal is physical damage. The gunner typically uses a big canon either over their shoulder or with a strap to their side or a hefty gun.
[Sharpshooter]: The sharpshooter have the longest range of all the classes and therefore good as snipers. Their accuracy is top notch. Where the gunner tends to have AOE abilities, the sniper tends to have single target abilities. The damage dealt by a sharpshooter will typically be physical damage, unless the arrows are treated. The sharpshooter typically uses a long bow.
[Twin Shooter]: Medium range. They are quick on their feet with their dual shots and cooldown reduction as compensation for their lack of range. Because they use twin crossbows at the same time, their accuracy is less than a sharpshooter's. Like the rest, the twin shooter is quite squishy and low in defense and HP. The damage dealt by the twin shooter is physical damage.
tab►SUPPORT
[Enchanter]: Enchanters healing ability is quite weak compared to clerics, instead, they focus on buffing and providing shields for their allies. Enchanters are quite sought after for their mana management abilities, as they have the ability to transfer mana from one player to another. While the class has many utility abilities, they lack offensive spells. The damage they do deal is magic damage. As the rest of support classes, the enchanters are quite squishy, but a bit sturdier than clerics. Enchanters typically uses talismans or spellbooks.
[Cleric]: Cleric is the only true healing class. Where they lack damage, defense, and HP, they make up for with their massive healing and resurrection abilities; either single target or groups. An essential part of any professional team. The little holy damage they do deal is magic damage. The cleric typically uses a wand and shield as their main weapons.
[Druid]: Druids specialize in CC effects and debuffs, often in form of poison or DOT. Where the enchanter focuses on the allies, the druid focuses on the enemies. Using nature magic, they have abilities like slow, snares, damage debuffs, and so on. Compared to the other support classes, the druid has slightly more damage. The damage they deal is magic damage. They are the tankiest and strongest of the supports, though supports in general are the weakest in defense and attack regardless. The druid typically uses a staff.
tab►MELEE
[Ninja]: The quickest class in HONOR Online, they're can use invisibility to sneak around enemies and stab them in the back for a quick and powerful strike. While that is their preferred choice of battle, they are also a fierce opponent in close combat. They typically use two daggers or kunais, and if they need to throw a little distance, some shurikens. This class also has access to smoke bombs to help escape battle if necessary. They deal physical damage.
[Brawler]: Brawlers have the highest health of the melee class, as they use their fists to punch their way through victory! Versed in many fighting styles, they use their kicks and punches to defeat enemies in close quarters. They used spiked or specialized knuckles as their weapons for their physical attacks.
[Monk]: Like brawlers, they use close combat fighting, but deal magic damage instead. Summoning inner powers to their fists, they can fire powerful punches, but can also heal themselves with it if necessary. A very well self-reliant melee fighter that can fend for itself.
[Berserker]: Berserkers are known for their high HP and defense for a melee class. They can deal both magic and physical damage.The beserker typically use a large axe, which allows them to viciously fling themselves around and deal huge AoE damage. The few spells they have are usually traps, which makes hunting with these guys a lot of fun.
[Sword Dancer]: This elegant classes uses only swords and specialize in AoE attacks.They can swing their swords around, even fling them, and deal damage to multiple enemies at a time. They deal physical damage. Having a skill that can lower their defense and health even further to further increase their damage dealt, this is by far the most fearsome class in PvP.
tab►MAGES
[Elementalist]: Also called wizards, they specialize in one of the three elements in the game: fire, ice, or lightning magic. Fire magic often has more burst damage, while Ice is more utility based with their slows and Lightning focuses on DOT damage. As all mages, the elementalist's range is nowhere near the Gunner or the Sharpshooter, however, they make up for it by having a higher DPS. The elementalist is considered to have a medium range with a decent amount of AOE skills, however, they tend to have longer cool down times. The elementalist deals magic damage and typically use a staff or book to cast their spells with.
[Force user]: The force user specializes in dark and laser magic. Compared to the elementalist, they have slightly lower damage but compensate by having some CC abilities like slows, as well as blink and teleport. Just as the elementalist, the force user have a medium range as well as a decent amount of AOE skills and high DPS but long cooldowns. The damage dealt by the force user is magic damage and they use a magic disc as their weapon.
[Summoner]: Summoner is the only class that can summon spirits and beast to aid them in fights. Summoners typically have quite a decent amount of summons, but only able to summon two at a time. Abilities vary from summon to summon. Some familiars might be able to heal and buff allies, while some will fight and act as a weapon for the summoner. A special ability the Summoner have is the ability to temporary fuse with their summons, temporarily gaining the summoned familiar's abilities. Depending on their spirits or beast, they can act as support, have a medium range or close combat abilities. The class mainly have single target abilities, however. The summoner class is the most versatile of them all, being able to fill most roles, depending on how they are built. The class typically deal both magic and physical damage and their weapon of choice is talismans.

There is both 1v1 PVP, but PVP will be mostly referred to team battles. Team A versus Team B. Unless otherwise stated, the goal in team battles is to capture the enemy flag and bring it back to their own team’s safe zone, or to be the last man standing. Each map is random and the position where one is placed is also random. In these team battles, there will be a map of the area, but no indication of the team or their flag. Your allies and your safe zone is the only thing that will be marked.There will be an announcement with the objective just before the match starts and we will post additional information about this in the discord chat as time comes.

Virtual reality (VR) in this world works similarly to that as in SAO. You put on a helmet which lets you connect to the virtual world. One cannot move their bodies in real life once they're logged in. The helmet creates illusions by sending inputs into your brain, making you think you can see, hear, feel and smell the game. With that being said, what you know to do in real life can be "translated" into the game, meaning if you have real life experience with something, you are probably better at that certain thing in-game. The game will always try to help the body, though, so you can do things in-game that you wouldn't be able to do in real life. Also, with a recent update in the game, the game can influence your in real life being slightly. If you get drunk in game, you might feel a little dizzy or tipsy once you log out.

When you first enter, the game will have you calibrate to your body. The character will closely resemble your IRL face and body. However, that doesn't mean you can't change the appearance of your character, it's just how it starts when you enter. Hence the reason most just keep it like that. As mentioned, when trying to move your body, you will move your body in the game. Meaning it's quite easy to get used to. When battling, one has to aim and dodge as they would in real life. When using spells most tend to say them out loud for easier activation. However, an experienced player can activate skills by thinking and acting out the motion for it. That is very difficult as you still see some professional players call out the skill when using it.

Each season is about 10 months. In those 10 months, there are 6 tournaments whereas the last is the World Championship. For each tournament, each team will receive points and be ranked according to their points. Only the top 4 of each region are enabled to compete in the World Championship. Regions are divided into Asia, Europe, Africa, North America and South America, with Asia being the leading the past many seasons. Competitive HONOR Online is in its 6th year.

A team consists of 4 players, one of which being the leader. In a battle, what they say goes. They tend to be strategic or have a good overview. They can be DPS, Tank, or Support. Depending on the team composition, the rest of the roles are filled with different roles. Different classes can have different roles, even if they don't seem like it traditionally. Meaning a Force user can be a support if build correctly. The ace of each team can be any class but is often referred as Ace because of their stable performance in 1 vs more situations. If there are people in your team already, try asking them what sort of role they would like on their team perhaps. A balanced team would consist of a tank, two DPS and a support.

Stats are divided into 6 categories and have a max cap at 10. Each character will have 45 points to distribute.
[Health - HP]: Having a high health will increase your base HP. [Attack - ATT]: Having a high attack will affect your physical damage. [Dexterity - DEX]: Dexterity is used for speed, accuracy, and crit. Higher dex makes you faster, shoot better, and crit more often. Recently a large fish has been spotted in the large lake in town Mi’gare. The lake is rich with fishes of all kinds and that has resulted in the lake has become quite the popular fishing spot. However, the fishermen have been complaining that the population of the fishes has been dwindling thanks to the new monster fish. In order to once again stabilize their living hood, the town Mi’gare has put up a quest for adventures to take down the fish they dub the King. They do, however, advise any adventure who wish to take up the challenge to be careful, seeing as the fish is almost 33 feet in length and its speed is beyond what any of the fishermen have ever seen before. Are you up for the challenge?

Requirements: Must catch a grave robber/murder red-handed. Extra: The necromancer is trying to raise an army of corpses to take over the world.

High damage but squishy as a wizard, quick and tanky in the rat transformation. Requirements: None Extra: The wizard uses the rat to steal him riches.
