Rai's feet carried her towards the cafeteria without her really paying much attention. She was spacing out so much, in fact, that she accidentally collided with a boy who had just turned and walked away from the vending machenes with a good armfull of food. She tripped over backwards after running into him and fell to the ground at the same time as his bottle of coke hit the floor. The bottle tightned and the liquid foamed dangerously as she looked up nervously. She was about to say sorry when she realized that she recognized the boy, but she wasn't quite sure from where. But she quickly snapped out of her daze and vaguely found her voice "I'm really sorry..." she said as she grabbed the coke from beside her.

As soon as he'd stepped away from the vending machines he'd been hit by a girl who was knocked back and down. He took a slight step back and found that his coke was next to her on the floor. No doubt it was highly shook up and ready to explode. He fixed his gaze on her. He held out his free right hand to her;
"no worries...i was only going to drink it anyway"
He replied to her, humour in his voice.
When she was on her feet he bent down and picked up the coke. He looked down at her face. He'd seen her at a few of his parties. He couldn't remember if he'd invited her or one of her friends dragged her along. It didn't matter anyway, lots of people turned up who he didn't know;
"you ok...?"

She had taken his hand gratefully and shook her head. "yeah...no, I'm fine. I really wasn't paying any attention" she said with a small laugh. She glanced at the coke and gave an uneasy grin "I'd wait a bit before opening that now" She was about to ask if maybe she'd seen him from somewhere before her stomach gave another loud groan to remind her of why she had left the room in the first place. "I...yeah, I should get something to eat" she laughed a little nervously "I've also got a roommate who'll probably be suffering from post party hungers soon..." Her and half the dorm... she thought to herself.

He opened the bottle slowly and closed it when the foam rose to high. He repeated it until it was fine to open it. He smiled as he stomach moaned for some food. He put some more change into the machine;
"help yourself"
He'd put in enough for the same as him, basically a bottle, crisps and a chocolate bar or any other combination. He laughed again at her room mate;
"yeah, it was a good one...I haven't seen you at one for a while"
He replied. Her room mate was what he called a 'regular' at his house parties. He knew the 'regulars' quite well, this girl however he didn't know;
"anyway, whats your name?"
He asked, taking a couple of mouthfuls from the coke bottle. It was still fizzy which was a good thing. He couldn't stand flat coke...or any other fizzy drink for that matter...

She glanced at the vending machine and was going to refuse, but after a moment she decided not to since he'd already put the money in anyways. She pressed the keys to get a sprite, cool ranch doritos, and a kit-kat.
She quickly looked at him and smiled in understanding "I remember you now. I'm Rai." she reached down and grabbed the contents of the machine that had fallen and returned upright to look at him once more. "You're the one that throws all those parties that half my dorm likes to go to....you're right though....I haven't been to one in a while. I went to two or three but they kind of just seemed like the same thing again and again to me...um...not to be rude! uh...I mean...they were fun, i guess" she said hastily. She stopped for a moment, afraid she had insulted him.

He watched as she punched in the digits for the items she wanted. The fell one after another as his did. He took another mouthful of the coke. He was now running late tot he class, but it was the only lesson he was actually ahead of and was sure that the tutor would forgive him for it.
He listened to what she said, he couldn't argue with what she said. They were pretty much the same, he just threw them to give people something to relax to and forget the college work. He knew that under too much strain that people their age...younger and older for that matter, would do rather bad things.
"heh, no worries there...they are pretty much the same...I got somethin' planned for the next one though...you should check it out"
He replied. He had a few things in mind for it, he'd need to get them set up though...a fair ammount of planning and string pulling too...

She slid the kit-kat into her back pocket and smiled slightly in relief. She thought for a moment then shrugged "sure, I guess...Jen's been saying it's about time she dragged me to another one anyways." she grinned slightly as she opened her sprite carefully "Besides, it should be interesting to see if you can come up with a party that has more to do than get drunk...and if I get too wasted to function the next day, who will take care of my poor roommate. Jen sure parties hard...I'm sure you know."
She took a sip of her drink before realizing something "um..weren't you headed off somewhere? I'm sorry to hold you up..and thank you, but you really didn't have ta get me this" she said as she motioned to the food in her hands.

The next day Rai woke up earlier than usual as she had an 8 am class. Most people had said she was nuts for taking such an early class but she actually didn't mind. She was never one to sleep in too late anyways, so she thought of it more as something to do rather than sit around being bored. She woke up at 6 without her alarm going off, and as she sat up with a small stretch she looked around her faintly light room and took note of her sleeping roommate. After a moment she slid out of bed and into her flip flops just before grabbing her clear plastic shower bucket and a towel. She moved as quietly as she could in order to get into the hallway where she then held the door until it gently snapped shut behind her.

Rai moved silently down the hallway. Well, she would have been completely silent if it weren't for the bottles in the basket tapping together lightly with each off step. Once she reached the bathroom down the hall she happily started her morning shower routines. Showers in the morning were the perfect way to wake up in her mind. When she came out however, she nearly slipped on the bathroom floor. She caught herself, though, on a small counter to her right but had to drop the basket as she did so. Grumbling slightly she gathered up her things and wrapped her towel more tightly around her before heading back to her room and thinking of a way to make it so her flip flops wouldn't be so slippery.
