For thousands of years, the Gods and Goddesses have protected mankind from themselves and others. Now after many millennia, They have come to live among the humans, Acting as regular people and getting along with the humans. Some have even married humans. They live and carry on their lives as if nothing could go wrong, but unknown to them and the humans, things are about to get wild again. A new threat has arrived on earth and the Gods and Goddesses must team up with humans in an effort to defeat this new enemy. Demons. The time has come when immortal god and mortal man must ban together to defeat the common enemy.

Zeus sat in his mighty office going over what need to be done for the upcoming year. His office served as his throne room. It was in a massive skyscraper, pretty much in the center of the city. He had it built for when the Gods came to earth to live among the humans and their offspring. He was going over many forms and ledgers. Just things for the up coming years festivities. He knew this year was going to be crazy. He had to make out invitation to the party for all the offspring of his and the other gods and goddesses. He could have had Hermes do this, but he would just have the messenger god deliver them. He needed to do so many things; for the king of the gods, he felt swamped.

Finally was the day for Maria first interview for her first job. Waiting in the office waiting for the interview to start. When they tell her she had to go because they had to reschedule. Keeping a smiling on her face she bows and leaves. On the street she goes off into a day dream. Begins to walk towards the big sky scrapper where her grandfather is but she doesnt know feeling embarrassed she turns to walk out.

Meanwhile the goddess Artemis was returning to mount olympus after a hunt. She put all of her equipment away carefully and then sat for a few moments and enjoyed the day. There should be a lot of fun festivals this year. I hope Zeus is doing well keeping up with his paperwork She smiled thinking back on all the fun events the gods and goddesses had enjoyed in the past, and also thinking about what adventures may lie ahead.

Zeus still needed to send out the invites. He had one in particular. His granddaughter Maria. He knew she didn't know of him or her mother, but she was still family. Aphrodite would have a cow if she knew he was inviting Maria to a gods/goddesses party. He was king of the gods, so she could stuff it. he stood up from his chair and grabbed the invitation sitting on the massive Grecian marble desk top. he then looked at it and flipped it over and over in his hands. She is going to know her Grandfather. he thought to himself.

Maria heard the shout and nervously tried to sneak out before the man behind the door would come out. Needing help back to her house she knocked on the door nervously. "Um sorry Sir but uh I sorta need directions". Hoping he wouldnt be mad at her she always hated to have an angry business man. Watching to see if the door open she wonders what the big fuss was going on in the building.

"Finally, where have you been?" he asked Maria when she came in. He thought she was Artemis. "I need you to go get tonight feast." he said as he looked up. When he noticed his Grandaughter standing there he smiled wide. "Ah. I am so sorry my dear I thought you were someone else." He told her while smiling. He did hear her question. " I understand you need directions. To where?" he asked her before placing his hand on her back to escort her out of his office.

Maria had never seen a business man so seemingly happy to see someone bothering them. Walking with him out she says "Well to my house". When they take a chance to stop she put her hand to her chin thinking of the address to her house. She finally remembers, Pointing on finger up in a way that she had a realization. She tells him the address and than "Im truly sorry to bug you". Smiling sweetly an beauty aura begins to release from Maria. It was like a skunk releasing a stank at his enemies.

Zeus gave her a small smile. "Don't worry my dear, I don't mind help my...er...my new employee." He told her fumbling to not say she was his granddaughter. He then told the receptionist to get her a map and give her good directions on it to her home. "By the way I'm having a get together tonight for the company. Here." he told her as he handed her an invitation. He pressed it into her hand and closed her hand around it tenderly. "I would love it if you could come. I'll send a company limousine to your house to pick you up. It's casual dress so don't dress up." he added before telling the receptionist to see her out. He then stood and watched her as she left.

Looking at him and than to the invitation. Wasnt sure why he was inviting her but because of all the trouble he was going through for her to go. Nodding she takes the map and begins to walk off to head back home. Still he was acting very weirdly toward her which makes her very confused.
After awhile of walking she finally gets home and begins to get change out of her interview cloths and into something casual. Her father began to call her to do some chores before she goes. He didnt like the idea of her going to a party with random people but he couldnt stop her. As she does the chores she find her back acing alot she wonders why it was hurting her so much.

Artemis scowled a bit but maintained a strait face while answering Zeus. "I know there is much hunting to be done." She bowed a small bit politely and then took her leave. Walking down the mount she pet her elk companion and sighed a bit. She wanted to do her best to get along with all of the gods but sometimes it was hard to not let her attitude get the best of her. Sure in the past she hadn't always gotten along with people, like for example setting a scorpion on Orion. Though that was pretty great. She chuckled to herself. Well this upcoming feast will be grand! I'll be sure and bring more than enough game for all of the guests to feast on. Nothing like a great hunt. The moon shone beautifully tonight and her hair and arrows gleamed in it's light. Yes, tonight she will do some of her finest hunting yet.

After taking a small break she sat by a river and relaxed. Now, I wonder if that young lady will be present at the festival. Maria, was that her name? Artemis can't help but be interested in watching over all young women. She'll be working for Zeus. I suppose he's a great god and all but still..... perhaps I'll have an opportunity to meet her as well soon. However she could see her brother's chariot in the sky and the sun was rapidly rising. It is now time for Artemis to rest and then that night she will finish her hunting and make sure all is prepared for the festival.

Only two more hours left then he was free. Damian had been working at the junk shop for three years now. On its best days it was busy, but days like today it was dead. He had already been there since 8 AM. He really didn’t know why he had to come in so early, like he didn’t understand it at all. All he does is sit behind a counter, answer phone calls, go on deliveries and check how the inventory’s doing. Pretty simple work but it can get boring. But he’s glad he has this boring job, nowhere else would hire him. Well he did have a job at an ice cream place but he got fired in only one day. So this place was his only hope.

Maybe because the place was so dead he could ask his boss if he can get off early. Damian wanted to do something; not sit inside a dead store all day. He leaned his stool back against the wall propping up his back. He pulled his back beanie over his eyes; maybe he’d get a quick nap before his boss came back. It’s not like he had to tend to any customers or answer any phone calls, so he figured why not and slowly proceeded to fall asleep.
