Ew, but squats and weight lifting bulks up muscle.

Swimming tones the body and burns the most calories.
Use a kick board, breastroke helps more with the calves and inner thighs but freestyle and backstroke work as well.

Dolphin kicks give a flat stomach, don't use arms too much cuz you'll get broad shoulders.
