Of course! We don't mind if our guests arrive fashionably late; just post your profile here and join us.

How do I know if I can roleplay?
Everyone is accepted; just post your character's profile, and if there's
something wrong with it, I'll just PM you and tell you to fix it.

Do I have to dress up my avi too?
That's completely optional.

How should I make my grand entrance?
Have the announcer announce you using this code
in the begining of your first post at the ball;

The ball will start at 6 and end when people lose interest and it dies down.

Yes, of course! In fact, all ball alumni will be informed

Does my character have to be of nobility?
Not exactly. They could be a servant at the ball, such as a lady in waiting or butler-
Or they could just be a soldier attending the ball, or even a peasant or thief in disguise.
However, the ball is intended for humans only.

What are some other things I should know?
This ball is open to people of every ethnicity and citizenship (your character can be from any country). It takes place during the French Renaissance, in Paris, and the fashion and etiquette of your character should suit this time period.

What does Lady/Lord/Baron/Baroness/Sir/etc. represent?
In order from highest ranking to lowest;

*King/Queen = Royal monarchs; leaders of the land.
*Prince/Princess = Royalty; heirs to the throne.

Grand Duke/Grand Duchess = provincial sovereigns (rulers of provinces).
Are referred to as "Your Grace" or "Grand Duke/Duchess" when spoken to.

Marquess/Marchioness = Royalty by hereditary rank (related to the Royal family).
Referred to as "My Lord/Lady", "My Lordship/Ladyship", or "Lord/Lady" when spoken to.

Duke/Duchess = Nobility; Royal military commanders and province rulers.
Are referred to as "Your Grace" or "Duke/Duchess" when spoken to.

Count/Countess = Nobility; royal companions; includes ambassadors and delegates of the King.
Referred to as "My Lord/Lady", "My Lordship/Ladyship", or "Lord/Lady" when spoken to.

Baron/Baroness = Nobility; extremely wealthy and influential members of society.
Referred to as "My Lord/Lady", "My Lordship/Ladyship", or "Lord/Lady" when spoken to.

Sir = Soldier/Royal Knight
Referred to as "Sir" when spoken to.

*Your character cannot be a King/Queen or Prince/Princess
since this is technically not a royal ball.

Note: Wives take the title of their husbands (ex, if your woman is married to a Baron, she becomes a Baroness). Sons and daughters of nobility/royalty become simply "The Lady [Full Name Here]" or "The Lord [Full Name Here]". They are referred to as Lord/Lady when spoken to.
