Dramon Shen KiDD
warrior knight class

I didn't know samurai were ordained by imperial hierarchy.

But atleast they got the +2 charisma bonus for knight class.
It's true! I'm not saying they didn't have skilled warriors. But Man, the Japanese really knew how to glorify them, turning them into the mythical badasses they are now.

Also, the Nexts from AC4 were lame compared to the Originals... which was just AC4 lingo for the guys from regular Armored Core.

I thought they were Normals?
One word:

Kyudo.

I think.

That's what the samurai art of the bow was called, right?

Anyways.

Fenix is right.

They did use the bow..

A lot.

'Specially in early times.

...and by 'knew how to pilot it' I mean 'able to dodge between bullets in a spray fire and headshot the other guy in midair with your sword'.

I use to be able to do that in AC2.

C. Fox
OMAE WA MOU SHINDEIRU

"You also dieing"?

Does he have kung-fu grip?

Dunno. Supposed to be ''you are already dead'' in Japanese. Saw it somewhere in Wiki

I think he does.
I wonder if Japanese schools have a history class or just show shitty movies and anime to the student.

Damnit, Fenix! You're dishonoring yourself by quoting historical fact!

AC. Hands down.

They're like six times the size of mobile suits, have far more firepower, and can withstand a hell of a beating (though you'd have to tone that down a little because it's a game and going down after a few clean hits would make the game hard?).

Also, the Nexts from AC4 were lame compared to the Originals... which was just AC4 lingo for the guys from regular Armored Core.

Even if you're talking crazy laser sword fighting... have you ever built a speed-mech in Armored Core and went through the arena blading people? I haven't done it yet in AC4 but in AC1 it was pretty much king of the ring if you knew how to pilot it.

...and by 'knew how to pilot it' I mean 'able to dodge between bullets in a spray fire and headshot the other guy in midair with your sword'.

That's pretty much my thoughts too. Though Gundams were actually larger than ACs. But hell, I'd love to see a battle between the top tier Gundams and the Originals. s**t would get torn up.

I've played tons of AC4, and built many many types of mechs. A beam sword gundam wouldn't be able to touch a blader AC. No way, unless they were in space.

Nah...

See, in AC4 there were the MTs (the lame little things that were your enemies in every game), the Normals (which were basicall your no-name versions of ACs), then the Nexts were the ACs with named pilots, and the Originals were what they called the oldbies of the AC world (read as: Ravens).

Meh..Gundams...
And that is what Levi lacks, Mech battles. You don't have to worry about taking hits and crap because it would be your machine that gets destroyed, and it can always be rebuilt.

Oh, well, I never played past like the 5th mission, anyway.

Traded that s**t in for VF5.
One of these days I will create the accurate samurai and roleplay him on Gaia.

And he'll end up killing himself.
[******** MTs.

Waste of good ammo.

And if there was a swarm, you couldn't sword them all or the boss of the level would ******** you up.

Annoying all around.

@ Vizzle: Yeah, Kyuudo.

AC2 was so slowed down compared to AC1. I was vastly disappointed. It looked nice, it handled pretty well, but everything was so slow compared to what I was used to playing the lightweight speed-frames I used in AC1. Those things could get going about as fast as an AC2 overboost.

@ Fox: "Omae wa mou shindeiru"

Omae (a way to say 'you')
Mou (also)
Shindeiru ('in progress' form of the 'die' verb)

So it would be "you are also dying".

@ Dash: Were they? Maybe in AC4... Gundams in the show were only like 3 stories tall. ACs are regularly shown with feet the size of cars and towering over small buildings. If you get in a city level and stand next to the skyscrapers you can see that they're like 6-8 stories tall for a standing humanoid mech.

And yeah. AC > Gundam. I've built gundam replicas in Armored Core before and matched them up in arena mode. The cinematic fight review was always more hardcore than any episode of Wing I ever saw.
