OOC:
The manual was good. I admit I missed a few parts

There are some things it doesnt cover though.

Always amusing.

Well damn...I feel so lonely.

Designated Hero
Nobody reads the manual. Ever.
I read the manual once a year to see if there are any rule changes.

I check it frequently if I have "questions".

Pro-tip: Not every character is fit for HoH.

Deal with it.

Noire, at any point in your bitchfest did you stop and read this?

read it three and a half times.

the adjectives for power variation in the rules reminded me of that...

reducing my power by 23 orders of magnitude - below magneto and above "cyclops" seemed appropriate. unfortunately, i only have so many orders of magnitude left to deal with, and have only the clue that "2 tons is too much", knowing that boxers produce something in the neighborhood of 7000 newtons (0.72 or so tons)
Why don't you say something along the lines of "At its peak, <blank ability> can be used to move <blank> sized object because of <blank>."

Or destroy roughly <blank>.

Aged Sex Symbol

Okay wtf are you trying to do?

Shoot some kind of blast?

First problem: Why are you trying to define the force output or whatever? Why is that necessary?
Hey you know i wont complain if it is just basically like we take lvl 1 equal characters for this. No complicated powers, maybe one or two passive specials that are not like the OMG LAZOR!!! Just simple class or racial abilities.

Makes me happy, knowing i dont have to deal with the basic OP scenario here just my mad skillz pwnzors your face ^^ AWESOME!!!

Dangerous Codger

Punch
Delivers the approximate magnitude of one (1) fist that is thrust forward towards an opponent. On contact it may cause irritation of the skin and later on, bruising. In well-placed or extreme cases, can also stun or cause internal damage to an opponent.

psychokineticist with base stats... I did list examples of things they could do, but the power scale was too high, im just not certain how high. Since their "max" was roughly the same as having 10 seconds undistracted, their "in combat" abilities were reduced to roughly 2.6 tonnes of PK force maximum, with a range of 1 meter (kicking range). Their PK reduced exponentially with range, so at double the distance, it was quarter the power, and so on. Hit locations also reduced power output proportionately.

But a report

shows values ranging up to 10k newtons, which is the same as 1 ton. On the rules page it gives an example of a guy with badly described strength increase, compared to a guy who triples their strength.

1 ton punch tripled is still 3 tons, and still > 2.6 tons.

OOC:

A championship boxer has produced 3.5 tons with his punch, which equals about 3500 kilograms, which equals 3.85 short tons of force.

Wow, I didn't know that.

Stop trying to make it numbers. Also, to me a name like "Orders of Maginitude" would imply that anything that didn't look outright pathetic on it is probably broken in a player invironment, even if it works in a writer/plot environment. I don't know much about superhero people's, but I know a ton have overpowered or absurdly abusable powers that come off as less broken in their plots because the world is made to suit them so that they can do what they do- and that as heroes they're often supposed to be godly compared to the rest of the world.

As far as "it's not a tournament if not everything is allowed in", doesn't it make more sense that "it's not a tournament if there are no rules"? If you're not complaining about guns not being allowed, I don't see how other powers are an issue. I mean, you can always enter the character you want anyway if his powers can be turned on or off willingly as many on Gaia can, and then just leave off the ones that are broken because "he will not use them here". And there you stay 100% true to character, if he can hold back, and get into the tournament. If you have a guy who can't hold back and follow rules or whatever, tournament is probably not the right place for him.
Man, I should've added a skill to my list called:

1,000,000 Fists. (speaks for itself.)

But then I would've been made fun of :'(
