                                                  Name: Helaku

                                                  Age: Four

                                                  Gender: Male

                                                  Rank: Warrior

                                                  Family: Demoski → adopted brother

Appearance: Medium lengthed pelt, white in color with brown and black markings, gray face with darker mask. Looks like he may be timberwold in lineage.

                                              Under The Surface

Personality: Helaku is first and foremost protective of the pack, the alpha, and the young pup he is raising. He looks for the threat in everything, analysing the situation with a keen eye while ready to take on anything that dares to challenge him. He has been called snippy mostly when one of the apprentices do something that puts them in harm's way. The brute can't be everywhere at once, and expects each member of the pack to value their lives at least half as much as he does. Helaku is also extremely honest, he see's no point in sparing anyone's feelings in order to alter the truth. It would be best not to ask him anything unless you are sure you can handle the full, unsoftened, truth. This brute is a vicious enemy, and a loyal friend.

Biography: Helaku was born into the Cashile pack, as was his family for as far back as any of them could ever remember. His parents were both warriors, and did everything they could to turn him into the perfect copy of themselves. Despite their attempts, the adventerous pup was born as a natural scout, always poking his nose around in things he shouldn't have been getting into and barking at anything that seemed to be out of place. He had always been more observant than even a handful of the packs more experienced scouts. Some say that's how he knew his father was going to die. Somewhere between six and seven months the young pup began sticking close to his father's side. Everywhere you saw the older brute, his son followed, looking almost identical to his father. Helaku was only seven months old when his father passed from some unknown disease. After that, his mother began to build a distance between herself and her son. She said he should make friends, but Helaku knew that his resemblance to his father was too much for the fae's fagile heart to bear.

He started spending a lot of time with one of the other pups, they were the same age, they got along, and she was pretty, not that how pretty she was mattered at their age. Her name was Artemis, and they became close friends. Even when Helaku's mother died, most likely of a broken heart, she was the one he confided in. Luckily by the time both of his parents were gone, he was one and able to fend mostly for himself. As the pair neared the age to become apprentices, Helaku remembers being excited, finally he would be able to become a scout, and after that, every day would be an adventure for him. That's when Artemis's visions started getting severe and he finally pieced together that she would be the Alpha one day. Even though it wasn't her fault, she was almost everything the young wolf had, and he refused to ever let anything happen to her. That's how he became a warrior. He told everyone it was to bring honor to the memory of his parents, and he was good at it, after all, it was in his blood to have a mild sense of brutality.

Helaku finished his training with flying colors, pinning his mentor and ending the test with a low snarl before the two minute mark had even hit. It surprised the older wolf, but it surprised Helaku more. He knew he was ready, he had just never realized how quickly he could react to a situation. He lived out the next nine months being the best warrior he could be, all while making sure Artemis was safe and happy, even with the unfortunate death of her father. He remembers thinking it must have been horrible for her to be the one to have to lead his vigil. Everything in his life seemed normal, it was stable and for once he didn't have to worry about what crazy thing would happen next. And then the craziest thing of all happened.

His eyes were barely open when Helaku found him, and honestly, the brute is still surprised he did step on the pup. It was supposed to be an innocent walk to Polaris Cave, a simple game of "where has Art gone today?" and something made him stop. All paws planted firmly in the ground the brute looked down and saw the brown and black ball at his feet. After nosing at it, pushing the pup around the leaves a bit, he finally realized it was a wolf, not one from his pack, but definetly a wolf. He didn't even hesitate what had to be done. It was out of breeding season, too late in the year to have a new pup, everyone who had been allowed was enjoying their newest additions to the family. Game over. Helaku had scooped the fluff ball into his broad jaws and carried him back to the den site, challenging any wolf that tried to come near him until Artemis came back. It was probably the only time in his life he had ever asked the fae for a favor, and for some unknown reason, she had complied. It was made clear that the pup was his responsibilty, and just like that, Helaku had found himself a little brother. The two haven't been seen seperate since.

Ambition: He would like to make it to at least Beta before his death.

Fact: He's loved Artemis since they were young, he has told no one except Moki.

                                                  Gender: Male

                                                  Rank: Best Little Brother Ever

                                                  Family: Helaku → adopted brother

Appearance: Dark brown with lighter brown markings, big golden eyes and pointy little puppy teeth. A little on the small side for a boy, but gaining weight and growing fast. He can normally be found with some foriegn object in his mouth.

                                              Under The Surface

Personality: Demoski is a rambunctious little pup with a knack for adventure. He is always looking for someone else to play with, someone else willing to give him attention. He is energetic and optimistic seeming like the most care-free wolf in the world. He is also very loving and will get alone well with anyone who is willing to show him attention.

Biography: Moki hasn't been alive long enough to have an extremely long life, but what he has had has been a mix of events. When his ears had barely opened, he could already hear his parents and the way the spoke of himself and his siblings. They wanted to train them to fight, to be rogue wolves and raised killing machines. He can only assume that they wanted this because thats what they were. Things were like that for a few weeks, and he was scared, he didn't want to have to be mean all his life. It was right as his eyes were beginning to open that the fox came. There was a lot of fighting that day, and while his mother was busy with protecting his siblings, the fox swiped him up and ran off. Demoski doesn't know how long it took his mother to realize he was missing, she never found him though. In fact, it was thanks to a silver and black brute startling the fox that he is even still alive.

Most of Demoski's memories are of things he has done with Helaku. Their adventures to the waterfall, playing scout and find, even his first squirrel hunt, which ended up giving him nothing but a thorn in the foot to remember it by. Thorn or not, he laughed it off and tried to be brave, not wanting to seem like a cry baby in front of the brute he had learned to call his brother. It doesn't bother the young pup that he doesn't have parents, at first he was scared, but the pack life seems to have accepted him well and now he has a chance to be something other than a monster. He gets a chance to grow up to be a good wolf and to follow in his big brother's pawprints.

Ambition: To grow up as big and strong as Helaku.

Fact: He likes listening to the stories the older wolves sometimes tell.

                                                  Name: Skyld (ski-old)

                                                  Age: Four years

                                                  Gender: Male

                                                  Rank: Warrior

Family: Skadi (played by Saebel) - sister and secret mate

Appearance: Skyld is no doubt a handsome wolf, and had it not been for his surly demeanour, he would have been the heart's desire of many females. Born with a rich brown pelt with just a hint of an orange hue, his unique coloration makes him stand out among other wolves. His intense golden eyes speak of ferocity and drive, making him look intimidating even when he is not trying to be. Although he is by no means the tallest or the largest wolf in the pack, he is broad shouldered, muscular and powerful. In short, he is not a wolf to be trifled with, although he will halt at one simple command from his sister Skadi.

                                              Under The Surface

Personality: Skyld is impatient, vicious and ambitious. Unlike his twin sister Skadi, Skyld is not so skilled at hiding his true side. One would be correct to assume that she is the brain behind the duo, and he is the brawn. He thinks himself as destined for greatness, and does not do as good a job at hiding it as his sister. To the casual onlooker, Skyld may seem delusional from the way he talked of "a greater purpose". He has a strange relationship with his sister; while they are already mates in secret, ever since he found out about the visions she received from Fina, he has started treating her like a goddess, drinking in her every word and allowing himself to be completely manipulated by her. Since he was a pup he has accepted that it was necessary for them to become mates and he has learned to love her, but now he considers it a great honour to be mated with her and to be able to sire pups with one who was chosen by Fina. He loves, lusts after and worships her at the same time, feelings that he can't always distinguish clearly.

Biography: Initially, Skyld despised his sister Skadi because their mother had passed away during labour, and since she was the second to be born, he blamed her for their mother's passing. However, that initial loathing quickly faded as he romped around the nest with his sister, and the two of them quickly became inseparable. Their puphood was full of innocence, playtimes and was rather uneventful, until they reached a year old and everything changed. After reaching a year old, their father deemed them old enough to learn of their family's history. It turned out that they were the direct descendants of Naamah, and her black blood flows through their veins. He told them that they were brought into this world only to serve Fina, the one and only true god. When the time comes, Fina would choose those worthy to heed his evil bidding. Hearing this, Skyld instantly became excited at the thought of a god deeming him as worthy and picking him to be the chosen few. They were told that if they helped Fina, anything they desired would be theirs. Naive and innocent at the time, Skyld accepted his destiny without a shred of doubt. It was then their father told them that their loyalty to Fina came at a price. Since they possessed the blood of Naamah, they had to keep the bloodline pure. It was thus part of their tradition to mate sister to brother, so they would have pure-blooded pups who would repeat the tradition. Their father said that they were above normal wolves, and the blood of Naamah does not mix with the blood of ordinary wolves who were under them. Skyld saw nothing wrong with that, because everything was done to serve Fina. Mating to him means to spend the rest of his life with one he loved, and he loved his sister so he didn't see anything wrong with having pups with her.

As the two of them grew, each strengthened in their own aspects. Skyld grew strong and powerful, rising to the rank of warrior to protect Cashile and more importantly, his sister Skadi from harm. Skadi chose to remain as a simple packmember, and was content with her rank. When their packmates turned their backs, they offered prayers and blood sacrifices to Fina, asking him for guidance. For years they were relentless in their rituals, and even though their father said that they were not the chosen ones, they persevered. Their diligence turned out to be fruitful, as Skadi proved to be the chosen one in the end. She was shown a strange vision that she described in full detail to Skyld, and although he was not entirely clear about what their roles were to be in this great destiny, he eagerly accepted and drank in her every word. As long as she was there, Fina's chosen one, his path would be made clear to him. It was at that point where his love for his sister intensified to the point where he essentially worshipped her as a goddess, seeing her as the one worthy of Fina. Fina has chosen the two of them, and he must do as Skadi tells him to as well as continue the blood of Naahmah, otherwise Fina may reject him.

Ambition: Most of all, Skyld desires power. He craves destruction, death and chaos, and he wishes to rule over other wolves with an iron paw. Essentially, he has the same desires as Fina, but to do so he would need Skadi at his side. He also wishes to have pups with Skadi to continue the bloodline, as he both loves and worships her at the same time. He believes that having pups with her would please Fina and grant him more power.

Fact: He is slightly fearful of water and will try to look for an excuse not to get his paws and fur wet.

                                                  Name: Fenrus

                                                  Age: 5

                                                  Gender: Male

                                                  Rank: Omega

Family: None (willing to plot, perhaps the brother or best friend from his old pack)

Appearance: Fenrus is a fairly solid, strong, and healthy brute which is unexpected from a wolf of his current omega status. His fur is mostly a creamy-gray blend with brown tipped fur in the area down his back and on the tip of his tail. His eyes are also a dark cream color. He has the various scars that could be expected of any wolf his age that has been in a few tussles and fights (though none too recent due to his only being in the omega position for a short time).

                                              Under The Surface

Personality: To sum him up fairly accurately with one word it would have to be stoic. Fenrus is somewhat like a brick wall in the way he is so tolerant of pain, able to take hit after hit without retaliation or anger (unless in a fight where he is required to fight back). Also kind of like a brick wall, he is known for being very silent and he tends to go about things slowly. He is able to handle situations in a calm and collected manner, preferring to listen more than he does any talking, and when he does speak, it is usually brief. Though described as a “brick wall”, in truth, he is just a big lump. He is very patient and will let pups clamber all over him as if they’re nothing more than harmless little flies.

Biography: Fenrus was a newcomer to the Cashile pack who took up the position of omega after the death of the former fae who held the position. Artemis had noticed while observing him his knack for absorbing aggressive energy within the pack and stepping in to reduce injury to multiple members when any fights broke out, so she felt that he fit the position well. Fenrus accepted the position, though it meant little to him since his behavior would stay practically the same. He also felt the role was important for reducing conflict within a pack, which he felt very strongly about.

Before arriving in the Cashile Valley and joining with the pack, Fenrus had actually been the mateless beta male of another pack of wolves. His brother had been the alpha and the alphaess had been a puphood friend of his. The alphas were an interesting pair to say the least. Both were strong, powerful, and determined creatures, but it was very clear that they each had minds of their own and sometimes disagreed about matters concerning the pack. One moment they could be lovingly licking each other’s muzzles, the next snapping at each other’s throats.

Usually the two were able to come to a consensus with the help of Fenrus and things went along smoothly until their next disagreement. However, one day a decision that hugely affected the pack needed to be made. Their hunting grounds were suffering from a famine. While the alpha male felt they should dig up their deep roots and move on to find food elsewhere and settle, the alpha female thought they should stay and wait things out, not wanting to leave the land her ancestors had thrived in and believing the famine to be a temporary thing. A terrible fight ensued. As much as Fenrus tried to calm the pair he cared so much for, nothing got through to them and they ended up splitting the pack.

When faced with the decision to leave with his brother or stay by the side of his best friend, Fenrus chose to go on his own. He felt neither half of the pack would truly thrive, and he couldn’t bear to choose between the two wolves who meant the most to him. Part of him also felt he had failed the whole pack by being unable to keep the peace. Troubled by this, he went on his own for almost a year until he found that the lone wolf life was not for him. Feeling unable to return to his previous pack, Fenrus wandered until he came across the Cashile Valley where he was tentatively welcomed. Understandable since he had arrived only days after much tragedy and chaos had occurred within the valley.

Ambition: Fenrus simply wants to keep this new pack together and do all he can to keep the wolves united and focused on their true enemies. He wouldn’t be against finding a mate, though he doesn’t really pursue the task much. If it happens, it happens.

Fact: Though not very talkative, Fenrus has a tendency to sigh a lot. Perhaps it is because he often dwells on his decision to abandon his old pack and feels the sense of a burden on his shoulders, or perhaps it is simply because he is a bit of a languid brute.

Family: Has a brother, but his whereabouts are unknown. Had a sister, but she is presumed dead. (If anyone wishes to play his siblings, let me know.)

Appearance: Liam's pelt is predominately white, with silver, grey, and black ticking on his shoulders and back. His yellow eyes are so light in color, they often look white. He is a stocky and tall wolf, strong and capable but not at all built for speed or agility. His most distinguishing feature is the large crescent scar above his right eye. That scar, coupled with the many small scars dotting his body and his two-toed left forepaw are reminders of his violent past.

                                              Under The Surface

Personality: Liam is a very hearty brute with a vigorous zest for life. One could describe him as being abrasively kind, as he has a sort of "tough love" approach to most of his relationships. Although he isn't necessarily "close" to anyone, he has a great love for his comrades. Because he almost always has a humorous way of looking at things, he can be seen as quite the jokester, and most of his jests are immature. This silly attitude of his makes him a favorite among pups. Despite having a past as a proud warrior, Liam preaches about being peaceful and is only violent if he absolutely has to be. At times, Liam can get very pessimistic, especially when he is talking about war. He can be harsh and merciless on certain serious topics, as he believes that sugar-coating just doesn't get a point across. Not one to dwell on the past, Liam is a rather forgiving brute, even to wolves who really don't deserve his pardon.

Biography: Liam was born to a litter of three, in a harsh pack very far away immersed in a bloody war. He had a sister and a brother, although his sister, was presumably carried off by some beast when she tried to leave the den while everyone was sleeping. His brother and him grew up together, and even though Liam saw his brother as a friend, he saw Liam as a rival. Liam excelled at everything he did, and because of that, his brother was eternally jealous.

Liam's father was a great warrior in the war, the leader of all the warriors, and his mother was the second-in-command. From day one, Liam and his brother were groomed to become great fighters just like their parents. They didn't have the pleasant puphood that most young wolves did, they were instead were treated like soldiers from their birth day. Liam didn't seem to mind the treatment, but it was only because he didn't know any better. His pack was so obsessed with war, that it was the normal way that all pups were treated.

One day, Liam's father died in a gruesome battle. His death shook the whole family, heavily depressing his mother to the point of where she didn't eat. She eventually died from starvation, right in their own den. After that, Liam enlisted as a warrior in his clan to avenge his father and make proud his mother's spirit. He was a mere yearling, barely a wolf. Not one to be outstaged by Liam, his brother also became a warrior. Desperate for new recruits, both brothers were inducted into the army despite their age. Liam turned out to be a great fighter and tactician, and it looked like he was going to take his father's place as leader of the warriors. His brother bitterly watched from his shadow as Liam became more and more famous.

During his time as a warrior, Liam had fallen in love with a fae. Her name was Lil, and she had fur as white as snow, and had eyes like the sky. She was a warrior too, fighting for her parent's death just like Liam was fighting for his. But even though she was a fighter, she was also the gentlest fae. He courted her and they eventually became mates. They were even planning to have pups and had gotten the alpha's permission to do so. The couple was happy and in love. Liam's brother, however, was once again jealous of what Liam had. He too loved Lil, but she didn't love him. He had tried to appeal to her, but Liam always was there to draw her eyes away.

That jealousy eventually drove his brother to betray the clan. Liam's brother went to the enemy, swore fealty to them, and helped them by giving them valuable information. By some twisted logic, he thought that if the other pack won the war that Lil would leave Liam for him. In secret, he told Lil of this plan, expecting her to want him instead of Liam. But she didn't want anything to do with him and quickly ran away, telling the pack of his betrayal and branding him a outcast.

In the next ensuing battle, Liam witnessed Lil die before his eyes. Liam's brother killed her himself, figuring that if he couldn't have her, no one could. It was horrifying, and Liam fainted soon after from the shock of it all. While Liam was out, his brother tore into his body and gave him the scars that cross his whole body, including the scar above his eye. Liam was oddly left alive.

Liam was left there in the bitter cold, collapsed near his fallen mate. His clan thought that he had died too, and left him be to be with Lil. He awoke after a day or so, cold and frostbitten in a few places from laying there for so long. A few of his toes never defrosted all the way, and they had to be bitten off. That night, after burying his mate, he left the pack in shame, anger, and depression. He traveled nowhere in particular, aiming to walk himself into exhaustion in an attempt at suicide. Liam had figured that his legs would eventually give out, and he would collapse and starve to death. He did meet his limit at some point, and probably would have died if he had not fallen in Cashile's territory. A kind scout found him, dehydrated and malnourished, and brought him to Cashile, where he was nursed back to health. Feeling that he needed to repay Cashile for "wasting good herbs on him", Liam joined as a sentry, feeling that he could no longer fight, physically and mentally, as well as a warrior could. At first, he said that staying in Cashile was only a temporary thing until his debt was repayed. But, he found himself endeared by Cashile's peaceful valley and kind wolves. It was so much better than his violence-obsessed old pack. Being surrounded by such a nice pack has brought him from his previously depressed and angry attitude to a much happier state. Now, he has no plans of ever leaving.

Ambition: Caring for and guiding young wolves is something that makes him feel fulfilled. Because of this, he dearly wants to become a father, however, he has little desire in having a mate...

Fact: White female wolves, especially those with blue eyes, make him very uncomfortable because they remind him of his past mate.

                                              Under The Surface

Personality: When approached with new places or other wolves he doesn't know he acts timid crouching down and sometimes taking steps backwards to avoid whatever appeared to be making him nervous. He is energetic around those he knows well and wants to play often with them even if they don't always want to. He is fearful towards fire, loud noises, and thunderstorms. Whenever he is faced with those he will try to run away or hide to get away from it. He tries to be as carefree as possible to keep himself in good spirits. At times he can be reckless and wander off to discover new things around the territory, however he will not travel beyond the designated boundaries alone. He is protective towards those who treat him nicely and wary of those who are constantly mean or rude to him.

                                                  Biography:
Caius was born into a small pack of wolves that lived near a lake. In the winter months the lake would freeze and food would become scarce. The pack would hunt for a whole day just to bring in enough food to last until tomorrow, but during the spring and summer the pack would hunt fish from the shallow waters and small animals like rabbits and squirrels. Caius was was one of only three wolf pups born to the pack that year. Due to the harsh winters the females of the pack only had one or two pups per year and sometimes none at all. After giving birth to Caius his mother Sena passed away turning that day into a bitter sweet moment as the pack welcomed a new member while bidding farewell of one of their own. Caius' father Marhel would hunt with the three strongest males of the pack everyday to bring food back while Caius and the other pups stayed with the females in the den. Caius knew the area didn't have any big game to hunt, so all of his meals were small and left him a little unsatisfied. He asked his father why they didn't move to another place with better food and for a long moment Marhel just looked at his son before answering "This is our territory and our home. Sena's spirit watches over us and will keep us safe. We can not abandon this land." After that Caius didn't bring it up again nor did he complain about what food was given to him.

Caius was happy when he finally turned old enough to leave the den and hunt with his father. He was taught how to fish and corner a rabbit before it reached it's hole. He hated the squirrels the most because right when he though he had them they would climb the trees where he couldn't reach. To make matters worse they would stare down at him from the branches as if mocking him. Every time he failed to bring back his pray the older males would scoff at him and his father would just give him a disappointed glance. Caius wanted to do better, provide for the pack, and make his family proud of him. It wasn't so simply done for him though. Maybe loosing his mother was holding him back, but even that sounded like an excuse. He wouldn't make excuses and instead admitted when he failed. With that failure hanging over his head he returned to the den with his ears folded back and his head held low unable to look at anyone as he moved to the very back to be alone. The next morning Caius woke in a panic. The other members of his pack were gone and a heavy storm was raging outside. Why did the others leave the den? He didn't understand and quickly rushed outside. He found one of his pack members who explained Marhel had gone into the forest claiming to see the spirit of Sena. He said she would guide them to paradise and all their worrying and suffering would end, but after searching over two hours he had not returned and neither had the search party. Caius wanted to go in and look for his father too, but the storm suddenly took a turn for the worse and lightning strikes could be seen in the distance.

Caius was afraid and didn't know what to do. He wanted everyone to come back so they could all wait out the storm in the den where it was safe, but as he stood there looking into the forest he felt so alone. His father had always been there for him, and now that he wasn't with Caius it made him even more scared. Caius heard the thunder boom before he saw the lightning hit a tree nearby the den. His pack member that stayed behind to look out for him grabbed Caius by the scruff of his neck and swung him towards the shoreline of the lake. "Go Caius. Run as far as you can. We will find each other again in the morning." The flames quickly spread pushing Caius further away from his home and his family until his hind paws felt the cold night time waters of the lake. Caius ran along the shallow waters of the shoreline until the orange glow of the fire was far away then he sat in place and howled. It was a sad lonely howl he hoped his family would hear and come find him. In the morning he returned to find many of the trees scorched black and the den empty. Marhel believed Sena's Spirit would guide them to a better place through the forest, so Caius began to run through the ashed remains of his home. Each step burned his paws a little until finally he reached a field that the fire did not reach. It was there he collapsed exhausted. When he woke he though he had passed on and would find his family in the world beyond, but instead another wolf had been taking care of him. Caius' paws still hurt so he slowly started to lick them with the little energy he had. The wolf that found him would later become his mentor and lead him to a new pack and a new chance at life.

Ambition: After becoming separated from his original pack his only wish now is to find a new family to love and protect him while he will do the same for them.

Fact: He loves food of all kinds and will try anything once. If he likes it he will most likely eat it again, but if he doesn't he will stick his nose up at it or simply walk away from it when he encounters it again. The spirit of his mother Sena sometimes appears to Caius when he is sleeping or feels insecure. When Khalid found him shortly after Caius lost his pack Khalid promised Sena he would look after Caius, so her spirit feels a little more at ease watching them. Once she feels Caius will be safe and happy with his new pack she will pass on to heaven where her husband and the other pack members are waiting for her.

                                                  Age: 4 years

                                                  Gender: Male

                                                  Rank: Scout

Family: His mate and pups were killed long ago, as far as current family members, he has none currently known about, but he takes care of Caius, his apprentice, and thinks of him as close to family as he will ever get.

Appearance: Khalid's eyes are a sapphire blue, those eyes hide his emotions rather well, not letting his feelings bubble to the surface at any point unless with his apprentice Caius to whom he would show some of his emotions, but even to him he is rather rough and gruff with most of the time. His fur is a deep midnight black with white around the bottom of his muzzle, running down the fronts of his front legs, and a single lightning bolt shaped white patch in the center of his chest.

                                              Under The Surface

Personality: Khalid can seem rather cool and gruff at first, he is quiet and keeps to himself most of the time, but does care for his apprentice Caius and his pack. he tries to teach him as best he can so that Caius will be able to grow up and live happily and healthily with the Cashile wolves. He is respectful of Artemis and cares for her and about her more than he does for most of the other wolves in the pack, though he would never let it show. He keeps at a distance and honestly cares more about the pack than he would like to admit. He tends to hide his emotions thinking that it is better to seem cold and push others away from him than to get close to others again and to be hurt again.

Biography: Khalid once belonged to another pack of wolves a long distance from Cashile valley. he was a good wolf there, honorable and strong despite his young age at the time, and had met the love of his life there. Valle was a beautiful young fae, her fur a light grey with a reddish tint to it that seemed to set her apart from the others somehow. They were both young, only just under two years old, but they were in love. She was his world, and he thought that having her in his life, nothing could make him happier... until their pups were born. All of a sudden he was a scout for the pack, a mate to Valle, and a father to two beautiful little pups. He couldn't be happier. It seemed however, as though all good things really must come to an end. One day when he was coming back to the den from scouting the territory, he knew something was wrong. As he neared the den site all he could smell was blood, freshly spilt, and a lot of it. A few of his pack mates lay in the den, dead, along with his beautiful mate, and his two pups. The surviving members of his pack had moved to a different den site, having left the others there, and his family had been killed by two rogue males that had come through the territory.

Devastated by the loss of his family, Khalid ran off. He didn’t know where he was going or why he was going there, all he knew was that he wanted and needed to be far away from where his mate and pups were killed. He ran all the way to Cashile Valley where he met Artemis. Both at the young age of two years old, they got along alright, and she helped him get past it. He grew to respect the soon to be alphaess, and he decided to once again become a scout. If anything were to try and hurt the wolves in this pack, he would know it and he would stop them. He wanted to be able to help his new pack, especially after he came to the pack as a lone wolf and was accepted into it. He is grateful for that, however, even though he likes the new pack he has a hard time with his emotions. The hardest of all being that he can’t always feel as if his new pack is his family. His family was killed, and no one could ever take their place.

It was two and a half years ago that all of that happened, and a few months ago he was scouting at the edge of the Cashile Territory and an odd looking wolf appeared to him. This strange fae had no scent, and left no pawprints in the soil where she moved. He followed this intruding fae to where a young pup was lying in the tall grass. He could smell the burnt fur on the pups paws even before he got to his side. The ghostly fae spoke to him then, telling him that the pup was her son, and that he needed help, and asking him to watch over him. rest now, and be at peace. I will look after your pup. He is safe with me. he had responded to her. He didn’t know what had posessed him to agree to looking after the younger brute, but he wasn’t going to just let him lay there and die. He picked up the pup by the scruff of the neck and brought him to a den that had long since been abandoned just on the outskirts of the pack’s territory. Knowing the character of some of the members of his pack, he dare not bring him directly to the others for that could cause harsh treatment of the pup, or even cause him to be killed. He did not want that, and felt rather protective of him, so instead he simply took him to that lone den, far enough away from the others that they wouldn’t bother them, yet close enough to still be on Cashile territory and close enough to be able to come whenever called, and still do his scouting duties.

From that day on Khalid has been teaching and taking care of Caius, working hard to get the pup used to other wolves again and integrated into the pack so that he can soon be accepted in. Khalid had brought Artemis to where Caius was being hidden in that same den, and he had explained everything that happened to her. She agreed to allow Khalid to go off every so often and care for the growing pup until the day came that he could be brought together with the rest of the pack.

Ambition: his current goals are mostly just to integrate Caius into the pack without anyone getting hurt from it, and to teach him what he needs to learn in order to succeed

Fact: Khalid, despite his attitude and appearance, and the way that he goes about things, He honestly cares about the whole pack, and even more so, has a secret admiration for Artemis, but keeps his little crush to himself in fear of rejection as well as thinking it is not his place to feel that way for their alpha female, and afraid to let his feelings be known because he doesn't want to lose someone else who is important to him like he lost his mate and his pups.

                                                  Name: Fiametta (Fia)

                                                  Age: 4 months

                                                  Gender: Female

                                                  Rank: Pup

Family: Mother, Father, and Sibling (willing to plot!)

Appearance: The most striking thing about Fiametta’s appearance is her fiery russet coat followed closely by her bright, blue-gray eyes. Her coat has some patches and undertones of black mingled in with it, most noticeable around her eyes and face and on the tip of her tail and her paws. She is by no means small for her age or her gender, actually being quite big for a fae pup her age.

                                              Under The Surface

Personality: As her name (which means ‘little fiery one’) indicates, Fiametta is a fiery and impetuous pup. She is always up for a challenge and eager to roughhouse with other pups and even the older wolves when they’ll humor her with a little fight. Most will be surprised to find that they get more than they bargained for with this feisty ball of fur. Though she might not win the fight, she won’t let you get away unscathed. True to her fiery nature, she can be very passionate and adamant about what she wants to do and when she wants to do it. Fia won’t settle for being treated like a pup, but her somewhat immature nature often lands her in trouble. Though rough around the edges, if taught properly, she could grow to become a strong and beautiful warrior and perhaps a leader some day in the future.

Biography: Fiametta was born to an unusually small litter of only two. Her parents were none the less delighted with their newborn pups and even a bit grateful for the low number of mouths to feed and watch over. In the first few weeks of their lives away from the rest of the pack, Fiametta’s parents lovingly cared for the quickly growing duo. When they were old enough to leave the birthing den, the pups were escorted around by their parents and taught the various things young pups needed to learn about the forest, other animals, manners, the pack they were part of, other little life lessons... In time, they were old enough to be taken back to the main den, and their parents were as excited to introduce Fiametta and her sibling to the pack as Fia was to meet all the other wolves and any other pups that might be there to play with.

As soon as she knew how, Fiametta started play fighting with her sibling and other pups as well as annoying her parents and the older wolves with her needle-like teeth, pouncing on tails and nipping on ears. It didn’t take very long for her parents to see that their big, little girl was leaning toward becoming a warrior sometime in the future. Her tendencies to want to lead her sibling around and insistence on making little decisions made them think she even wanted to be a leader. Well, if she ever learned some more patience and how to be a bit more graceful and providing the pack would ever need a new leader when Fiametta was old enough.

It was only about a month ago when Fiametta and her sibling had been playing in the clearing around the den. It was when the older wolves that usually watched over the pups were preoccupied that Fia chased her sibling out into the forest. Her sibling wasn’t too keen on the idea of being out in the forest where they weren’t supposed to go, but Fiametta just wrestled her sibling to the ground, insisting that they weren’t even that far away (when in reality they were somewhat far) and nothing would happen. Unbeknownst to the pair, there was a very hungry rogue wolf nearby, eyeing up the two little morsels. It sprung upon them, knocking them down and pressing them to the earth. After some initial shock, Fia instantly turned aggressive, snapping and tearing at the wolf’s paws and making quite the ruckus for a pup. Not wanting to fuss with such troublesome prey, the wolf snatched up Fia’s less feisty sibling and took off.

Angry and afraid, Fia started running back toward the den, only to be met by her parents. Her mother took off after the sound of her other pup yelping in the jaws of the wolf, but her father paused to ask Fia what had happened and carry her back to the den to the safety of the pack. Shortly after the little duo had wandered off, their babysitters noticed their absence and alerted their parents. By then, the wolf had sprung on Fia and they heard her puppy snarls out in the forest which had led them to her. After hearing what Fia had to say and leaving her in the capable paws of the other wolves, he too took off after his mate, assuring the other wolves that they would return after retrieving their pup and putting down the intruder wolf..

Days passed and there was no sign of any of the missing wolves. A small search party went out, but there were very few signs of Fia’s parents. They assumed that the pair had chased the rogue wolf out of the valley since there was no trace of them nearby. What happened after that, no one knows for sure. Quietly, many believe the pair was somehow killed or that they simply lost the trail of the rogue wolf but didn’t want to give up on finding their other pup. Fiametta stays strong in the absence of her parents, fervently believing that they’ll come back along with her sibling. She feels a lot of responsibility for what happened and because of that feels she must become even stronger to protect herself and others (rather than coming to the realization that she should have just followed the rules).

Ambition: Fia wants to learn everything there is to know about being a good warrior and leader and wants to get the recognition of the older, more skilled wolves in the pack.

Fact: Though seen as the tough girl, Fia somewhat wants others to see her as a pretty fae as well and can become a little self-conscious when she gets too rough or overpowers any males.

                                                  Name: Aizel

                                                  Age: Five years

                                                  Gender: Male

                                                  Rank: Warrior

                                                  Family: None

Appearance: Aizel is a large muscular brute with a rugged pelt over his body, but with short fur covering his strong legs. Bright eyes are a tawny yellow color which often betray his superiority complex. Aizel's pelt is a fabulous mixture of browns, burnt orange and black with a creamy colored underbelly. He most often displays a cocky and overconfident demeanor.

                                              Under The Surface

Personality: Aizel is an extremely overconfident brute to the point that he has a superiority complex. It is pretty much impossible to change his personal perspective and Aizel will shrug off any and all attempts to do so. In most circumstances he prefers to fight creatively using words such as wit, sarcasm and other insults, but he is also known to pull pranks or even just ignore them. In the event that a dispute turns to a fight Aizel will almost never make the first move, but he will defend himself and attempt to humiliate the one who challenged him. Should Aizel actually lose a fight he will still claim victory through words or other means if they are available. Around females Aizel is both charming and assertive, he will tell them what they want to hear but is also not afraid to make presumptuous comments about their desire for him. Aizel is quite the womanizing brute in the sense that he chases female affection, but then has no intention to return it fully. He prefers to chase strong females that do not immediately want him or/and are being courted by other brutes, because he likes the challenge. Aizel actually seems to enjoy getting turned down, and will turn their hate of him around. The amount of attention Aizel gives a female depends entirely on the challenge they present, but he is generally not interested in females who are mated, easy or interested in him.

Judging from the combination of his superiority complex and his womanizing complex, Aizel comes across to most as a complete asshat, but it would seem that he could not care a less what others think about him. Although it is not known to anyone but himself, and even then he would probably deny it, this 'complex' behavior is a product of his own personal heart break in the past. His less dominant traits, which are his redeeming traits, are often overlooked by others. Aizel does have some normality to him, when it comes to his job as a warrior Aizel can be serious, although it is possible for that to be mistaken as more overconfidence and showing off. Despite common belief Aizel is actually very intelligent and even sometimes quite insightful, but this is often mistaken as him just trying to be charming, or insulting. He is quite easy going but this is lost by his superior demeanor. Above all he is loyal to his pack because he already learned that the consequences of disloyalty to not agree with him.

Biography: Aizel was born outside the valley into a wolf pack that was rather similar in some regards to Cashile. As the youngest son of the Alphas it was not Aizel who would one day take their place as Alpha, but actually his brother Zeval who was two years older. Aizel was not jealous of his brother, in fact in those days he was still capable of showing he was happy for others, and he was happy for Zeval. Aizel was free to pursue training as a warrior, and brag to the females about being the brother of the future Alpha. Even back then Aizel was a flirt, but certainly not the womanizer he is today. It was stupid really but Aizel developed a crush on a female who was two years older than him, and had been one of his trainers. Her name was Ciana and she was beautiful in every way to Aizel, but he knew deep down she was out of his league. It didn't stop him from trying though, but his final hopes were dashed when it turned out Ciana and Zeval had started to court one another. In less than a year they were mated and shortly after that the Alphas stepped down so Zeval and Ciana took their places. Aizel had decided months before the joyous event to be happy for his brother and get over it, because really he had never expected Ciana to want him at all. But then something strange happened, she started to take interest in Aizel. At first Aizel thought nothing of it, she was technically his family now and she just seemed to be taking an interest in the final stages of his training as a warrior. But then she started helping him, taking him where they could be alone to 'focus', but other things started to happen.

Ciana began with innocent flirting, however within a couple of weeks her intentions seemed very clear to Aizel, and his puppy crush resurfaced. When Aizel passed his test to become a fully fledged warrior at age three, Ciana began to hint that maybe she had chosen the wrong brother, or at least it seemed that way. By this point Aizel was head over heels for Ciana, and so he did something really stupid. He confessed his love for her, and asked that she do the same and then they would confront Zeval together to explain. Somewhere in his slightly naive mind at the time, Aizel assumed there would be some way to make his brother understand, and he would forgive them. However Ciana was reluctant, even a little angry at Aizel that he didn't realise what a stupid idea that would be for them both. So she left him to fret over the solution, he really believed there had to be one, he was blindly in love with his brother's mate. It took him a week to decide on his plan, but then Aizel arranged to meet Ciana and told her that he knew how they could be together without being chased from the pack, and without them losing friends and family. Aizel had decided he would challenge his own brother Zeval for Alpha, and then he and Ciana could be together. But unfortunately what Aizel did not know was that Ciana had been leading him on this whole time, her interest in him was just a pass time, a bit of meaningless fun which had irritatingly grown far too attached. He also didn't know since their last meeting Ciana had told Zeval that Aizel had confessed his love and wanted to betray his brother. Lastly he did not know that Zeval knew about this meeting and had been watching the entire conversation from a concealed vantage point. So Zeval heard every last detail of his stupid plan to overthrow his brother, and it was enough proof for Zeval to outcast his own flesh and blood. Aizel quickly understood how he had been betrayed, Ciana made sure he knew it was her who'd told Zeval. She laughed in his face for being so stupid, and then smiled as Zeval outcasted him. She had never loved him, and now she had taken satisfaction in breaking him. Aizel didn't bother to fight back against Zeval or try to stay, he turned tail and ran from it all.

Just a few months later Aizel strutted his way into Cashile Valley looking to find a new pack to join. At some point during his travels Aizel had buried the pain caused by Ciana and had begun to mirror the hardened personality she showed him on the day he was outcasted. He instantly told all who asked that he had left his old pack through his own choice, usually adding on that he needed new tail to chase or the females just weren't good enough for him. It was almost like Aizel had flipped a switch on his personality, but it was a very convincing switch and especially to wolves who didn't know him or the truth. Eventually he was accepted within Cashile and so was his story. No one guessed at the heartbreak or the damage it had caused. Life went on, becoming consumed by his warrior duties and his growing interest in Artemis - especially after she became the alpha female. However about a month ago a young apprentice warrior named Flint requested that he wanted Aizel to mentor him, because both he, and Aizel, agreed that the brute was the best warrior in the pack. At first Aizel was not too keen on the idea, but it didn't take him long to consider the perks, mainly impressing Artemis and he was sold. Aizel became Flint's mentor and then spent the better part of two weeks instructing the poor youngster to do seemingly pointless tasks, like collect sticks and raid beehives. Of course Aizel could argue that his tasks were both character and skill building, but Aizel doesn't care what others think so he wouldn't argue that at all, and there is also the fact that winding up the apprentice is amusing, especially because Flint was being a pansy and not standing up for himself. Except his method of teaching by humiliation did eventually cause a problem just over a week ago.

Artemis was instructing scouts in their training, they were supposed to be hunting rabbits. Aizel signed up Flint to learn something, while the mentor then conveniently spent the time charming the alpha female. But out of both frustration and stupidity Flint ignored his rabbit trail and tried to bring back an Elk calf to impress his mentor and the alpha female. Except all he ended up doing was seriously pissing off an Elk bull, which gave chase. Aizel was alerted to the problem by the cries from his apprentice, and sprang into action, something that might have been surprising for a brute which claimed not to care. Especially after appearing to risk Flint's life a few times with his dumb tasks. But Aizel did not hesitate to throw himself at the male Elk, and lead it away into the forest, hoping the Elk would become stuck in the trees. But it reached the river as easily as Aizel did, and cornered the brute on the edge of Khaalida Falls. Aizel still hoped to dodge the Elk when it charged but the combined weight of the Elk and the wolf broke the unstable edge, and both went into the water. He remembers seeing Artemis and Flint running along side the river as his head bobbed in and out of the water, and then nothing but his eerie howl as he disappeared over the falls.

Aizel woke up a few days later in the company of wolves he did not recognize, but they were kind enough to help him. However he wasn't interested in staying with them long, neither did it seem was the unfamiliar brute, whose daughter seemed far too interested in Aizel for both his and Aizel's taste. Hence the displaced Cashile warrior began the long trek back along the river to his home....

Ambition: Aizel is determined to court all the ladies, as part of his civic duty to them. However he does desire a greater challenge for his charming ways, so has set his eyes on impressing the strongest female in the pack, Alpha Artemis.

Fact: Aizel likes to chew sticks when he is bored and he seems to do it when he is pretending to be stressed out.

                                                  Gender: Male

                                                  Rank: Warrior Apprentice

Family: Cloud - Brother (though neither know that, yet)

Appearance: Flint's pelt is creamy with black and gold ticking in various places around his forehead, back, shoulders, and flank. Very feminine black eyelashes enhance his amber colored eyes. His stature is stocky and square shaped, which makes him sturdy but offers him little in terms of speed.

                                              Under The Surface

Personality: Flint is first and foremost an obedient wolf, never one to speak out of turn or disrespect anyone. He holds all other wolves in high regard and treats everyone with great dignity. Despite being a charming young brute, he lacks good self esteem and doesn't think very highly of himself. Flint is so unconfident, that he is spineless and can't tell others no, can't voice his own opinion, can't handle pressure, and can't stand up for himself. His morals on respect also make him feel afraid of offending others. He is just very non-confrontational, and tends to be quiet and passive when drama arises. Around those who treat him well, Flint is mild-mannered, but he can be highly temperamental if someone pushes the wrong buttons. Under the influence of flaring emotions, Flint makes brash decisions that can be very extreme.

Biography: Flint was born to the strict alphas of a pack very far away from Cashile. Growing up with a tight leash made Flint the obedient rump licker that he is today; whenever Flint would get in trouble he would be quickly whipped into shape. He became very good at apologizing and groveling before others. At first, his parents thought of this to be a good quality, thinking that it was better than having a disobedient son. But when it became apparent that Flint couldn't ever speak up about anything, he became known as the useless pup of the litter. His parents started to dote their attention on their other offspring, and Flint was eventually forgotten and neglected. It was never said, but everyone in the pack seemed to know that Flint was pretty much disowned by his parents.

Flint tried to find refuge in a different parental figure, but everyone in the pack eventually got annoyed at his spineless nature. At a year old, Flint was getting so hopeless and angry at the lack of attention, that he brashly ran away from the pack, deciding that he would be much better without them.

Out there in the wilderness, with little hunting skills, Flint almost starved to death. If he didn't meet another kind lone wolf, he probably would have died. A tough, but sweet fae had taken it upon herself to feed Flint, but it was only a temporary thing. She could not baby him forever, having her own agenda to take care of, so she pointed him in the direction of Cashile, a pack that she had heard was a great one. Flint made the journey to Cashile and, despite the fact that he had little to contribute to the pack, he was accepted.

Once Flint became two, he decided that he wanted to become a warrior, and requested that Aizel, a brute whom he saw as strong and smart, be his mentor. Artemis allowed this to happen, and Flint was delighted that he got the mentor of his dreams... for about ten minutes. Flint quickly came to realize that Aizel was probably the worst mentor a wolf could ever have. All Aizel ever did was send Flint on pointless, and sometimes dangerous, errands. Never once did they spar, or have a lecture about fighting, or do anything that was productive towards Flint becoming a warrior.

Eventually, Flint got so fed up with being humiliated by Aizel, that he rebelled against his mentor. One day, Artemis was out instructing the scouts to hunt rabbits. For a reason Flint could never figure out, Aizel dragged Flint along to help out. He, at first, was a good little wolf and followed his rabbit trail, but once he caught the scent of an elk calf, he veered off his path and went for that. Flint's logic was, if he brought back this huge calf, he would surely impress Aizel and show him that he was not meant for the menial tasks that Aizel always gave him. But before Flint could even land a single hit on the calf, an elk bull came to its rescue and drove off Flint. The bull chased Flint and probably would have killed him, if it weren't for Aizel leaping into action. Aizel led the bull away, but it costs him. The elk cornered Aizel on a cliff near Khaalida Falls, and the combined weight of the two caused the cliffside to collapse and take them both down the river. Aizel was presumed dead when he went over the waterfall. Flint has since then blamed himself for the incident, and harbors a deep guilt.

Ambition: Flint has the simple goal of becoming a warrior.

Fact: Has an unhealthy crush on Lumiere. Best friends with Rewan.

                                              Under The Surface

Personality: Unlike Skyld and Skadi Reek is not very good at hiding his oddness from the pack. Reek can often be heard muttering to himself while pacing around and often talks nonsense with other wolves. He has a very obvious nervous twitch that happens frequently throughout the day. Sometimes it is nothing more than a twitch of his blind eye and sometimes it is a full body convulsion that will knock him off his paws, this is likely due to a head injury at a young age. Reek is nervous and timid by nature and although he delights in the thought of death and torture he remains about as submissive as an Omega. He does not seem to be good at much and tends to get in the way of any activity he attempts to join to keep up appearances.

Reek is oddly obsessed with the pack's pups. Often sitting and staring at them almost unblinkingly for hours. He has an eerie fascination with them and truly believes when he devours a pup he sends the sustenance straight to Fina... Which in turn saves the pups souls. So, in Reek's mind, he is actually doing the pups a kindness by murdering them. However it is not often Reek gets to indulge in this perversion.

Most of the pack is seems weary of Reek, some may even be creeped out by him. But it seems the general majority of Cashile wolves believe Reek is a completely harmless nutjob. He was in fact only let into the pack due to the fact Artemis pitied him and thought he was harmless as well. He does a good job at playing to this and even gathering sympathy from members of the pack.

Biography: Unknown to most Reek is a descendant of wolves whom followed the evil deity known as 'Fina.' This order has always kept this a very personal secret and as such Reek does not speak of it. As a pup Reek grew up in entire pack devoted to Fina. He witnessed many things that have in turn shaped him into the wolf he is today such as sacrificial rituals.
Although his birth pack is long gone, and he is believed to be the only known survivor, Reek carries on believing that Fina will someday come to claim the lives of the Cashile heretics.
Reek did not find Cashile by coincidence, or at least that is what he tells himself. He believes Fina guided him to Cashile for one reason, to be with Skyld and Skadi. Reek is one of the only wolves that knows about the siblings secret relationship and as a follower of Fina he believes their incestual mateship is amazing and is in fact jealous he does not have a sister of his own.

For his entire life Reek has always been a bottom feeder when it comes to the cult. His parents were lowly born as well and ended up dying from starvation and disease when he was very young, leaving him to basically be a servant to do his masters biddings.
His name was given to him by his birth packs Alpha to always remind him of where he stood in the grand scheme of things.

Reek is 100% subservient to both Skyld and Skadi and tends to think of them as an authoritative figure, sometimes referring to them as Alpha when in private. He seems to admire Skadi for her apparent connection with Fina. And fears and respects Skyld as his superior.
Despite his low standing in the pack, and with Fina, Reek does his duties and does them well. Reek claims to hear messages in his head from Fina, instructing him on what to do. Usually these instructions involve demanding sacrifices and in Reek's case it always seems to involve pups. It is very possible the voices in his head are nothing more than figments of his deranged imagination, though.

In the end his goals are similar to Skadi and Skyld's and he awaits the day Fina comes to reward them for their devotion. He truly believes his life will be better then.

Ambition: Reek wishes to witness the destruction of Cashile as well as the great return of Fina. He also hopes for some sort of better life for himself once Fina does return.

Fact:Reek lost the vision in his eye when a pup managed to run it's claw across the surface of his eye while Reek was attempting to eat him. Reek believes eating pups gives him a direct connection to Fina and saves the pups soul.
