Welcome to Gaia! ::

YAYPROFILE!
-happyjigdance-
At this rate they'll all get in for the deadline!
Unfortunately.
We have no white applicants yet. xDDD

I'm reading your profile now, Jaja. :3

GRACIE. What choo talkin' 'bout?
You're good at soooo much. o.o
&& You should definitely open your own roleplays!
They'd be on crack, probably, but FUNFUNFUN.
If you want, we can work on one together for your first one. 8D

Iknooooow, right?
Isn't it fantastic.
I like how it started moving this fast AFTER I said there was a deadline. xDD
Pretty crazy.

How are you today, Koko?

I'm horrid. I tried to open a roleplay on another site that I go on and it only backfired in my face. A girl sent me a butchered profile and I kindly replied telling her that she was free to send me a another profile, and that these were the few things that she did wrong. She sent me a message this morning telling me that profiles don't matter etc. I only told her to follow the instructions that I had listed and she blew up in my face about it. Luckily I haven't had anyone scream at me here on Gaia. Somehow everything that I open though appeals to the semi-literate crowd.
-sigh-
;_;

That's why I don't roleplay anywhere but Gaia. : )
I know it like the back of my hand.
And there are at least LESS idiots.
Sometimes.

ello all.

See Deadlines= Motivation= Profiles= People talking in thread.

It's good stuff >.<

I RP on gaia because there is a huge pool of people her and threads seem less likely to die in huge flames. Basically. And I thinking the Adv Lit community is much better than what I've seen on other sites.

I'm sorry. ;_; I never mean to yell. Erik's coming along nicely, I think. Not as nicely as everyone else's, of course, but still... nice. ;D

It's a good reaction list. : )
Definitely.

The advanced segment of Gaia has gone downhill in the last year, though. D:
It makes me kind of really sad. There are a lot of people who don't write very well, but get away with it by using extreme lengths and very pretty graphics.
I find it kind of unfortunate.

&& Jaja, I loved how you introduced your character. : )
From another person's point of view. Fantastic.

GORADISHGO.
xDDD

I'm sure that he's coming along very nicely indeed, love.

I've really only been on the Gaia Adv Lit scene for about a year... Actually I've only been in RP community in general about that long so alas, this is all I know.

I'm glade you like it. I was worried it wouldn't work very well, but I'm sort of pleased with it I think.

I think I've been working with it for about two years and three months. : )
Woah. o: I've roleplayed for almost three years now.
Cah-razy, dude.

It really did work. <3 And it was very original.
-was impressed and delighted-
It took me a while to figure out what was going on, though. xDDD

To be honest, I started roleplaying on Neopets.
xD
My account there is like, eight years old. Not that I go on there anymore, it was the first internet site that I created an account for.

After neopets I came here, lived life in the chatterbox and exchange for a year and moved into the Barton Town forums. I can say that I grew literate after my first year here. In 2005 I kept up with it. But I've only been apart of adv-lit threads for a year and a half or so. Pud kept making amazing roleplays and I kept growing because each thread that I joined was more demanding.

I tried to join a few of Berry's threads and I think that because I was rejected I grew up when it came to writing and saw a lot of my own mistakes. I love how much of a learning process writing can be. I know I'm not perfect and I accept it.

Let's see I've been on gaia OMG is it 5 years ish now. WOW (Member Since 12/15/2003)

I was an AT reg for ooohhh.... About forever. I dabbled in other threads. About a year ago I started getting interested in the RP world. That's an interesting story actually. I started RPing because I'm actually terrified of writing. Heh. I'm a bio major and I've always been a math science girl. Not really creative in a sense. The idea of writing papers always really freaked me out and I'd get very stressed and upset over them. So I thought if I started writing for fun maybe I'd do better when the school work rolled around. I couldn't get motivated to do it on my own but somehow the social interaction here made it a more pleasant process. And the competition to get better keeps me on my toes as it should. I don't consider myself a writer, I never have. But yeah, I guess that's different than a lot of RP here who want to grow up to be novelists or whatever. I use RPing as more of an anxiety exercise. I'm concurring a fear.

      »»» I joined gaia... Beginning of grade 7, so that's... 'o4. WOAH.
I started in the Chatterbox, here. Then I 'graduated' to the commerce, where I stayed for a long time. I also dabbled in the writer's forum, in the poetry section. I became quite the reg. People were brutal, at that time. Not afraid to offend. I was also a reg in The Literate Roleplaying Guild. Then I went to Barton Town. I wasn't very good. XDD. But I practiced. I think the beginning of my higher end roleplaying started with either TRC or CCE. Snu or Glo, I don't know. Then I started a big one of my own. And here I am. ;D

A lot of people used to roleplay so that they could get more gold. Then they changed the system here on Gaia. Polling gets you next to nothing and the more you post, the less you make. xD

But that's really cool Jade. I LOVE writing. I love story-telling and creating a character who represents myself. When I was little I thought I liked drama because I was a move addict and I always made up stories with my stuffed animals. Now that I'm older, and after 4+ years (yes, my fourth Gaiaversary is on the 26th of April? I need to check but I joined in 2004) of roleplaying experience (I don't really count the time I spent on neopets) I've figured out that writing is what I enjoy and want to do. I'm here to learn and get constructive criticism on my writing. That and like you said, the competition is killer and keeps you on your toes and getting better all of the time.

EDIT:
My first time roleplaying with snug was in Butterflies of Pleasentville but my actual start to advanced-lit roleplaying was with Pud and Natural Born Killers. I met Glo there and Panda and Vanilla and so many other people. The community we have here for adv-lit may be small because I continually see myself with the same people but that's not a bad thing.
As much as I would like to join, I am afraid that I cannot. The end of my college semester is fast approaching and I've been jumped on from behind by all these essays.

I'm reaaaaallly sorry. DDD:
