Working at a grocery close to home would be great. They had a great bakery and the hours are really nice considering I'm going into my senior year.

        most good places only hire people who are 16+, so i'm one year short.

        and, i wouldn't mind working anywhere but a fast food place.
        i keep imagining oil splattering all over me and getting in my eyes.

I can't complain when all they ask of students is one weekend shift and three days a week from 4-8. It's perfect! xD

        my friends complain so much about having to work at really unreasonable hours,
        and it doesn't sound all too appealing, so i'm ridic. happy for you. <333

        how much does it pay? is it more than the minimum wage in your state? c:
        i don't know why everyone complains so much about minimum wage, though. xD
        because i get that it's hard to raise kids + pay for a house on low
        wages, but for high school students, i think it's more than enough. c:

        OH HAVE ANY OF YOU HAD BRACES?~
        i need to get them, since my teeth are so crowded, it's ridiculous. xD
        and i've postphoned getting them for a while, but i don't want
        to be one of those 35-year-olds with braces, hahaha.

I will probably get braces after my wisdom's are pulled.
And I'm thinking minimum wage. But I live in Canada, Ontario so it's $9.50 I think.

                        like getting paid just $8.50 (minimum wage in the district i live in) is horrible.
                        everything is hella marked up so...yeah. D:

i had braces in second grade and sixth through eighth grade. fun times. not really. it was not fun. i even had a pallet expander in second grade. that's where you have a chunk of metal in the roof of your mouth and turn a key every night to force it to expand.


i got minimum wage at my job, which was $7.00 until a month ago. i too think it's fine for high schoolers to get minimum wage. don't want to spoil 'em, now! whyy, back in my day (when i started working), it was $6.25!

ugh. they raised train ticket prices again. i can't afford to hang out in the city anymore. D:

also, i had braces. for a year and a bit? but my teeth are moving back.
(it was okay though because they weren't so bad. after i got the braces the dentist actually was like 'huh. it's mostly just that your teeth look crooked because they're rounded instead of square. you should get caps.'
i was like oh hell no)
