It asked me to pick my team o-o has this happened to anyone?

Yeah, some weird message popped up in one of your posts saying something like password accepted, Event God mode, etc, and then told you to chose wisely? It happened on my main account last night after I got the item. After I made my decision, it refreshed the page and it was gone... *poof* God mode over with before I even understood my powers gonk rofl

Gathering food for hamsters . . .
Booting up secret terminal . . .
Enter passcode: i<3events . . .
Password accepted, initializing hack engine . . .
Enabling Event God mode . . .

Yeah, that was it! I had forgotten about the 'Hack Engine'! When I saw it, I was like eek , what did I do now?!? I re-read it like 5 times, because of the whole 'secret terminal', 'hack engine' and Event God mode, before truly reading the last line about choosing your team! lol

You do NOT have to quote anyone or post 'More Detention'! It is changing other users.

Look for the 'Change User' button to turn yellow/orange (whatever color you want to call it, lol) underneath other people and change that person to your team.

If you are having trouble finding anyone to change, hover your mouse over a greyed out button and it will pop up with a message telling you why you can't change that person.
Some of the common reasons why you can't change anyone:
* that person could be on your team
* you could have just been changed and have to wait a minute before you can change anyone
* that person could have just been changed and have to wait a minute before you can change them again (assuming they were not changed to your team)
* you haven't posted in this event forum in the last 5 minutes

After changing 5 - 10 people, check your inventory and the item (House Pride) should be there.

Suggestions:
After making my first post in the event forum (any thread will do), I went to the main forum page and opened about 5 or 6 threads. I went to the last page of those threads and looked for anyone I could change. Didn't take me long to get a half a dozen or so people to change, and get the item.

Also, if the thread you are in is very active, it could just be one or two people posting over and over again, meaning that if they have been changed, by anyone including yourself, they can not be changed by anyone for another minute. Which means to you, go find another thread and other users to change instead of wasting time waiting in that thread!

I also think that if you are just starting this event, you need to be changed to something before you can change anyone else).

When you are able to change someone, the button changes color from grey to that orangish color the other Gaia buttons are (like the 'Submit' button). If you are unsure as to why you can't change someone, hover your mouse over the greyed out 'Change User' button for a few seconds to find out.

I currently can not change anyone either, but I also notice that I have not been changed into anything yet.
