Massive props to Purple Mountains Majesty for the rhyming - I judged a contest in rhyme once and it was a massive pain in the a**. I APPRECIATE YOUR EFFORT!!

These were awesome to read. I feel very inspired, even/especially by the negative review. +A+ I hope you all had fun judging a paw, because I'm bringing more paw base into this.

I'm feeling insecure about my emulated avatars lol but if any of you are interested in attempting to try mines anyways just know that any kind of incomplete background would do (like Diamonds Reveal for example) only if somehow you cannot find the shape or style your trying to go with but I would prefer if you be a little decorative or creative don't just slap it on

Several judges made it a point to talk about contestants picking safe options. It might be advisable to the contestants to evaluate your future choices. You're going to be drawn more to one avi than the others: delve into why. If the answer you find is because your're comfotable with that avatar's style, maybe you should consider yourself a little deeper and decide if that's really the right choice for you. Remember too that you don't have to pick one and stick to it. Maybe try starting all of them, or at least one in each judge's style. You never know, you just might find talent where you weren't expecting. And if you fail, fail, fail? Well then there's always your safe choice, waiting in the wings.

Note: This isn't to say there should be a moral judgement on the original avatars or their creators. The AT is filled with all kinds of styles, all which have their own validity, even if, as this contest notes, not everyone likes everything. But the truth is that some styles are more complex than others, and complexity may be what sets you apart here. There aren't many of you; you'll need something to set you apart, whether that's choosing a riskier option or something else entirely.

Y'all are in a contest. Now is not the time to play it safe. Go outside of your comfort zone, enough to impress but not so far that you fall on your faces.

For the record, since you approached me, your WIP was more appealing. I think you doubted yourself in the final minutes.

You got me there - I felt there wasn't enough style and wanted to tie the green skin more closely to the natural palette with an accent color. I agree with the... consensus? (can there even be a consensus in this contest) re: it being not quite right.
