Comment: This avatar looks really fashionable and it got style, I'm strangely attracted to this very much despite how it looks like many scarves and coats are constantly layered on top of one another but I love the patterns and how it's mostly focused on dark colors.

Comment: I like this avatar because it's not too much and it's not too little (though I don't know how many items are used) the balance of this avatar is perfect and I like that there are a variety of colors chosen.
2. l Rose I
Comment: Not exactly my taste but it's pretty close to the emulation. Which is a complex style with many layerings and I like that you chose to use a hood or a raincoat instead of a hat or beanie, also I'm a little weak to transparent items.

Comment: This avatar looks a lot like the emulation, legit could be twins, almost everything is matching like the pose and the items however I do not think it exactly has its own style.

Fuzzy Wuzzy Brown
My top four in no order:

Macabeak: At first, I was a little iffy on this because the styling, overall color scheme, AND energy is a lot more muted and toned down. I appreciate the great attention to detail though. The layering. The mix of stripes and pattern. Moving forward, you need to connect to the original on a macro level... for emulation's sake. Cool doe.

| Rose |: This take's Tuni's kooky style in a way more cartoony direction. It exists in the same universe, but is maybe the more eccentric neighbor two doors down. I think it takes the essence and builds on it. Emulation-wise, may deviate a bit too much. But it's fun, well done, and may be my standalone fav creation (outside of emulation context).

wisyuu: This is probably the most out-there take on emulation. But I appreciate the creativity. Moving forward, I think you absolutely need to reel in your ideas within the confines of the original: it's great to see a fresh take AND your personal style, but that also needs to be balanced. I think you have some interesting stuff to over to this competition.

Organic Jello: I think this maybe did the best job as far as actually emulating Tuni. The patterns get muddy and messy in comparison, BUT I like that you understood her original focus on that. And the mirror silhouette works well without being too identical.

For the rest of the competition, EVERYONE needs to brush up on what emulation is. At worst, your version should always exist in the same world/universe as the original, if not the same goddamn street. Figure out how to balance your fresh ideas and own style with the original. Balancing that is what's going to get you far.

For the other peeps that didn't quite make my top picks, there were great moments and pieces (noah czerny and As if I even care especially). But you either didn't have a good enough balance of emulation OR didn't have good enough overall execution/styling to carry the av. And some of you just flopped and floundered entirely.

Inch Worm
Macabeak: Fantastic emulation, it took every element and made a version on her own.

noah czerny: Great emulation, there are some things that went a little overboard, but I liked the direction in went.

Organic Jello: I can't believe how afraid people are from using the same items as a base for an emulation. This avi does it and prove it that you can still make it original yet totally related to the source avi.

Pampered Blue: Im amazed how good this work as an emulation, the little cat version details of Tuni's items are incredible.

Tough to pick only 4. I would have liked to include la faux pas & Noah Czerny. Jello had some nice item for item replacement enmulation. Maca had best in own style emulation. Pimpernel had GODLY paw item for item emulation. wisyuu may not have been best emulation but it was still there and the avatar itself was QUALITY.

Fun fact about emullation kids: Using the SAME ITEMS does not count as emulating an avatar. That's just copying. Emulating is taking an avi, repurposing it to your own style, and representing it side-by-side. Some of these look more like companions than emulations. That wasn't the challenge. It also wasn't the challenge to look at the inspiration and go, "Eh, I'll make SOMETHING." A few of these are just horrific in their execution, and one was clearly just submitted without thought since it makes ABSOLUTELY no sense.

My top four (in no specific order since they all have problems):

Tropical Rain Forest
1. noah czerny - The over all flow of this just felt like pure emulation. Also, I just adored this avi in particular. Fantastic job!
2. Organic Jello - The flow fits perfectly to Tuni's.
3. l Rose l - Shape and flow are very nice.
4. wisyuu - What a beautiful avi!

BUT WAIT, there is a tie for the 4th position: As if I even care & Pimpernel Blue.

We're going to have a tie breaker vote, but only between the 5 judges who didn't vote for either.
