I guess by 'practical' I didn't mean it in the sense of how people can dress practically.
I meant it in the sense that it's practical in regards to avatars, aka realistic.

But when I joined and picked those words, I didn't quite realize that we weren't doing fashion stuff. By which I mean, I don't want to put my realistic fashion avatar line up against people doing ********, because I won't stand a chance. emo

No matter how fantastic a simple avatar is, people will still go 'meh'.

Not necessarily. I think simple avatars are harder, because you can't hide any imperfections. So to me, a fantastic simple avatar is much more impressive than a fantastic ******** avatar.

See, that's how I feel, but it seems to me that the definition of 'fantastic' is highly varied. rofl

I didn't think my teals were off at all. rofl Also, I think skin balance is going to be an issue for me throughout this whole contest; I'm making real people here, and generally people wear clothes that cover their bodies, not their faces. rofl

I think it's more that the skirt is such a flat shade of teal, the dimensionality of the hat doesn't go well with that flatness.
