I've run and judged and competed in many, many contests.
This contest came about as a child of my MH addiction... I've been playing various versions for about 6 years now. Recently started playing Monster Hunter Tri, and was suddenly inspired. xD

FINAL TEST!
First: Pick another big baddie. Bash it. [Just like the last pick-a-monster challenge, only go bigger.]
Second: Make armor out of it. [an armor set that could feasibly be made from whatever monster you killed.
That's about the end of it. I'm leaving this really open-ended. Tell your character's story however you want to. 2 avatars required, you may make more, but only 2 will be judged.
Not going to set a specific due date, as I know everyone's busy, but get 'em in ASAP

Darby journeyed deep to the Great Forest to track down the legendary Nargacuga for her final test. She heard the rattle of its tail scales before she saw it. Darby took a couple of hits early on. After she realized how quick the creature was she set off sonic bomb to surprise the monster. It roared as it entered a furious rage. Darby gritted her teeth as she went for the head. She thrust her blade through the creature's eye with an aggressive scream.
After her hard-won victory Darby crafted a new set of armor from the remains of the Nargacuga.

I like the flash bomb effect & the battle damage, but I’m not sold on the background.

The character isn’t as strong here because of the utter lack of facial expression. Overall, good item choices for the monster you chose.

Suzu Yuudai
Gyda's first thought was going to be that she was going to kill whoever had not mentioned that a Diablos used fire. She still got pretty banged up, but at least she could have taken precautions against facial burns...like adding a visor.
But immediately afterward she couldn't help but feel a immense sense of satisfaction. She had actually taken down a wyvern! Now she could truly consider herself a hunter.
Smiling to herself as she eyed the corpse she started to make plans as to what exactly she wanted to do with it.

While I still like your armor choices, the character is a little lost here. Doesn’t feel like a heat-of-battle moment, which kind of clashes with the wyvern sneaking up in the background.

Nice item choices here, good find on the horns too. She looks really determined and ready to go be a real hunter.
