❝They look similar right? Weiss is my beauty. And RWBY is a wonderful series! Unfortunately, the created did, oh my, two years ago. So sad. Of course, being the man he was, he had the script for SEASONS to come so the rest of the crew took over and the voice of Ren, whom Monty was voicing, went to his brother, as these things usually do. The animation has gotten better, the storyline...escalated a little too quickly for me, and the fight scenes, which were the best, seem very...animish to me. I mean RWBY is what I'd like to consider anime, but it was different and has it's own light. It's still one banging show. You're probably better off just binging on netflix because the episodes are really short. ❞

I'm going to start watching it once I have finished the Mentalist- so it will be another
month or so, but I forward to it! Thanks for recommending it! 8D It will also be nice having
a series that has shorter episodes in it. >8D

I _honestly_ think you could get the feel of the book from watching the movie.
It's a little different, but the changes are completely justified IMO.
Definitely treat yourself!

I think the narrative felt different, but Baz Luhrmann managed to capture the 'feel' perfectly. It's wild, chaotic, beautiful, dazzling, vapid, hedonistic. I feel like there's a lot of nuance that the film misses, but Fitzgerald's descriptive power is captured soooo well. Baz Lurhmann was the perfect choice of director in that sense.

I couldn't think of a better way to transfer the story into film-format.
Though I miss Fitzgerald's words, I know what you mean. You can lose the significance of the color green and the spectacled eyes of God watching.
And other things I'm not thinking of, I know.

That whole era was just *sparkle eyes*
And I love Brideshead Revisited, the first half of which is set in the same time period.

I should read more than just the one novel, like The Beautiful and The Damned.

Oh, agree with you wholeheartedly. Me too. I feel like there needs to be someone near
the director/script writer to sit alongside them the whole time and smack either of
them with the book if they go too far off tract. >8D
