Ghastly purple is in the sinful scheme, I never noticed that before searching ghastly in my inventory. For the other colors, I looked at what gaia named them in the upcoming tie-dye rotation. Sinful Gloom Fox is a good example of how the ghastly purple blends in between the pluto and galaxy, while the offblack and ivory stays separated from that gradient.

I have no idea, but I have other items with the same purple mixed with black. None of them tagged with a scheme or specific name for the purple in question. Here's a couple more items that match shadow virus:

(Though shadow virus doesn't actually match itself, the tail and sword are warmer and more vibrant than the rest of the poses.)

If you hadn't pointed it out, I might never have spotted it. My eyes skip right over it, to the two vibrant shades to either side. Thank you for links and explaining, I get it now.
I did note Shadow Virus doesn't match itself. Tricky. When I think of SV, I think of that bright, vivid, angry purple.

Ohai, I am a person who complains about lack of texture! I can answer your query only for myself, of course, not for others who also miss cloth-like texturing of poses. Layers of flat-shaded items still look flat as paper to me, so I am not interested in working with that style of item, although I realize it is very on-trend these days.

I'm aware of the divide and the reasoning behind both sides of said divide, but I really can't unsee how dirty and messy older, textured items look. They are harder to match and control. There's some items I still go back to, like Western Zodiac, Petal Professor Hana, Illicya's Honor, or Gift of the Goddess; but I feel older items should be used sparingly, and many did not age well. I strongly believe that it's easy to get around the cell-shading aversion some users have with proper layering. Estupe, Adrian, and other such users are prime examples of this, creating their own textures and color schemes with completely illogical items. If they can create texture out of the smoothest of modern cell-shaded items, so can others. New items are not out of your ability to use.
I'm personally glad we've moved on to the cleaner, more modern style. It makes a greater quantity of outfits possible. I would not want to go back to go back to the pre-textured era, I rather have control over where texture ends up on an avatar.

I beg your forgiveness for the state of the lists. I pulled new ones but didn't have a chance to clean them up yet.

I truly had expected myself to come up with several other looks for last week's schemes, but that did not happen.

Uh-oh, I've been incorrectly calling Marshlands Swampberry this whole time! redface How embarrassing. Well, at least I know now. xd

Here is a Swampberry + oranges look. I seem to be feeling a touch of autumnal melancholy at present.

Here's my take on swampberry. I really like this theme for certain looks.

I don't find swampberry green (-sort of) attractive, but that's mostly because it reminds me of bugs, fungus and murky water. Maybe there should be more underwater themed items with swampberry, it sort of gives off that tone of something that lost color in water. Maiden of Fiji would probably look good with it. exclaim

I think swampberry matches best with other pale colors or white/ivory. I don't think it looks all that good with offblack and gold... which brings me to Marshlands. Heavy on the shading, which makes the swampberry look dirtier, but when there's not so much sootberry, the swampberry ends up looking glossy, especially with the gold in the mix. I think the Secondhand scheme looks a lot better than Marshlands, the dove gray fits in well. I typically like gold with everything, just not with Swampberry. It's a color that belongs with insects, dirty water and old things, not with treasure. lol

Edit: Swampberry is a runway theme tomorrow, and it feels like most people are a little confused about Swampberry vs Marshlands. (I thought it was the same thing) I wonder if people will actually vote for avatars that doesn't stick to Marshlands specifically...

I'm not too keen on swampberry. to me, it's a sickly green color, and i do not like it with sweetberry pink. heck, i don't really like sweetberry pink.

it's just a bit pale and kind of washes things out. I have the same problem with midori, except midori is less yellow, and the teensy tiniest bit more blue. but heck, just because i don't like schemes doesn't mean i would discourage others from liking it and wanting more items in the scheme. I'm not sure what would make me like the color more, maybe more earthy brown tones? i'll have to try it out myself.

Fun fact for you all in case you didn’t look at Luna Moth’s release date. The Swampberry color is only a year old! Luna Moth was part of last year’s August monthly CI

Unrelated to the above: Shoot, your post reminded me I could have tossed Secondhand in here!

Related to the above: I find it odd they are saying the Swampberry scheme. I even avoided referencing it as a specific scheme here in thread because right now there is really just Marshlands and all-other-swampberry. Well I mean I pulled out Swampberry + Sweetberry in my own threads but for this week that’s all pilled in. Quite the timing though on the CSS color and the runway theme

I loooove Swampberry, in any of its incarnations.
I noted Lunar Moth with interest but I think what did it for me was Once Glorious. Beautiful!
I wouldn't mind seeing more of both of these schemes.

They take many runway themes from user suggestions and the thread for it, so I'm not surprised it came up, or that a core group of people are determined that swampberry is one entity. While there was lots of marshlands in the runway, real swampberry prevailed. Alas though, 20th place. I'll have better items next time.

Mostly because of the runway, I did swampberry first. I love working sootberry into the sage, soft green. To me, it's not sickly at all. The pink perks it up a bit, making it a daintier color scheme. Pale pink bubblegum without it's blue, or it's blue covered up, works well to patch spots or in the case of my horns, provide me something that works for this scheme. I feel the softer pink in swampberry had shown up a lot, in many items, and it's just not tagged well.

Marshlands is next, and unlike Noct, I reveled in adding gold to it.

classified_starseed Marshlands + murky blue. I had trouble finding enough accessories for this look, but I think it worked out in the end.

I love swampberry! I usually don't like greens, but it's muted enough that I fell in love with it :~)
