I'm falling more for fenghuang b/c of all of Chocobo Princess' avatars. Queen of Fenghuang! The scheme of red, orange, yellow, and green is so festive and vibrant and beautiful

I would like to make a Fenghuang recolor, but I'm not sure how to get the items by themselves (like without a base through making an avatar using the item)

I see some people were able to get hairs recolored with the back of the hair and everything- does anyone know how to do that?

I was thinking a Godina recolor in all the Fenghuang colors could be pretty. And I'm always up for recoloring some chubby items in new colors (to hint to Gaia we need more body shapes~ :3)

Does anyone have any advice?

Fenghuang is interesting, however the limited amount of items which do have the actual colors makes it rather difficult to really appreciate it without always doing the same stuff again and again sad In short: we need more of it biggrin

Hercynian isn't using my fav shade of green, so it's not really a scheme I personally use. However, the colors making the scheme are used enough in other items to make it easier to play with.

I dont think I own enough Fenghuang to try it, so I made a Hercynian one instead~
While I love greens, browns are my least favorite color. We're on Gaia, brown hair is the everyday hair I'm stuck with~
With that said, I usually find a hairstyle and work from there. Wendy brown is in a lot of the older hairstyles, not the new sweatdrop
After I got past that hiccup, it was fun trying to throw all these greens together. I was definitely leaning toward cunning green the most and spring green the least. Maybe it's the spring green I used (glow) but it's giving off too much warmth.

Made a male version because I wanted to work with olive. Unfortunately olive is usually with gold >.>" I'm not sure it counts. I needed more emerald in there for sure since it got dulled by the background... maybe the eyes...

I know it is a little late but I created a Hercynian forest protector. She casts spells to protect the forest and all its inhabitants. I did a blend of all the greens that are included in the color scheme with the warmth of the chocolates.

I'm a little late to the discussion but the Fenghuang orange reminds me of the orange in https://www.gaiaonline.com/marketplace/itemdetail/10008801

When I previewed a hair the colors are very close but not exactly the same.

Mute so far is not my cup of tea. I prefer schemes with some kind of contrast, but the ivory isn't used widely enough and there isn't a fourth color to make it really pop. I do adore that shade of purple though. I'm not sure what color I would prefer to see mixed in, something more on the pastel side though, nothing superbright like jay blue. Perhaps rose pink?

As for Black Doris, oh man do I love this scheme. Before a bunch of my Filigree crap came out, I would totally steel poses for this scheme to help supplement the itty bitty amount of poses that were burgundy/offblack only. Doris is a great color, and is the same shade as the shadows in burgundy, so niether looks bad together.

I do get a bit iffy on the magenta though. I'm definitely not too fond of bright colors in muted schemes? I would have preferred to see a softer shade of pink, possibly amaranth/rosepink/sweetberry (something to that effect).

I love both of these schemes.

Anko purple has been one of my favorites ever since Quoth the Stars came out. (Although, I still haven't been able to make it work to my satisfaction). I do wish there was more than just purple and black to the scheme, though. I've found it works pretty nicely with Mephiste or Ossidian. Cunning/basilisk green, too. Silver accents. Moody, sure, but I like the combinations. It just feels like it's missing something as is. Still love it.

More elegant items would be nice! Something I can use the Quoth hair with, pretty please. So far, it seems mostly casual.

The magenta bit isn't to my tastes, but the burgundy/merlot shade of Black Doris is to die for. And yet... somehow I own absolutely nothing in this scheme? I should probably rectify that. After my tickets. It's just such a lovely scheme. Deep and rich. Definitely well suited to elegant, fantasy sort of stuff.

I really love the Mute colors but I only have one item that is Mute atm. sweatdrop Instead I created a Black Doris kitty cat. I might try to make another Black Doris before this week is over. gaia_kittenstar

I'm not a big fan of purple, and sometimes schemes just looks like yet another color+ivory+offblack combo, but Mute works for me despite being both those things. The offblack and purple works well together, and reminds me of older items that often had a brown or purple tone to the black, like Devil Tail and Death Whisper. It's darkness without being purely black, and kind of like the color scheme of my cat in sunlight.

I would like to see more items with pants in this scheme. (and dragons) There are a couple of options, sure, but every single Mute item I already own has either socks/stockings/shoes up to the knees, or socks/stockings/shoes with panties. No pants at all. I've been holding on to items from rigs and whatnot with poses that I like, in wait of enough items in the scheme to put together an avatar with, and probably ended up with the most available items. It's a bit disappointing that none of those has any pants. emotion_sweatdrop

MUTE: In my opinion, that gave me some witch vibes from this one. I like it. 8.5/10

BLACK DORIS: I am a huge fan of dark reds, and this one is pleasing enough needless to say. 10/10

I feel like these two color themes would do nice in the same avi.
Magenta mainly being an accent but having it as vice versa would look cool too, with mainly magenta and wine accents. But I don't know if the look can be pulled off properly.
This purple might match?

I really like Mute, but have never really pulled off an avatar I felt was complete, I think Anko looks good with Liseran, so maybe I'll mess around with that in a couple days.

Black Doris is great too, and I love the magenta pops in contrast to the deeper burgundy. I don't have a ton of it in my inventory, so this was my favourite effort on this front.

Another week, some new schemes! Excited!

I'm not a fan of Muted. It's too....muted for me. Little contrast, and the purple is just really drab to me :/

I'm much more a fan of Black Doris! I did a quick Google search to see if "Black Doris" came up with anything, and apparently, it's a type of plum! The name really fits the scheme! I also love plums and prunes.

I like the wine red, not so much the offblack, because it blends in a bit into the wine. I like the magenta as a contrasting/accent color, but sometimes it is a little jarring to see it stand out so much against the wine red. Sometimes it looks like hot pink when it does! I also feel like this magenta isn't the same one as in CYMK or maybe next to wine red, it looks different to me.... I dunno O.O;;

I'm taking a page out of Vodka Vixen's book and using some burgundy in my black doris avvies, because I only own two black doris items. It also really helps to bridge the gap between wine red and magenta. These can be found in my Favorites collection.

i would die for these two color schemes lul i love them so much even tho i own near nothing in either of them emo (only 4 items in mute & only 3 in black doris)

black doris took a little to grow on me originally, but i quite like it now. mute i loved right away. idk i really like the purple and i think it goes well with black

here's a mute avi i made earlier this yr though; i did use sootberry for the hair and the collar because none of my other mute items went well with the theme of the avi and sootberry looks pretty well with the theme imo
