I enjoy the bright colors of fenghuang and I have some items I wanted to see the scheme, mostly asian items.

Avatars I have made in the past. I have yet to make any new ones. I like using poppy and shamrock to help make some substitutes considering the lack of fenghuang we have.

I finally had a chance to build avatars not on Sunday! Still behind by a handful, though.

Fenghuang is a longtime favorite of mine. Back when it was just one item and before tickets, I think it was Silverlight Symphony ( I could be wrong) who devotedly wore it and nothing but it for their character. I was enchanted by the colors, surprised that I could like anything so bright (whereas now I want everything to pop). I wish more existed, it's certainly a scheme I would invest into. Anything tribal (Otami!), Eastern, or flowy would look amazing with this scheme.
I utilized Mythical (it's very hard to tell it apart), Poppy (which is not quite deep/bold enough, but it works), canary, goldenrod, and lemon. Oh, and a touch of rosamund. I don't have every item in this scheme yet, but I will, count on it.

Achieving Hercynian without straying into Cunning was difficult. Has a scheme ever used so many similar but mismatched hues of the same color? I really love the scheme, don't get me wrong, I've collected about everything in it, it's just a very difficult scheme to use in and of itself. Sometimes it has peony flowers, usually it goes gold but sometimes it goes silver, the black and white are generally a bit different than in other items, the green of emerald isn't consistent...And don't forget the random mint sometimes! Tough.
As a green lover, you could use every green in this color scheme and I'd still wear it, but I wish it had more consistency across items. Not every Hercynian matches another one, or is even tagged. Definitely ran into a few untagged ones. The browns are also not consistent.
What I want to see from this scheme is a little more beige-vintage heavy, and maybe remove the mint. It's a rich and lovely scheme, many beloved woodland backgrounds share the colors, but if only it was easy to search and use.

redface Sure! Heh, I feel kinda embarrassed now, but thank you for your kind words. The skirt is a gold shop Lehenga, and the background is from Edo Ukiyoe. 4laugh

Thank you. I love your enthusiasm for this scheme, and making good use of the recent Indian set from the gold shops. I use those scarves constantly, excellent items.

I wanted to try balancing the lace of the Clover Culture against the brocade of the Lehenga. I feel this one was semi-successful.


Here I started with the yellow as the base and then built on it. I love the scheme even when tempered by a darker lighting effect, as here.


I had to try using my new hat. whee I love that Titus fits with this scheme; he was the first "expensive" pet-companion I quested.


Here's one with a partially-hidden Ember, another favourite pet-companion.


I also wanted to try one with an elegant magical feel. I like how the Mizuchi's Jewel poses fit with the rest of this outfit.


I suddenly remembered Wandering Corsican uses this same yellow, so I had to make something with it. 4laugh

I really like Hercynian. Greens and browns go well together - and these particular shades of green and brown are my jam~
I especially never heard of Fenghuang before, and if I've ever seen it, I don't remember~ I noticed 'Poppy' matches fenghuang red pretty well.
I want more hairs and backgrounds in Hercynian.

Ready or not, it's time for another episode of The Jig is up, ChoPri is a Fenghuang Otaku Chocobo Princess' Enduring Zeal for Fenghuang ~


This combination was aiming for a Royal Bodyguard at an Elegant Function feel, and I think it succeeds. I am also pleased by the subtlety of the touch of blue, brought in by Okeanos' Royal Cape. I find it so satisfying that the Fenghuang yellow works with so many of the classic-era golds.


Similar, yet different, this one tries out the Mizuchi's Jewel sleeves to add some red and gold to the arm area.


This bold look showcases the way Levianovo melts into the Fenghuang scenario.


Starting with Masterpieces' Klimt Robe pose gives this outfit a theme of Ashes & Confetti, which I attempt to replicate across the remainder of the pieces.


This outfit pairs one of the GoFusion Daffodil item tunics with a Crystal Witch skirt, then adds some Fenghuang elegance to complete the look.

So here's my attempt at Fenghuang.


I've always liked the scheme, but there's really nothing to work with to make avi's I'd be proud of with. I adore how others can use it, but I've just never been able to.

I did find that the green in the Mythic scheme is pretty damn close, and I also recommend poppy, butter, and fairytale schemes to help supplement.

I decided to go a little different route with Fenghuang and made a little japanese succubus demon (or something inspired?) because I saw this skin and thought it was pretty close to Fenghuang green. I used butter and gold for my yellows. I'm pretty happy with this. I won't say I'm particularly fond of Fenghuang - I'm not a big fan of yellow or orange in the first place.
