Haha! Good news (to me) the archives aren't loaded enough anymore to trip up Photobucket's blocking. If you ever wanted to look through them they will hopefully remain working for a bit

Here is my ace outfit~
was really fun to make, I knew there was this color scheme from the ace bass item, however I never attempted to create an outfit from it. I love this shade of red with the icy blue. kinda like a punk fourth of July theme.

Well, this is a little outside my usual repertoire, but it is good to try new things sometimes (and I was able to avoid bodymods, always a win for me mrgreen ). So this is my first Ace look.

I want to make at least one more in my usual style, too, but I am still working on finding a good base item in slate or denim for that.

I like the way this scheme uses a murky base colour and then adds tiny pops of the two brighter colours. 4laugh

Like a lot of schemes Ace certainly seems to have a theme to the items it gets put on. Doesn't help it's another scheme where a third of it is hair or eyes. Still a nice creative look you managed!

It doesn't help that when it isn't just tagged pink fuchsia is sometimes spelled fuscia or another slightly off version

We have not done Samui but it is a user scheme so it'll need a Gaia made friend. It might be able to go with Borealis? Though it has no pink and uses black...
One could definitely go cross-eyed with the similar blues on this site. I guess that makes it easier to mix and match them though, unlike bold greens.
I wonder if Imperious is modern Ace? Though Gaia staff seem to have a thing for Blue + Pink in general so it could just be that. Guess we'll have to wait and see

I commented in the selection thread for this part.

I -wish- that greens had so many options that they were hard to tell apart. At least we can enjoy the ease of use when it comes to blue? I'm not complaining about blue, but could definitely use more green. It's a color that seems largely ignored compared to red, purple, and blue.

That's definitely what I was thinking, it feels so similar in both the items chosen, the placements of the two hues, and over all if you took a color slider and just adjusted it one direction.


To Ace itself:
I didn't like this before I tried using it, but now that I've made an avatar, I'm super enjoying it's ravepunk aspects. I didn't even know I had this many ace items wandering around in my inventory (and a couple aren't tagged ace, tricky). I feel like at some point it overlapped with slushy a little (looking at you, bea, and you, gloom), but it's a fun to use scheme when you want to do something wild, without using Wild itself (for you purple-haters, it's the superior version). There was too big a difference for me with demoncandy poses to use, but you definitely don't have to stick to purely ace to use it.

There's a usermade scheme that matches the cobalt/gray/green really nicely, but it doesn't have a name...or if it does, I'm not sure how to find more of it.

There are very few versions of Green and Orange compared to Red, Blue and Purple. I think Yellow has gotten a few more in recent years but it also falls behind be a lot.

Oh yeah, Ace has unfriendly tagging. Glad you managed to find some though! Always fun to find new things or rediscover old ones.

In other news, I continue to be surprised by how versatile the Silver Ruby Vaddanam is; that pinkish stone can become a lot of different "colours", depending on what it's worn with. whee That is one reason I am dying for more of these with other gem colours and in both gold and silver (and copper and bronze?), Gaia. emotion_kirakira I need some Topaz ones, Emerald ones, Amethyst ones, Onyx ones, . . . um, pretty much all the Crystal Witch gems, actually. Yeah, that would be good. sweatdrop

It's quite a fun scheme to play around with. Admittedly, this avvie I made has a bit too much aqua for me, so finding the right balance between the bright blue and pink is really important. I like the Color Scheme showcase and others' avvies for using more white to balance the bright out. Using steel and denim also tones the aqua down. I'll have to play around with it some more.

Thanks for the tip with the alleycat scheme. I used the pink bow, and it matches quite nicely. Other magenta would work well with Ace, I think.

Funny that one of the hottest fall schemes, is the combination of yellow, orange, and green; fairytale is definitely one of my loves, and it has been since Pumperilla. It deserved more, and now it has it.

Maybe a little white jacket or vest could help since the midsection blends into the hair a bit but I think it's a pretty good representation of the scheme. The little bits of steel you blended in I particularly like, I think it strengthens the overall consistency!

Fellow thread goers are definitely to thank for those tips. Before people suggested things I had just put "rock on" in there. Not that helpful

Unicorn. Oh dear. That's going to be a tough one, though I bet some of the starry sinful items might work...
