So I actually have an okay amount of Lyra items ( thank you tier) but i wanted to see if it could be faked like some of the other schemes. So first avie is about 99% Lyra while the following only have pure lyra for the hair. In case anyone's' interested the colors i used for my fakes are Coral ( sea dreams) Sorbet, Frost Blue ( the lighter frost) and Mist. Oh and my second is specifically playing with using Jay blue in small amounts.

coral/sea dreams, sorbet, and frost blue, how nice! that's a really pretty way to 'make' lyra~

Always happy to name things but they aren't always official. Schemes, or especially the names, probably shouldn't be taken too seriously when coming from me.

Yeah the St. Ciel scheme has had a very interesting evolution. I'm sad the Storage version dropped the blueish-purple color to become what we see today. It would be nice if Agape got to be a scheme too! We do seem to be getting more grey variations in schemes these days, just need to make sure they stay there

Storge had such a lovely blue...but all I can do is try to remake Agape in Adoring, to not confuse the tag system any more than it already is.
Thank you for pairing Noct and I up when showcases happen. Usually our avatars are responses to each other, made while speaking with one another, and they just tend to make more sense together on the same line. You're very kind to indulge us.
....so much yes, on naming specific grays and silvers. Especially silvers. There are so many tones of silver, and they are all just 'silver'.

I do like Concrete Jungle, but I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to balance the arm mod I had on for the Sadodere avatar with gray pants. (I need transparent everything to succeed at avatar challenges, I like the smooth transitions. XD)
Oh, I didn't realize that it was one of your threads, but I did read the update at least. Sucks to be out of internet for that long, I had about a week without internet recently, and I thought that was bad. The Sadodere item I showed in post came out 2-3 weeks ago, so still fairly new. (I don't think a month is terribly long to go without an update.)
I'm fine with either option, I just like being next to Ry in general. I'm currently about 5 feet away from her irl even, we like to be close. whee

Wanted to make sure you knew the showcase switched. Miss you.

Sorry everyone! Both scheme lists this week are currently incomplete
Weekly tips help would be loved for these schemes.

So apparently between the beginning for February and now the number of Opal items has, in fact, doubled. Added all the ones I could find but do let me know if I missed any
Also got Lyra up to date but the change is much less dramatic, being only a month behind. Still about 10 items or more though.

Have enough tips for your tastes?

I guess the orange in pearlescent and Lyra are pretty similar, aren’t they? I tried combining Lyra and sorbet briefly, but dropped it when everything started coming out in Lyra. I can only keep up with so many schemes. I’m pretty glad Crystallized hasn’t been used as liberally, because I have bills. :’C

Ooh. I like opalescent. It's just so pretty. I think I like it best as an accent to the offwhite, but it's still gorgeous either way. Certainly something I'd love to use in an avatar someday. (I'm cheap... so, I'm going to wait until the scheme is less popular or gets a mass re-release with a high drop rate and, ergo, becomes more affordable.)

Lyra, eh. I love that gliese blue. Love it. The pink-purple shade is more on the iffy side for me. I don't like it, I don't dislike it, but I probably won't ever use it. If I could just separate that blue and use it with something else, I'd be a happy camper. Like byzantium, maybe. It's not a perfect match but some kind of strong, solid purple would be great. Green might push it too much into illuminated/fallen wish territory. Although, I adore that scheme so maybe that wouldn't be a bad thing. xp

I do appreciate that most of the items end up being elegant ones. Still, it'd be great to see more masculine items and male items in general. Nothing says men can't be elegant, too. Or wear pastels. Maybe something like Haunting Louis? It already comes in lighter shades, though. Hm. Regent of Aurelian? It would certainly be different.

Sadly, I don't have time for mocks this week-- I really need to buckle down on the ones I'm making for my kin recolorist application. Still, everyone's avatars look great! I'm honestly a little jealous of how quickly all of you can make such wonderful avatars.

It's so, so girly, it's -all- girly! What will I do? It's so girly, my avatar died and returned as a ghost. No dragon, only death... looking stylish in opalescent.
I can't handle lyra yet, not enough for me to work with, but maybe I'll get more computer time later so I can give it a proper attempt. sweatdrop

I’ve only been successful in making one avatar with it, but since they have finally come out with new items for it I need to try it again!! Also happy to see the other color schemes that I can use to mimic it. I was having difficulty with that before!!

I know what you mean about the colors and all that. I can get overwhelming pretty quickly gonk I don't have any money to spend at all, I mostly just quest for my items and hope they're in the marketplace by the time I have the gold/plat for it sweatdrop I agree! So hard to keep up with every new scheme they add gonk

Well, I suspect I am an edge case with Lyra: I have an involuntary and extremely negative visceral reaction to that pink. redface I really dig both the blue and the peach of Lyra, but I just can't stand the pink, so most of the poses I can't use since they require having all the colours at once.

So here's a near-Lyra look, using mint instead.

While I prefer Lyra over opalescent, I'm not really too keen on either scheme. Both feel like a scheme that matches with itself and only itself. Doesn't help that both are focused on female items.

And this is my last avatar for this theme. I had others, but I liked how Opalescent, Lyra and Astherie looked together. Astherie really brings out the pink in Lyra and with it's glowing nature kind of fits well with Opalescent too. These really are two versatile color schemes, and I enjoyed seeing everyone's avatars for this week! It was two of my favorite schemes in one! emotion_bigheart

Between the two, I am much more drawn to the Lyra theme. I just like the colors more. It doesn't seem to have an many items as Opal though. I just find the color scheme in Opal to be hard to see. Anywho, Here is my attempt for my boy avatar base.
