I like the colours on lotus, but I don't like them on the current cel-shaded style items because they become too overwhelmingly bright, especially Merina. On older items with a greater shading range, it definitely doesn't feel as overpowering.

Seeing comments that the details disappear with the lack of contrast. It's all super-saturated bright stuff so it's not a surprise. If ivory becomes the main colour and peach and merina become the highlights, then of course they come out, but do we really need more white based items? I mocked up Iris the Jackalope but I changed a couple of features to the chocolate brown in caramel. I think that it's a nice enough colour contrast and using it as accents can reduce the brightness of the scheme and make the features clearer:

CONFECTIONERY! heart heart My third love, behind Bubblegum and Sea Dreams. I love the bright pastel colors of the Agate and Lavender together, not to mention it looks good on so many different items. I just wish that after Gaia did their own Fairly Fatal recolor, that they would've continued doing items every now and again. Although admittedly because it'd save me a lot of ticket work. blaugh

Commenting on Centauri: Not a scheme I collect, and given the current choice of items I doubt I will quite yet. However, given my love for both Honey Lavender, Etoile, and the newly re-introduced Snapdragon scheme, I'll be keeping an eye out on this scheme for future uses!

I LOVE both of these schemes and I've been waiting with my Centauri avii here. I've got a confectionery one too. I'll post that later in the week, maybe try my hand at more than one.

Anyways purple is my favorite color so I'm always happy to see more shades being used. Also there is just something about Centauri that just draws me too it. As for Confectionery its pale scheme which can be touch and go with me (but its not one of those blinding pale ones ) but the colors just seem to go so well together and it was really fun to play with.

ooh, i'm not sure which of the two schemes I like more. the silvery grey green/blue in Centauri really catches my eye, but i love the light blue in confectionery.

Oh, centauri. One of the first schemes I ever fell in love with, probably because Alpha Centauri was such a stunning item. I wish this scheme would get more love. I have a feeling it'll be a long wait, though emo

I like confectionery bc it fits my ethereal aesthetic. I have a few avis where I use it along with other pastels (read: borealis and polar)

i also made the confectionery leporidae mocks before it came out but it's a thing now so those mocks are outdated lol

Ugh, I don't really like confectionery. Gives me that melty vibe and not enough contrast.

I've never actually tried to make an avi in centauri. I don't really have too many items in.

I wish there was more centauri, though. The colors are so nice.

i adore confectionery, but with like 90% of the items being usermade makes it really difficult to collect.....i've had a bunch of usermade confectionery items on my wishlist for ages that still haven't had a single re-release, or at least not an effective re-release.
i'm not so much into the shade of purple on centauri, personally
