I despise toxic and all its variations so hard pass this week.

I only like toxic in presidential. I found it really hard to make white and toxic work on the items I like because it's really a scheme that needs very hard divides and cel shading to not make the white look grey.
I will upload mocks when I've got internet. Haven't managed to find any items that it looks good on yet, no matter what combination I make.

Gonna be honest, I never really cared for toxic. It didn't really do anything for me outside of a few venom items. But I began loving it late last year when Serafiella made Volatile Delinquit, linked by Valansi below, and when she introduced me to acidic. (Acidic... emotion_drool ) It's so strange how simple and effective switching black to white is to me, but paring toxic green with white looks brilliant! I'm thrilled to see Gaia pick it up with sour apple, and I'd love to see more. 3nodding Although I like just pairing toxic with white, I must admit that including black as an accent balances things out a bit.

While I saw Serafiella's modest post in reply to this, I would agree. In terms of essentially what makes sour apple different from regular toxic, that item kind of is the forerunner. Though some toxic items had white thrown in here and there in very small doses, to my knowledge, this was the first item to mainly focus on pairing toxic green with white. 3nodding

Man the hate on the pure white is really odd to me. Then again I'm not a fan of either offchrome or ivory and that fact that it gets stuck to everything annoys me because it's never quite the same.....

I think the pure white was a good choice to be honest. I tried a few ivory items with the toxic poses and they compete for attention because of the sharpness of toxic green, at least to me.

Agreed. And describing it as sharp is very fitting. (I was going to say pure white was probably chosen over ivory since there are already a lot of toxic with black, so why would ivory be used? But then again, CMYK uses black and CMYW uses ivory, so that threw that idea out the window. lol)

Honestly, I think the Volatile Delinquit and these should be added to the list:
Sure, the ones I linked are single poses, but they fit perfectly. (The first three are intentionally toxic green + white, also by Serafiella and Sensifer, the poster children for this color scheme, in a sense. rofl But I could understand the argument for the last one that it's more or less coincidentally toxic green + white and should be left off.) Though, I will stop there. There are a few other poses on other items that are toxic green + white, but they are on items that are mostly the regular toxic color scheme. wink

Oooh, didn't realize it was considered a "new" scheme.
I loved putting white with Toxic and black. I used to dislike Toxic when I first saw it, but now it's one of my favorite color schemes.
So when Sour Apple came out, I was so ecstatic to see that there's still some demand for Toxic. I usually pair more blacks than whites with Toxic, though. XD

to me, aerling is just navy and gold so that's really nothing special, and echo is just diamond dust and we already did that
cubdrop is the only kin that's gotten items unrelated to the kin itself as far as i can see

aerling hasn't been used on anything but lk items
echo has that thing of being diamond dust + yellow/yellowish orange (stanford collected a few items linked in the suggestion thread)
leafkit is not cherie but also hasn't been used outside lk items
cubdrop has indeed gotten items outside of lk

I think the suggestions come from the fact that stagony has a scheme, barkhiest became ghastly, cubdrop's had a few uses, so why can't the others?
