I think I impulsively bought a silken bundle or something and tried to make an avi with it. I liked pairing it with the cicero skin, that helped make it more interesting to me. I'm not sure how much I'll use it in the future though.

I started with the lip combo and then paired it with the B.O.O. skin and tried to go from there. I don't actually pick up a lot of these more unusual pastel usermade colors, but I like just about any avi that I throw those mushrooms on, so I think I made it work.

Oh man, I started this one so long ago! I just realized I hadn't posted it because I was saving it for October, but I think I started her back in May. She is meant to be a follow-up to this avi, where I first tried mixing pickle and calabash, and I actually made her before this avi where I use the same color theme, but that one was more summery so I posted it at the time. I have another couple in my closet to post later with these colors, but I want to try mixing some saturn in as well if I can.

Thank you! I can't say I recommend it, because those schemes/colors tend to be pretty expensive. batty is really good at mixing the pastels into other schemes, which I think is more approachable since you wouldn't need as many.

This avi started with me trying to make this hair look good by covering the top part of it with a hat. I originally was trying to make this work as a rust+swampberry+ivory+offblack avi, but I simply did not have enough rust poses that didn't also contain other colors that conflicted with the scheme, so I swapped to a different color of the same hair and then all the rust poses for helio/akio/saturn poses. I think the light purples actually work a little better with swampberry (and heirloom) anyway. I wanted to give her a little bag, but nothing I had worked. It was also really hard to find bags and armmods that worked with the colors and didn't cover up the collar or the detailing on the waist that I liked.

I really liked playing with the overdress from the last avi, and I wanted to play with the fairytale scheme for autumn, so this just sort of happened. Let's pretend they're friends and they shared the sewing pattern with each other. I really like the bangs with the little horns, I didn't think I'd keep them when I first put them on, but they looked so cute they ended up staying.

A witch with many feline familiars! I originally tried to use a swampberry skin for this one, but it was too hard to find an armmod I liked, so I ended up swapping for this purple skin. It goes well with the witchly scheme.

Is she a witch, or is she the goddess of autumn? I had found this skirt combo while making the previous fairytale avi and I was pumped when I saw how well this hat went with it. The only thing I'm not 100% sure about is the face, but I don't dislike it.

She was inspired by me wanting to use something from Fly With Me to make a witch. I ended up using the hat and then piling on lots of skirt bits. Originally I had her wearing a different pair of boots, but then I used those on the next avi so I swapped them for these. I actually think these boots work better anyway.

This one went through so many variations! The only thing that stayed from the original avi idea I started with is the hat. Once I put these arms on I mostly tried to work on complimenting them with the rest of the outfit, and then I was also trying to keep a balance between the purples and the warmer orange/brown colors. I really liked these random glowing orbs as well. She's definitely in the middle of a spell, and it's my first witch that isn't wearing a dress.

I wanted to squeeze in a warlock as well. I should have tried to do more gentlemen, but I had so many half-started lady witch ideas to finish up and not as much inspo for male warlock ideas. I started with the shirt and staff pose on this one and I thought it would look nice with the vest. It was also a nice chance to use this beard and hair item, usually I would be taking the beard off. I had a few more background elements in there, but I thought maybe it was too cluttered, so I dropped it down a little.

It took me a while to get one, and then I was a bit stuck because it is in the ectoplasm scheme and I barely had any items for that. I tried to use mostly blackout and classic black and white. I really like how this turned out, actually. Here's the face under the mask.
