A pig farmer to follow my shepherdess. I actually made this one last summer, after I enjoyed this suspenders and pants combo on this avi.

Bittersweet posting today. I have so many avis in the backlog that I try to post one every week, but it's not going to be the same now that quiltlover is gone. I always looked forward to her reaction to my new avis in her chatterbox thread.

I was looking through my backlog and I actually have a few old swampberry/sweetberry avis I haven't posted yet. I'll have to get to them, but here's a nature witch I made fairly recently when I was trying to make an avi around this arm pose.

I think this one started with the sweet lily pose that looks like water around the feet, and that immediately made me think of this hair which I thought was very cool looking but would be hard to use. Everything else came from trying to keep the same watery pooling look while adding nature elements. She's some kind of kelpie creature, I think, that can take the shape of a lady.

Thank you so much! Which avis I wear gets influenced a lot by what books I'm reading, and for some reason the pastoral and fantasy ones were fitting the vibe User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

This one was inspired by the gowns with super long draping sleeves in My Lady Jane. I remembered this arm pose which I've used a couple times before and thought maybe I could pull off a similar look if I paired it with the right dress/skirt. I liked this combo and then I gave her a full dark sorceress aesthetic because I was reading Dreadful at the time and one of the running gags is how over-the-top the wizards dress. She's actually super sweet and friendly and uses her powers to help soothe the spirits of the restless dead.

Here's the previous avi's BFF, a fellow sorceress with a brighter color palette. This one started with me just playing with these new bangs and seeing what kind of hair style I could make with them. Then the skirt came on and it went from there. I really like how the different components of the dress came together. There were some arm poses I had that arguably fit the theme of the avi better, but I really liked how these sleeves looked with the rest of the gown and gave it a sort of 1930s silhouette. She doesn't have as defined of a specialty with her powers, but she is a little more shy and reserved and likes seeing how magic and physics interact.

I guess a recurring theme for avis I make this year is girls reading books surrounded by plants. I think this is my first time using the wonderland scheme? I also tried to make her face a little more distinct from the faces I typically make, not sure I succeeded.

Here's was my attempt at trying to use this skirt pose. Did I succeed? User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. I originally was using the swampberry version of the arm pose with the flower, but swapped it out for this pink one at the last minute. I didn't want her to turn out too similar to this fairy.

I made her back when this centaur angel item came out. I really liked this arm pose and then this dress worked so well with the horse legs. I'm not super happy with the ears and hair decoration, but I wanted to add more of the blue and it was the most cohesive way I could find.

hmmm-- the ears on Pure Neighsayer are the right color but they are closer together and sit on top of the head, so they give a very different vibe.

if you were looking to spend a pretty penny there's a very cute headpiece on I Am Wondrous Flowers that might fit? it does have more of the gold accents in it than the flowers you've got on, though. i never coveted the Wondrous/Alice sort of blue color scheme until today, i'll have to try to resist getting sucked in hahaha

Haha sorry to have two conversations going on with you in different threads! I just wanted to make sure I replied to this.

I did want horse type ears, but the ones I had planned to use (User Image) looked weird with the hair. These were the horsiest ones I had in ivory. Hmm you are right that I am Wondrous Flowers does have that great smaller hair flower, but I do not want to drop that much plat on it. I haven't been consciously collecting the scheme, only picking items up here and there especially if they had the nice green accents that I like. I'm always look for more green plant stuff!

ooh, i didn't even think of the monoceros item. those ears are of a better size, the neighsayer ones are itty-bitty.

and yeahhhhh, the I Am Flowers items are quite pricey. i like a few of them but only have one i happened to pull in a RIG because they're SUCH an investment. i do tend to get sucked in to florals and foliage-bearing items. like the Lost Child of Eternity hair item, which i picked up and then... have NOT been able to use successfully lol

Oh yeah, that is a nice hair! It took me a long time to use it myself. I might recommend the sable recolor with the seabreeze accents User Image seabreeze is usually a cheaper scheme and sometimes you can fudge it with other greens like midori and esmerelda. I think it even works okay with moss. It's kind of in between a lot of other shades.

Thank you rheostatic for the gorgeous new grotto!!!

I actually had this avi started already, so I was absolutely delighted when rheostatic sent me a copy of their latest grotto creation! I had a lot of fun playing with it, I can't wait to make avis with more of the poses! I tried to keep this avi from getting too similar to this avi, but maybe we can just consider it a sequel. I love this hat so much, I think this is at least the 3rd avi I've made with just this recolor.
edit 8/25: I thought the background actually looked super good with the zurg flag, so I made a version with that bg cutter instead
