You know you can add more slots to your outfits closet?
You have to pay a small fee for it though.
I change outfits whenever I feel like it. I'll let an outfit linger if I'm truly proud of it XD.

Art is so tiring but fun, I can't even imagine running patreon on top as well.
How is patreon btw? I wanted to try it but always backed out.

yes i do, i have plenty, i just uh...... hit the 200 cap.
so i went through and did a purge is all.

ehhhh well the art is FOR patreon, i dont draw outside of that, i simply dont have time to.
and it really depends what youre using it for, and what do you mean by 'how is it'

O wow you hit the 200 cap. that's crazy!
That might be me one day, since I'm always making and wanting new avis lol.

What kind of art do you draw for patreon, if you don't mind?
I meant, like how's your experience using patreon. What do you like and or don't like about it.
I've done research on patreon before but getting someone's experience on it is different.

hahahhaa, yeah i have over 200 avis on the front page, so it made sense to knock into the cap again
its alright i was hoarding some for way too long, i can always remake them someday!
its why i really enjoy this thread =D

i do nsfw fanarts =v=`
so i draw someone, but there are multiple versions of the 1 pic
and i do that twice each month.

for the most part its been working alright for me, ive been doing it for a couple years now [though i have july paused]
the only real issues i have are personal ones with how my work is; my audience, lack of patrons, etcetcetc.

what i dislike is since i do nsfw, i have to kinda do things in a specific way. to not really 'show' any nsfw to the public, and make sure everything is behind some sort of paywall. which makes sense.
another thing i dislike is there are always small little UI changes and just when i get used to it, they change it, so obnoxious, lol.

but i like that it can go directly to my bank for payouts, and scheduled payouts
so i dont have to deal with a middle man like paypal.

otherwise, the professionalism of how each creator treats their page is entirely up to the person.
some people are super duper professional, some are way too casual it hurts for something youre paying for >.>
personally i try to be more of an...... approachable professionalism?

i think id recommend just looking at the patreon pages of artists you look up to, ones that your stuff might be similar to.
and always under-estimate what you can do within a month. just in case if something does happen, you have a bit of wiggle room.
as long as you can reliably fulfill what you have for your tiers in a month, thats great!
anything extra, is a good bonus <3 or personal art, or mental breaks, etcetc.

and gumroad is no longer an option for me, but that is an entirely different can of worms.

I love nsfw and nude art, it's so expressive at times.
I draw those things myself too but because it's "adult friendly" I have nowhere to post them.
I get why restrictions are needed for nsfw art but not everything is "K"orn related, nor criminal lol.
There should be more platforms that accept nsfw art and not the criminal stuff, at least to me.

Patreon seems fun but I have no audience tbh lolol.
From what I've seen and heard, it seems that people with already established followings make it big on there. It's so tough but I'm sure there's pressures in maintaining a large audience as well.
Overall, I'm proud of you though haha. Keep it up Bunneh, you're doing great!

aw thank you ♥

hmmmmmm as far as websites go .... the only ones i know i can post on for most things is deviant art, furaffinity, twitter, bluesky, and pixiv
though pixiv is getting really weird with their nsfw as well.... so i dunno how much i can post there anyway anymore. i used to be able to post on gumroad but they removed all nsfw recently which absolutely sucked a**.

one artist who is really good at marketing and such, he had mentioned a bunch of stats but the biggest one stuck out to me: basically expect like... less than 5% of the people who follows you to actually pay you anything. he said if you ask everyone, about 15% of people would tell y ou theyre interested, but in reality, only about 5% will actually follow through.

but where you can post, what type of things to post, what is your strength and your niche and all... it all depends sooooo very much on what you are drawing and what you want to continue with.
being an artist for profit is hard :v

so i cant really give much advice without knowing what you wanna do.
but, i believe in you ~ making art profitable is hard D;

You're welcome emotion_bigheart

That stat you mentioned sounds about right tbh.
It takes a lot for people to care or to be invested in something, let alone someone.
When money's involved, that's like pulling teeth lol.

It's like I know what I want to draw but turning it into reality is difficult.
It's possible, it just involves a lot of anatomy.
Being an artist is tough but being a profitable artist feels damn near impossible at times.

pulling teeth indeed...
or rather , funny enough, sometimes its harder just to get INTERACTION than money O.O

yeaaa... being an artist is tough u.u
but! its fun~
i wont say its not work though, because it totally is.
you have to make sure you do studies, work on things youre bad at little by little, etc.
for me with anatomy, i tried to kinda do the bigger blocks first?
and then if i had trouble on something, id make it a note to put it in the next drawing, or not shy away from it if it comes up in the next drawing. like "dont hide the feet" if i suck at drawing them, but instead, DRAW them and learn how to do it. and then you are learning while youre working? and you have that in your pocket for next time.
sometimes it takes a bit of work and you have to learn things multiple times for it to stick.
and you ofc can stylize it however once you actually know th ebuilding blocks.
like i do anime stuff, but it doesnt mean i stray from anatomy cuz its mostly pretty much there.

I would get weird or rude interactions but thank goodness, not all the time.
Being an artist is fun and rewarding at times too.
Especially when you master something you've been struggling with for awhile.
I love to combine beast / animal and human features together. Sometimes just animal features creating a beast like creature (creature design)
So I'm constantly studying animal and human anatomy.
I take on one animal and human part at a time and work my way to other parts throughout my drawings. Like you, I also use the shapes method when forming the body.
Sometimes I just go with gesture rather than anatomy for more fluidity, it depends though lol.

when i said learn the bigger blocks i mean i learned the bigger parts of the body, before working on smaller ones? i use shapes i guess but pretty rough compared to what i used to do.
as we agree, just taking it 1 step at a time.
i feel like starting out a lot of people use the poses to hide parts they didnt wanna draw xD like feet, hands, etc. classic "hands behind back" "hands in pockets" "smaller crop so the arms are off the canvas entirely" lmao

but i know i used to avoid certain poses, because it would hide part of the character?
because before patreon i did personal commissions, and if i was drawing someone's OC that they paid for; uhhhhhh theyd be very mad if i just hid the entire character e.e;;;
so i made sure to show the entire front as much as i could, all the limbs and such, and it really crippled how many poses or angles i could do with the subject matter? u_u;;
so i ended up drawing the same pose, without realizing it, MULTIPLE TIMES.
there was one time i had 3 diff commissions, they basically all requested the same pose, and i would work on them kinda intertwining because id work on a sketch for one, while coloring another, etc. but then i checked my gallery and it was the same pose, each one, and i was like HOW DID I MISS THAAAAAAAAT lmaooooooooooooo
they were all different enough it was just something like, xDDDDDD wth ?
shouldve just made a base anatomy pose and edit it rofl

so being on patreon at least lets me explore different things i couldnt do on just commissions
while still having a suggestion box, just uh.... no one really uses it? so i just come up with my own ideas sweatdrop which is fine!! but, i dunno, i figure if youre paying maybe use it, xD
but its ok, theyre all lurkers. theyre at least paying me, and i appreciate that whole heartedly.
i just... want to have a bit more, something to make me feel connected?

When drawing for myself I wouldn't hide any body parts due to posing but when I drew for someone else, then I would hide hands and feet lolol.
I go all out now, don't care how it looks haha. I drew it and drew it multiple times to know now.
That's toooo funny that you had same pose syndrome for a hot minute XDDD!
I'm gulity of this too sometimes or it would be the same pose but different arm gestures.

I belive you'll explode and get more of an audience as you grow!
You already have a following and that's something to be proud of. 3nodding
I use to do polls on instagram when I use to use it and hardly got a response. Even with 2k followers, so I get the wanting more of a connection part.

Lmao, I'm just teasing XD

I would still be happy with my friends being my patrons.
A patrons a patrons after all but I get what you mean though.
Sometimes it feels like they're following you out of pity or because "we're friends."
At least to me that's how it comes off as sometimes.

As for the ideas on what to draw, what's your favorite thing(s) to draw?
