there are some guides for specific things, like what each cutter does, the scheme color breakdowns, and other things like that. so maybe if that is something that would be helpful, maybe check them out?

i no longer really make my own avis from scratch anymore.
the only times i make my own avi is when i am editing something that someone ghosted for me, but then i have that as like a 'base' that i can remove or add things to adjust to how i like more?

so its hard for me to really say any huge advice tips, but i suppose just keep trying, see what you like to make, your style and colors, and try to have fun! n.n
its really nice to challenge yourself, and find new items, and be able to use those new items and poses youve found in future avis

i think ghosting people can really help, because you are constrained to whatever they have, so it means you have to really think outside the box or change your idea entirely and end up sometimes making something you never wouldve made otherwise but still really great

the name doesnt ring any immediate bells, but i see in her closet thread that i do recognize a lot of names and other threads in their affiliates, so im sure ive seen them around! n.n

its really awesome they help you with avis sometimes, sometimes i just forget certain poses or items and when people make things or i ask them it jogs my memory like OH RIGHT THATS PERFECT
i love when that happens, xDD

the guides are hit or miss sometimes, but every once in a while you do learn something =D
its kind of niche when theyre super necessary, my favorite is the color scheme breakdown ones because it helps me look up items that still fit within the color schemes im going for OR for mixing schemes in general which is also pretty tough but super cool when it works

editing ghosted avis is a great way to kinda take what was given and enhance it
there are times people do some super awesome combinations and its like 'omg i love that part, but i would change the hair' and so id go in and modify some things and then to me it comes out super awesome in the end
or even if i end up changing like 90% of it, i NEVER wouldve made that resulting avi if it werent for the original ghosted avi to put me on that path.
so im really grateful when people wanna ghost me, even if i end up editing it, because i never wouldve made it myself since i dont really have the drive or energy or attention span to start from 0 anymore....

ive been on gaia since 2006, so quite a while! and over time ive learned i really enjoy wearing avis and im always questing new items
but its such a drag to MAKE them that i just end up not doing it ;A;
so making this thread, has really helped!!

i think if you want to make a thread, you do not need to be an expert <3
just so ahead and make one! and you can see your progress as you make things =D
its really fun just to see it all side by side
and you can organize it however you like

thats great~ the only advice id really give for it is maybe change the text color?
i use dark mode and its really hard to read the shade of purple youre using in your thread
maybe go back and forth between light and dark mode to test different colors?

loooove the color schemes you have on your avis though!!! sooo beautiful ~

seeing the avis together is SO fun
its SOOOO different than having them in the outfit closet when youre dressing up
i also recommend keeping backups! image backups i mean. the avi builder does an awful job of keeping them since they expire or can be overwritten >^<;;;
and maybe item lists?
