I saw this item a little while ago and i have been dying to use it to make an avatar with vitiligo! It was finally listed at a decent price so i snagged one~ I was excited to also use the new whale-cation angel item.

To set the scene, she's gone on a beach date with her girlfriend and their yappy dog. She keeps his treats in her fannypack, so he is being a nuisance while she is trying to pose for a cute instagram-worthy pic.

Next time i might make her girlfriend on the other side of the camera, but no promises you know how avatar making goes (rarely according to plan and always by the seat of the pants)

Wowee what a week it's been on Gaia, huh? So many site errors. Luckily I got a new videogame on the second (fantasy life i) so I haven't felt like i've missed out on much on here (I wouldn't have been hanging out on here much even if the site was running properly. girls gotta game).

Well anyways, you wanna hear about the avatar if you're still reading. I did (not technically) promise that I would make a gf for my previous girlie. I even gave her a camera even though it covers up her amazing abs. The things we do for that perfect instagram story i guess.

After a day of building and destroying sand castles, Wifi (the pesky little poodle) is tuckered out. It's probably about time to head home

This isn't quite the avatar I wanted. Part of my delay in posting (besides being addicted to a video game) was waiting fruitlessly for someone to fulfill my offer on the mp for the perfect arm mod. Didn't happen, I'm just gonna blame the site issues for nobody being online. It's also a summery, beach item so those are in high demand rn (damn me for making a seasonally appropriate avatar for once). for posterity, i will include a screenie of the true, intended avi under the spoiler with the current equip list

I have a few avatars that have been rotting iin my wardrobe for a few weeks. this is one of them! I haven't had the time/energy for creating new avatars for a few days, so im trying to get back into it by fixing/completing some WIPS

damn i would talk more about how i wanted to use this gown (it's so freaking pretty) but my cat has decided she needs to repeatedly run across my desk rn and I am running out of patience with her. love her to bits but im putting myself in time out! see y'all next time and does anyone else's cat try to bite their computer monitors or just mine ( burning_eyes )

I just put her together today, I fell in love with her smirky lip combo. I love grey hair it looks so sick. I have a few grey hairs irl but it doesn't have the same alt girl swagger as this baddie tbh it has more of an aging millennial swagger idk i tell myself im aging gracefully by not fighting it but i don't actually care that much about being graceful- it's gonna happen whether im kicking and screaming or not lmao

I wanted to use these tattoos, which don't usually seem to work with arm mods (granted i haven't experimented much with them) and then i just kinda decided to make her a "let's not use any extensive mods today" it was kinda refreshing! an almost classic gaia avatar. No avatar is complete without a toque, the navy kinda ties in with her denim blue jeans cutely. Speaking of cute, cat backpack! idk i think it fits her vibe and i love cats***

***I forgive my cat after the other day, but she also bit a hole in my partner's computer monitor that same day so idk if my partner forgives her. The monitor still works, but there is a definite tooth-sized hole and a smattering of dead pixels.... sweatdrop

I just feel like this girl is a spiritual successor to this previous avatar. She is very shoujo manga aesthetics, too emotion_bigheart I even gave her a kitty to contrast the OG's puppy

I finally started to experiment with cutting mods besides hair cutters! This one takes the stanley mug off of the lapin sweater. She could use a touch more grey, I just doon't own a lot of soft grey items, so i pivoted to baby blue. I tried this skirt and decided it looked cute, so i figured it would be okay to drop the grey. I ended up using two lilly locket variants, the glasses just look cute aND the skirt adds a (barely visible from the scarf...) touch of that blue.

I really wanted to make another cute girl smirk, this mouth layers very well with a lot of lip items. I also really like how poofy her hair is, absolutely precious~

Today is frankie's (my cat) second birthday! Happy birthday, creature!

I have a few more avis sitting in my wardrobe waiting to be finished, so maybe I will work on that this weekend (no promises) since the site issues seem to be improving.

Happy Canada day!~ (avi unrelated) This avatar is one that has been sitting in my closet for like a month now lol she is cute. I really like the purple-tone to her hair so I tried to pull some more purple into her eyes (alexandria's genesis, anyone?), purse, and bubbles (just vibes idk).

I have been trying to use this stupid bucket hat for months and have consistently been swapping it out at the last second for something better. This time it was the opposite where I had my favourite selachii toque until i switched to the bucket hat. I just like how it looks although you can't see how cute her eye makeup is anymore. I got a bucket hat (last season in the pride clearance) last year but i think it was child-sized (my head irl is also kinda abnormally big) so I never quite found it fit. Then my cat slept on it and covered it with fur and I washed it and it went missing. I have a ball cap from a concert this year that fits much better


I have been pretty consistently using this collar lately I pulled it from an LK RIG (which, now that site updates are hopefully wrapping up, maybe I can get bAck into farming) and I love the pop of punky detail it adds. I always like to put some sort of definition on the avatar's neck because the base avatar doesn't really have one.

the avatar block has been hitting hard lately sweatdrop i have barely been able to work on anything. happily, i cooked up this bright and sunny 'fit today trying to play with some new (to me...) items i have been picking up to try and get some inspiration

the 90s shoujo wig is actually kinda cute w/ the ciel scissors- i was worried the wig was too exaggerated with the fivehead and just how broad (big? idk) the bangs are but idk it's kind of a vibe. I wasn't sure if i would ever actually use the poppy reynard because the colour is honestly so bright (i have a few poppy items and the orange is just so much), but i liked how the trrousers look w the cardigan and decided to lean into the warm tones.

the eyes are kinda hard to use, but they are so cute~~ but they are so low and far apart it was hard to find a wig that i liked with them. and of course i used that smirk trick i have been obsessed with lately- the smile just layers so perfect with pretty much any lip item!!!

She's somewhat inspired by the Runway contest I didn't enter (i just didn't feel like using a voucher idk- i have tons of avis that would have qualified but it would have been a waste of my voucher) and a little inspired by the calgary stampede, she's a brand new cowgirl!!

I have been wanting to use hoedown south for a cowgirl without using the flannel and so this one uses the hat!! The weather we've been having would make leather buttless chaps really hard to wear, so I gotta give her props for her commitment to the bit. When you're at the stampede you do cowboy s**t i guess (apparently today is the last day of the stampede, but I wouldn't know I didn't get to go emotion_donotwant )

I've never been to the Calgary Stampede. I would have liked to go! Arkells (famous cancon band) played this year and I really wanted to go see them again! But my partner, who is also my defacto driver, said "there is nowhere in the world I want to be less than Calgary during the stampede" and try as I might I could not convince them otherwise

Today is a two-part avatar post!!!

Yesterday I was going through some of the WIPs in my closet (whatever happened to Tuesdays being WIP drop days? I said Iwas going to do that because Tuesdays are my Mondays but here we are I haven't done a proper WIP drop in ages...)

I bsaically just had her face and hair done up. Super cute tho! You'll notice a lot of my latest avis have incorporated cameras. idk why, it's just a quirky and fun accessory. I wasn't ready to change out of my prev avatar because she was cute, but I was still in the zone to keep playing with my avatars (I have a rlly cute bride in progress, on that note, i could totally stand to do another WIP drop lmao)



This girl came about, I was playing with the idea of the photographer gf as well as playing with these amazing pants (I want camo pants irl in the style of the scholar leg mod tbh but im afraid they would look odd on my stumpy legs. also if anyone has one of those recolour tickets and has no idea what to do with it- camo scholar pants???? wink ). I just get a nostalgic feeling from this avi, like pulling a box out of the attic and finding a candid polaroid of a former lover. she looks like she's smoking a forbidden ciggy and laughing about some forgotten joke or story? Maybe you want to look her up and see how she's ended up? It's been so long since you were carefree youth, so maybe it'd be best to let sleeping dogs lie. It would break your heart if she ended up being a boring adult like she always made fun of her parents for being, back when the both of you were convinced you'd change the world~

I love the touches of red accessories inspired by her shirt (and in the end you can't even see the red cherry emblem on it that inspired the rest of the red). the garters were a last second addition, i just wanted a little more definition to her legs/socks.

gaia needs more city backgrounds. It's kinda fun how bright the backgroundd is compared to the relatively grungy, muted colours & vibes of this girl. Wasn't rlly my vision but I couldn't find another decent brick wall that didn't feel like she was just floating. A good background needs to have a floor/ground of some sort or else it seems really weird to me.

I have really been enjoying the pizza me arm pose lately.
