WIP DROP

Idk, maybe Tuesdays are just going to be WIP/Unsaved avatar drop days (if I have enough for a worthwhile post)



More playing with the new hoedown bangs. i literally love these bangs emotion_kirakira emotion_kirakira emotion_kirakira but the avatars don't feel finished yet.

1. Trying to find a skirt that layers well with both her sweater and her legs has been an actual nightmare lmao. I might branch out to some different legs, not quite decided yet. I love how her face is turning out

2. I got hooked on the spunky bikini + short shorts look. I recently got these eyes and I'm dying to use them. super cute! She looks very contemplative. I feel like she's missing something to sit on (i hate leg mods that look like i'm sitting on nothing) and some sort of interesting... thing????



I really wanted to layer a bunch of background items together and I like how it turned out there (here, there, this (twice), and that) but between the finicky layering (stuff just disappears randomly when I equip new items, you know how it goes) and some undefinable feeling I'm just not there yet.



I haven't made a new avatar for Erika in a bit. I got a cute oversized sweater (item linked above for the first avatar's legs). Very cozy and wintery and it's summer. I can imagine her giving Clara a big hug, I think that this sweater would give amazing hugs.

Happily reporting back about my election night dread, in spite of my riding (and well, my entire province) going as conservative as expected, federally we went with the guy whose platform wasn't rooted in hate. Now I get to go to work in a few hours and deal with a bunch grumps, but at least I can breathe again

Happy May, happy pan-Asian heritage month!

I completed a WIP i posted yesterday!!!

She is so cutesy and picture perfect, she climbed real high in a tree to chill with the birbs- a free spirit!!! four items make up the background, a simple backdrop to be a blue-green sky, sowing seeds to show off the forest floor, cardinal friendship where she perches on a sturdy branch, and falling leaves for extra foliage. emotion_bigheart emotion_bigheart Yesterday I mentioned wanting to find a good seat and a point of interest for this girlie, and the cardinal item offers both by giving her a branch to sit on with the interesting birds. it tells a fun story about a cute, tree-climbing girl.

Her face is so unbelievable CUTE! I love the bunny-grin from haunted talker, it comes with perfectly cute freckles that are enhanced by the mori agate freckles. Her eyes are so cute and smiley. she went from being somewhat pensive in the previous post to a precious and grinning girl. I liked the moodiness of her WIP version, but this version just makes me so happy.

I love this poofy stitch witch wig, I've been buying up a few of its recolours just for itself, but combined with the hoedown bangs this one is super fun.

I felt like I made enough changes to my avatar to justify a quick update. I changed up her background to a better sky, and changed the branches to a lighter wood tone to go better with the seat branch. I like the navy blue/grey tone of everything, i don't have the words in my vocabulary to describe what i like about it.

Usually I stick Erika in darker colours, but I'm a sucker for double denim. She looks ready to rock out at a pride festival in her summer-y denim 'fit.

I've been slowly amassing a bunch of letterman jackets (because that's a signature piece for Clara, she stole one from her ex lol) and while the colour of the jacket on this item is off, I love the leg mod- the blush on the butt and the jean short shorts are so dumb i love it. The purple high-tops remind me of Erika's hair, so yeah. I pulled the sweater from an LK RIG and nearly sold it, but I've been wanting a Frankly item for a while and I thought the pop of colour could be fun. I used it the same day I pulled it, so I think i made the right call. (until the last moment, I nearly went with the spunky bikini top combo that I have been using lately. It's so good, literally buying all the colourways)

Not a WIP drop today, I wanted to continue the pride festival theme with my OCs (a month early, but whatever).

Today, Clara is decked out in some bisexual pride gear. This would be her first pride festival as someone in the LGBTQ+ umbrella, but I think her and her ex boyfriend would have gone to pride events as allies previously.

I love this shirt with various arm mods (you can use a lot of them, it's worth trying things out). The cleavage is out of this world! I also like how the beyond moonlight face layers with the froggy spells face to give some cute lipstick- i use this combo a lot for Clara.

Ugh, I've been so sick the past few days but I'm finally on the mend. I barely had the energy for Gaia dailies, let alone avatar building!

Here is a cutie I started working on before I got sick, I just had to scrape together the last item I needed for it (also I had wanted to post my bi pride Clara first, I've had this cutie in my saved avis for a little while now redface ). I love the blush on her belly button. Also with her tum, I had so much trouble with her piercing because originally her earrings were gold and I don't like to mix gold and silver jewelry but I also didn't like the gold version of the navel piercing. I found the bittersweet herbal taste item buried in my inventory which had a similar ear piercing but in silver!! Maybe gold jewelry would look better with the buttons on her shirt and her belt hardware, but i just have trouble with it. idk it doesn't spark joy for my irl or on here.

I just love the flannel pose on the hoedown item. I swear I will branch out and use more of the poses eventually (or else all my cowgirls will look the same). I have found yet another cute hair using the hoedown bangs which I will probably post on here in the next few days (I'm still ironing it out). Idk, the hoedown items just kinda knocked it outta the park for me emotion_bigheart

The bridge piercing! Looks a little weird on gaia avatars (not much of a defined nose bridge) but the vibes are there. The safety pin ear piecing is essential for my punk girls. I have never managed to use the dimple piercings before and been happy with them, the placement is just weird, but i like them on this demon. I had like 7 of these things somehow, I trashed most of them the other day in a FIT OF RAGE, but I am ever grateful that I am a pack rat and I kept one copy because I ended up using it today!

I love these eyelashes i found recently, and so cheap!

Her halo signifies that she is bound to the Demon Hunter Maribel after being bested in a fiddle competition, they drive around the south fightin' demons and bickering (mostly bickering). Wait is this just Supernatural but with magical girls? (I never watched Supernatural bc i was too busy watching anime)

I was looking for tattoos the other day, and this item was like rad we love the basic black and white colour scheme (easy to use) and the dynamic pose (slightly less easy to use but a lot of fun to play around with). I got the layering I wanted with her face makeup, too, so even better!!

I love the combination of heavy metal and cutesy poopsy with this girl, I would 100% be friends with her (but I think she might be too cool to be friends with meeeee emo ). The bows sit so good on this wig tho, perfect placement, kudos to the artist.

I had an alternate version that has a crowd like an actual concert, but I don't like that her bottom half gets swallowed up. One sec, let me upload a screen grab for you



^^it also messes with her makeup layering! I like the thiccccc eyeliner dammit. But I do like that it sets the scene~

While I was sick (im still a little sick i lost my voice today embarrassing) I had a literal fever dream that Des Rocs was performing at the Calgary Stampede and I was like damn I'm gonna see this concert. Then I woke up to the horrors of no Des Rocs concert in my near future and a raging fever because my meds wore off aaaaaaaaahh

Also Awolnation, we gotta have a talk about how rude it is to only have two Canadian stops on a tour and having those two stops be Vancouver and Toronto. Dude. Canada= BIG, me= POOR add a stop closer to me!

IDK I wanted to do somethings a little more simple(?) today. I wanted to use GS items for the bulk of the outfit and focus on making the face real... face-y. I like how lame the outfit turned out in like a losercore way. fannypack and a giraffic tee? so freaking lame i love it and i would wear it irl.

I love love love her expression, the mascara MAKES it. I have been using these bridge piercings like crazy lately, which is funny bc i was so on the fence with them until a couple of days ago.

I adapted this baby for the 10 items or less category in Runway, May 16. BROOOOO I put like 10 items just into the original's face!?!?! It was a really fun challenge to cull items until we just had the absolute essentials for the look. Under the spoiler, you can see what items make the cut

I'm telling myself that people thought it was SO RAD that there were more than 10 items.! couldn't possibly be a me issue ahahaaaaaaa

I can't say that it isn't a bit of a bump to the ego, but also I love this avatar (I love the original with a full wardrobe of clothes and accessories more, but this one is fun) and I enjoyed the process of the challenge.

I have never been all that concerned with people copying my avatars (why would they? but also if u want to copy me item for item that's a lil weird) and it would make it easier to delete extra avis from my wardrobe (it's getting so full)

Pizza girl is back! I think she is so cute, I gotta give her a name. I was showing her off to my partner and they said that her hair reminded them of a blueberry yum_blueberry We went on the second nacho quest* of the summer yesterday, partner got a blueberry lager (I got a hard lemonade). The pleasant blueberry flavour really came out, but the beer flavour overpowered the pleasantness.

I should make her a girlfriend. blueberry-lemon is a delicious combination

ANYWAYS some notes on todays avatar, I love her tank top! I love finding really neat gold shop items i never look in the gold shops so i miss so much. It was hard to get the dead midnight boots to layer with a good bottom, originally i had her in a gs streetwear hakama item but when i hit save her legs ended up on to of the pants.

*What is nacho quest? It's when you go on a quest for nachos and patio beers. Literally just go to any pub with outdoor seating and share a plate of nachos with your favourite people and drink a casual beer (if you drink alcohol, sub for cola if you don't). It's actually so fun we had the first nacho quest during our calgary vacation last month

I have been working in this cutie for a couple of days. mostly on the bottom portion, it was hard to settle on a cute skirt/shoes. I loooooove her top, though, it's super cute with the lace and the puff sleeves.

I keep accumulating more Ichiko's date items, idk they are just cute. love the purse and the shirt layers super good with the print tank top as an undershirt. I was dying to use the new meowmeowmeowmeowmeowmeowmeow item 'cause i am so stoked they finally come in a denim colour.

anyways i tried acrylic nails for the first time this week (diy press ons, im not made of money) and i love how they make my hands look but typing is a real pain in the behind so im gonna call it there for this post (other things that are a pain in the behind include picking up change customers place flat on the counter and unbuckling my seatbelt and opening jars/bottles)
