Hello! I thought it would be helpful to have a place for people to submit their queries in advance for the next Ask the Staff event. Feel free to post your questions here, questions answered will go in OP of the next event. For those of you who's questions did not get answered, you may post your question here.

1. One question per post.
   Please only ask one question in your post. Asking more than one question in your post may result in your post getting skipped for not following this.

About the daily log in bonus. Would it be possible to tweak is slightly? Instead of getting that log in bonus stamp. How about instead you provide gold or platinum? It would be so much easier to give out too! Instead of having to claim the item, going into your inventory, clicking on the item to open it, confirming to open it! And then getting an item that hardly anyone wants to buy.

The amount of gold can increase during the week as well! First day you could get say 1000 gold, but if you log in all 7 days, you could obtain 100k in gold.

Have you considered relocating to a cheaper office or working from home to save costs?

I don’t know how much your rent or income is every month, but after discussing this with other Gaians and checking out the average office rent prices in California, I’m sure you will be able to find a much cheaper and nicer office if you decide to relocate.

If relocating is irrelevant, there is a much cheaper way that will never cost more than $0 per month. Businesses worldwide have started with this, and that is to not have any office. Those businesses figured out that they didn’t really need an office building. Renting an office monthly did nothing but drain time, money, and energy. Every staff member started working from home where they got more freedom and benefits including: No daily commute/driving to and from work (meaning saving travel time and car expenses like gasoline and insurance), more freedom (every staff member can work in their own home, they can concentrate and follow their own work schedules), better life (mobile working life can actually improve life quality and over time lead to better business practices).

And since Gaia now runs on cloud servers, a mobile working life where all staff members can work from home can be very rewarding. Having cloud servers means that any staff member can work from their home or anywhere else. You could host weekly or monthly meetings in beautiful free public places, where staff members eat lunch together and discuss how they can improve work and Gaia Online. Outside the weekly or monthly meetings, staff members can communicate with phone, SMS, chat, video chat, email, and even with Private Messages. Many businesses are heading towards mobile working life, so starting early with this will definitely be very futuristic. What do you think about this?

I agree. I was just looking up how much it costs to live/rent in San Jose, California and the price is too sky high not even a basketball player can reach.

It is for those who can afford to live there and do business. But Gaia Interactive is not one of them. They need to relocate somewhere cheaper where it won't put a dent on their struggling finances.

I'm not sure whether the question I'm about to ask applies to only one of the above categories.

My question is. When are we going to see a fair spread of masculine items for us Angel Subscribers?

I was an Auto Cash subscriber when it first came out. And I jumped at the chance again to become one when it was re-instituted as the Angel Subscription. But... Here I am, having resubscribed for over a year, and I'm still sitting on 10 boxes because Gaia has only released one MASCULINE Angel Item (to my knowledge).

I miss the days of the Monthly Collectable when, in general, we had the ability to choose between a masculine, feminine, or paws item. At least that was balanced. As of right now, your male subscribers, and paws subscribers for that matter, are being woefully left out.

During last months pledge we heard promises of how Gaia was going to try and do better. I suggest one of the first places it starts is with it's male clientele. The "special" items Gaia releases should be more balanced. Point in fact, I can't think of a single Male/Masculine Umami Drop item that has ever been released. As things stand I'm seriously considering cancelling my Angel Subscription. And I propose that anyone that would like to see more balanced item releases do the same.

The only thing that would miff me about this idea is that the Gaiapledge would be a MONTHLY thing instead of the completion of the drive at the end of this month just to keep Gaia afloat for a few more months.

Don't get me wrong, the idea is pretty cute, I really like it, but if they tie cash items (zodiac starsign items) to the $2.50 donations every month then......what was the point of the pledge in the first place? And what is it for aside from keeping the site afloat? The app?
And what would be the prices of the zodiac starsign items? Would they remain as $2.50 or hike up in price every month?

Just my thoughts.

Ok so, we have the gcash shop and gcash sales... which the sales are still continual but aren't as much as what they were (thankfully for you guys) but now we have the angel subscription as well, and now we have the pledge program....I don't mind supporting Gaia as I have both bought gcash numerous times, have a monthly subscription and have participated in the pledge which I'm sure most gaians are doing that as well so really my question is....where is all that money going, and when are the changes you spoke of, and the potential roll back going to occur? I feel as though the less items, announcements, 'weekly' sales, etc would help with not only the revenue but also the marketplace inflation? What about ending limited quantity items?

Hi, I also agree with you. Like other Gaians have mentioned, San Jose is in Bay Area, one of the most expensive places to run a business. Only the world’s top wealthiest business (like Google, Apple, Amazon etc.) have a chance to rent an office and live there over time. On top of this, there is California’s very high taxes and strict regulations that heavily restricts small- and medium-sized businesses to grow. I hope they will at least consider finding a cheaper and nicer office outside Bay Area. There are really no benefits for Gaia’s staff to rent an office there. And since they now have cloud servers, they don’t really need an office. They will save a lot of time, money, and energy if they decide to start working from home. Just because mobile working life isn’t popular yet, doesn’t mean it won’t be popular.
