It's hard when you're an impressionable little girl. Once my mom told a story that made me not only not look in mirrors for about a month, but also be afraid to go to public bathrooms alone, cuz apparently their mirrors are scarier than the ones at home??

Well, they're creepy as hell, for one.

And the story she told me? CREEPY.

I'll tell it to you.


Once my mother and my grandmother had a fight, and eventually she yells that she hates my grandmother and stalks to her room to fume. She sitting in her darkish room (something about heavy drapes, it was daytime though) and she hears a man. He whispers to her that if she hates her mother so much, why doesn't she just kill her? My mother, for the love of me I don't know why she spoke back to it, tells it that she could never kill her mother. He whispers that it would be so easy, he knows right where there's a knife in the kitchen, he could help her get it. Mom said she thought about it, she really did, until she randomly looked over into her mirror and saw this things face.

She said he was black, like pitch black, and had red eyes. He looked like a man to her, but there was something about him that just terrified her beyond the obvious 'scary thing in my mirror'.
At that point she starting flipping s**t, I guess, and told the thing she would never kill her mother, she loved her mother and to never bother her again. Apparently he hasn't, BUT, he has visited virtually every other member of my family.
