Unless my muse runs off with her Wood Nymph next week, everybody should be getting their art soonish. I've been pretty productive as of late. It's a sign that I've been getting commissions that excite me and make me want to draw.

I might print of a copy of it and color it using watercolor. I would ruin it if I colored it digitally. Though I always tell people that if they wish to color my work, feel free, but give me credit for the lines.

If you use layers it wouldn't be ruining it. ;3 You could get rid of them any time, so the line art is left.

I have photoshop CS4 and SAI Painter Tool. I use layers, I'm just not very good with it. It's too similar to acrylic/oil painting for me sometimes. I avoided that with a passion in college... My concentrations were illustration and sculpture. So, I'm just very new to digital painting. I do it, I just don't think I'm good at it.

I got the one month trial of SAI and after that I had to buy it, and since I some how justified the price tag on CS4 I decided I could justify buying SAI.

I think it's a pretty good price compared with photoshop (even without all the special effects)

It does things that photoshop should be able to do, but isn't... the line tools in photoshop are way too complicated for people who don't have tablets... but I do have to admit that I occasionally love to use brushes. It cuts down on the amount of time I have to spend on backgrounds... or painting in leaves on trees.... I hate that I do that...
