Styles:
.Artists Choice. - This is how I prefer to work. Sometimes I throw lines into a semi-realistic piece, sometimes not. Sometimes I throw a background in, sometimes not. Ect. I might also experiment with my style on a work like this, which is good for you. It means extra detail and attention.
.Heart Shaped Box. - This is my most detailed,' semi-realistic', 'Painty' style, the first line of samples are a good clue as to how it would look.
.The Candy Box. - This style includes more lines and is flatter, but is also geared more towards the 'anime' style and is sometimes more flattering for complex avatars.

.Miniature Heart Shaped Box. - This style is still painty and blendie, but also gorgeously messy/watercolorish. I won't keep it in the lines!
