Well I didn't want to get banned or anything because I wasn't 14 years old back then. So I left.
Bad choice xD
I joined in april 2004, so one month after you ^^ I even joined 2 days after my birthday! xDDD
Well it wasn't much harder indeed, if you just played good and smart. And people were nice, and generous... they donated me money so I could get my first DI ever I've still got... the winged anklets ^^ It took me only 2 days to get those. They were 4,4k lol. I remember exactly!

@Silver:Back then, I was in Gaia for socializing. xD Didn't bother much with the items, though they were fun to play around with.
The first big quest someone helped me with was the OMG. Geez, they were just 150k back then~~

And yes! The people were really nice. It's part of being a small-ish community, I guess, everyone knows each other.
Though right now isn't too bad.

Same here, but my English was so bad, I ended up in those thread with people who speak the same language as I did. Meanwhile I was trying to get some pretty things.
I don't find it too bad either, but Gaia had some moments I was on the edge of leaving.
One of the reasons I'm in love with Solia and the community there. The avatars were also extremely sexy in my eyes xD And for me counts; if the design and artwork looks good, I might like it.
Which is why I don't like those boring games that look plain ugly or boring hahaha.

No it's not hard to get started. And there are 30k+ members. Not bad for an avatar site that's almost half a year old.
