No they just make the gold items in the shops worth a fortune as well.
Its making it so that no one can afford things unless they donate or are artistic.

But its affecting the art side as well, prices are rising in shops.
Its making it so that good art is getting harder to get.
I dont usually make that much out of random aquariums.

I admit i love my EIs...but it was easier without them.
