of mine actually helped to write and play the intro music to
a Homestruck song (not sure what it's called though). XD

Naw, first I was deferred from Early Action, then rejected on "Ivy Day".
There was only one person who got into Harvard this year and she was
recruited as an athlete (swimmer) over a bunch of internationally ranked
mathematicians at my school, so, well, I just shake my head at that.

But good for you for picking somewhere you love over a name. I find too
many Asians just pick whatever's ranked highest which is pretty dumb.

haha, gotta love the city. LA has one sick-a** nightscape from the tower i work at. hoping to come back here after grad school ^___^

but i'm totally with you on the asian thing. my twin's some kind of engineering genius,, so she skilled 2 grades and ended up with a ride to both stanford and berkeley for phd... our asian church could not keep its nose out of it, and then there was a lot of nasty gossip about how she "lied about getting into stanford" when she chose berkeley -_-'

I was born in Manhattan, so I'm a Yorker at heart (although I
hated - couldn't even stomach the idea of going to a college
without a campus - NYU ) so I'd like to end up there eventually.

I was suppose to go to college last fall, but they 'lost' my registration papers and didn't get it fixed until half way through first semester. e 3e
Now I'm going THIS fall, so I'm a year behind, freaking community college..

oh no =( did they say why?

I've heard a lot of bad stories about this particular community college just being lazy when it comes to recruiting and registration. I wasn't the only one this past year. We raised hell for a while but they just kept telling us that there was nothing they could do and to just apply again.
