I blame the fact that I spent a horrible good amount of time drawing & posting art here in the past & now it's become the emotional equivalent of coming back to a neighborhood you used to live in LOL

I pretty much taught myself to draw on Gaia because I had so much enthusiasm drawing avis and stuff, it really got me into drawing in the first place. I got my first tablet because I saw other artists doing digital art on here. And I definitly stole a bunch of my style and ideas from other artists on here when I was younger lol

oh my god yeah, that sounds about right. being in joint shops with people + streaming freebies in AF probably boosted my art output far past whatever I would have done on my own. i think when I slowly started moving away from gaia to places like tumblr/twitter, I lost track of a lot of my fave artists from here in the transition.

now wondering where they might have gone, hmm
