Lol, my sketches look dreadful, no worries.
Only tweak I can see, aside from the fact you mentioned he still looks too 'girly', is his ears. They're a bit bigger and have tufts on the end :3 Like lynx ears. Otherwise, looks good to me!

What exactly are the markings on him that go along his shoulders, back, ext. ?

Here's a pic showing those on his shoulders - click. They go down to about mid-upper arm. Then those on his shoulder blades/back taper off into a 'v' that ends about mid-back.

It would depend on what you'd like me to draw. : 3
but at the very least it would get a knee up.
Probably something just past that with a simple kind of boarder like this
so it looks cleaner where the image ends instead of just stopping.
