Hello, and Welcome to Cuddly Cactus Art Shop!

*ANNOUNCEMENT*: This shop will probably not be permanently closed. I just have a lot to do art wise and school wise. So this may reopen when I have less on my plate.

You can call me Harley. I do full body, waist, busts, and now chibis. I also will do art of some objects if I am capable.
I do sketches, and then use a mouse and SAI to do my art.
Please read everything before placing an order. Also, please use my form that I provide in order to place an order. Once you have sent the trade, you may not cancel for any reason once I have started. If you wish to cancel prior to my starting, you must private message me to let me know. You may also not change prices at a later time. Prices must be of the agreed upon amount. I'm sorry I must be strict on this, I've recently had someone cancel on art that I had put quite a bit of time on without notifying me, and certainly without my approval. Please be considerate of the artist, just as I am considerate of you, the customer. I do put a lot of work into my art, as well as time.
I started doing art a little over a year ago, so I'm sorry I have so many don'ts, it's simply because I am still learning, and they may change in the future. I may do some for a higher bribe, please ask first though before assuming.
If you want to stick around and talk, I'd LOVE that. I really do enjoy talking to people, so that's fun for me. And I've made a few friends that way. If you just slap a post here, and don't feel like talking, that's fine too, of course.

School does come first, so forgive any time for potentially slow deliveries from time to time. I try to crank them out quickly, but lately I've been super busy with school and life, so please understand those come first. After I accept, you can watch the progress by looking at the slots and the WIP section, as well as the "working on" in this post. I will also quote with WIPs. Please note though. I will change small things on your WIPs but major changes, I cannot do. Major changes include things such as what was drawn (unless you notify me beforehand), poses, additional characters, ect.

Availability:
Semi-hiatus. What's this mean? Um...It means I have too much school work and am too stressed to work quickly on my art, as I normally intend to. I'll still be doing art, finishing my orders since I'm full, however, it's not going to be as quick. Sorry, I just know that when I get stressed, I stop eating or sleeping and my fibromyalgia (it's a disease) acts up. So I'm trying to keep from being ill. D: I hope you forgive me for this if you've ordered art or are considering for the future. This shop will remain opened for orders once my waitlist and slots open. For now, I am full and on a semi-hiatus.

Experimental: If you tell me you do not mind being used to experiment, I may try a different style of shading, lines, or try animating if it's a chibi. Don't tell me what to do in my experiment, just tell me you don't mind being experimented on. I'll give you what you ask for, for instance, if you request a full body anime style, I'd not give you an experimented chibi instead. I'd just experiment with my style in your order. This isn't a different price, but it's an option. There's no guarantee it will look different from my normal style should I decide my experiment isn't what I want to do.

All art: All art is done by bribe. I'll give more elaborate backgrounds for a higher bribe. Lower bribes will get simpilar backgrounds. All full body and waists include backgrounds. Busts and object art will have a simple color background, and/or words.
Chibis are cheaper, being as they are flat colored and are simple. Bribe accordingly. Chibis have a min bribe of 10k.

Note: Do try to be respectful with your bribes. I may not be that great at pricing, but I do know a lowball when I see one. I do work hard on this art, so do try to make your numbers respectful. I'm not expecting it to be super high, but I also know what it's not worth. Thank you for your respect. heart

Art trades: I do art trades if I like your art enough. Please let me know and I'll decide if I want to accept. Take no offense if I decline, I may not need art and I'm picky.

Real Life Art (It'd eventually drive me nuts. I can't beat your mom in creating you.)
Furries (No good at the fur.)
Mechas (It won't look good, trust me.)
Gore (I just find it too icky to look at or draw, sorry...)
Clutter (I don't do clutter.)
Groups (Sorry I just don't have the time, this may change though. Please forgive. High bribes would potentially change my mind.)
OCs without enough references. (Sorry, I'm not a mind reader..;; Unfortunate, I know.)
Avatars beyond my artistic capability or that disinterest me. (I don't want to give you bad art. If I discover it later, I may decline the trade and let you know it's out of my artistic range.)
Art for rude costumers (Treat others how you want to be treated, just a good rule for life.)
Porridge hair or other lolita curls. (Because I fail so hard at them.)


I know the don'ts is long, but I intend to hopefully practice enough on my own time to provide some of these later on. I just don't want to provide poor art because I'm not good at it.

Transparent backgrounds are offered on these but the bribe must be high since it takes a lot of time and effort to remove backgrounds on art that large.

The amount of time varies. I put school and my internship first, and the more difficult avatars always take longer. Slots may not be finished in the posted order, due to my mood, though I try to stick to the order. Tekteks are for me, though you can feel free to click.
If slots are filled, I will place you on the waitlist if you should order anyway. This just means you beat the crowd once I finish slots, being as you'll be bumped up to slots.

I will quote you when I finish your art, from there you can head over to the pick up section and retrieve your art and finish the trade.

Unfortunately I am still on semi-hiatus. I'm really trying to get these orders done, so I appreciate your patience. Life just kind of got in my way. School work, drama, loss of family members, and my own health just added up, so the patience of you wonderful costumers is so appreciated. 7/27: Shop opened and first order.
8/4: I'm back from my road trip, the works in progress should start progressing more and more, and eventually be delivered.
8/8: Now offering chibis.
8/10: First person blacklisted in shop.
10/11: Still on hiatus, but I promise I'll try to get those who are waiting done as soon as I can with my schedule. Thank you for your patience. Also, I have two new coloring styles, once I finish these orders, I'll provide more examples of them.
