I wear hats every change I get. XD Only sometimes I won't, usually dependent on the weather. Sunny/overcast-ish days I tend to not. I would wear a touque all the time if it didn't get so hot.

And thanks. :3 I hadn't really thought about being good at it - it's just something that I really want to experiment with. Not in the painty way, but just complete black and white, no greys. Manga style, I guess, and it would definitely have some dramatic aspects, since I have to focus more on what's important.

I also need a cool signature like yours. XDD

Is good! Is real good. I like things where solid blacks are used for shading, things like that, nice and clean...I just don't do that much, if ever. XD I should try sometime, yeah.

I admire people who put such intense detail into their work with just black and white. That's what I wanted to do for my pic for Ria nd Kizen, but... epic fail. XD So I gotta work at this. It was more concept problems than actual drawing, though.

And ... yeah, I kind of need to settle on my name. I feel kind of iffy on Torchy nowadays because it's not a penname I would want put out into the industry. But it IS my online name, since... forever. Since I was ever anyone online. On the other hand, I can have an artist penname, too...

Yep, yep. I don't think I was close, though. XD I gave up on Ria after I redid the eyes like six times and then drew Kizen in semi-realism because it was easier. Didn't finish that, either.

And yes... I suppose. Thankfully, I'm in an industry where we understand usernames and online life. XD

Yeah, manga-style. I've never really been good at that. Didn't draw Ria at all.

I've used a lot of different names on the net... I used Firestorm as my old gamer name, but I've since started using Carnassial. I've only used Kasamizuki on dA, Kastaleikas on here, Kawe! on Wajas, Quark on Khimeros... Used Kaitou, some other Jap name, and Quarke for MMOs... I try to keep the names simple. By far I like any variation on Kastaleikas and Carnassial/Carn. I dunno. Will have think about it.

There. I just redid one of my dA artworks, though it's not finished... I want to make it as pretty as possible so that I can learn something about gradient colouring. XD

Old one's in the background. The funky gradient colour is just to help get rid of the white background. XD

Nice! The lines are pretty clean. And the eye is mesmerizing. 8D Gradients help with backgrounds and...stuff...I just never use it. XD Maybe I'll try it again...sometime...when I draw.

Yeees, the liinnnes. XD I need to avoid being so sketchy so that lineart will come more quickly. It makes me feel better about my art, too. I don't feel like there's much difference between the two renditions, though, fundamentally, like all that's changed is just circumstantial.

And yeah, using a cool gradient to try to get that feeling in the drawing. xd

Anyway, I gotta head of. I have to wake up at seven despite not having class because one of my friends asked for a wake up call. Ffft. He probably doesn't know I don't have class, otherwise he likely would have told me to forget about it.

Either way. I'm starting to feel down in the dumps and I need my energy for the day and all that SCHOOLWORK. ARRGGGGH. That done, have a good night, you two. o wo

Yeah..it's like with life drawing and stuff. Like...don't rush, because it's nice to have one good, strong line rather than a bunch of scribbles. MUCH easier said than done, though. XD But yeah, it should be good practise.
